@bez91 I used digital ovulation so definitely ovulated on time. Let’s see

CLSM · 06/01/2021 15:25

@Firevie I’m 15days dpo

MrsF111 · 06/01/2021 15:25

@CLSM no advice just hugs, its such a stressful process, fingers crossed for a BFP or AF soon so you know where you stand, my cycles have been 5 weeks since i had medical management, normally i would have bad ovulation pains today but absolutely nothing. Our bodies like to keep us guessing it seems!!

MSG92 · 06/01/2021 15:59

@HappyVibes aaaaaaaaaaah how exciting!!!!! Congratulations!! ❤️❤️❤️

I can't remember who it was asking about scans, but govt advice to hospitals was to allow partners in scans and birth etc, I had mine yesterday and DH was allowed, he had to wait outside until the scan then leave straight after. And I had an early scan at 8wks, I BELIEVE internal are better if it's before that, which was why I waited until 8.so I imagine an EPU scan would be between 7-9 weeks.

CLSM · 06/01/2021 16:01

@MrsF111 thank you fingers crossed for you too. My cycles were 5 weeks prior miscarriage pregnancy and now they are back at 4 weeks since surgical management. My first was exactly 4 last cycle was actually early by 2 days so it’s a bit weird this one doesn’t seem to be coming today but don’t want to get my hopes up as test yesterday was negative

Firevie · 06/01/2021 16:13

@CLSM you know what they say ‘you’re not out until AF arrives’ at least that what I’m pinning my hopes on ....

Firevie · 06/01/2021 17:10

Ladies, I feel very low today not sure what’s prompted it. I had my MMC in July. I’m wondering whether I should get any NHS tests done? If so, which ones? Grateful for any advice. Thanks xx

SophW194 · 06/01/2021 17:11

@CLSM I have had a quick google to look for boots sensitivity level and couldn’t find much other than this in the photo attached...if it’s right then 50is quite a high threshold, and you could probably do with using a more sensitive test such as first response early result or a similar one such as clear blue ultra early as their levels are much lower at 6.5 & 10. Hope this helps xx

SophW194 · 06/01/2021 17:12

@CLSM would help if I attached the photo ! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Xx

Hi @Firevie thats when i had mine too - its hard isnt it. Not sure on tests they offer or if you would have to wait a year?, im now on cycle 3, my misscarriage took a long time to complete, I know thats no time at all but doesnt make it any easier!!

SophW194 · 06/01/2021 17:38

@Firevie what sort of nhs tests are you thinking ? Sorry you’re feeling low 😪. Grief often comes in waves and feels like it hits you out of nowhere and it’s important to remember that this is a grief process. Sadly, it’s often one that you go through relatively alone..perhaps just your partner. Often when others do know they stop asking how you’re feeling once the physical side is gone but the emotional pain is still there. It’s absolutely understandable to feel really shitty at times and that’s ok ! It’s a horrible process xx

HappyVibes · 06/01/2021 17:44

Aww @Firevie sorry you’re feeling like this. I have very very often felt the exact same and I think it’s completely normal and expected to feel it after everything we have been through, and continue to go through too. You’ve had a tough time and you’re o lay human so it’s bound to get to you at points lovely. I wish I had something to say that could make you feel better but it often is needed to just allow yourself to feel those feelings and have a bit of self care and awareness time.

In regards to the testing, the criteria here for NHS testing was TTC for 12months / x3 losses. I was referred via GP and as soon as they identified I met the criteria they sent the referral to gynae and then I awaited my appts with gynae. The GP did start some initial bloods at time of referral so that gynae had results at my first appt, but then gynae wanted to do additional ones too which was very good.

Wishing you all the luck xxxxx

Firevie · 06/01/2021 18:03

Thanks so much @SophW194 and @HappyVibes
Not sure what got me today. I think it’s because OH started researching online what the tests/options are. And I think that has made me sad. Didn’t realise for NHS it has to be 12months/3 losses that’s horrible. Did you ever look into IVF? And what’s the CQ10 and baby aspirin about? Can someone enloghten me? Thanks x

HappyVibes · 06/01/2021 18:10

@Firevie it is rubbish that there’s a criteria that is only reached after much emotional pressure.

We hadn’t formally considered IVF, but we absolutely were open to the possibility of progressing to it in March/April time. This would be our next step through gynae if the current protocol hadn’t worked.

COQ10 - improves egg quality.
Aspirin - to thin blood to prevent clots & help increase blood flow to the uterus/womb.

Is there anything specific you’re worried about lovely and wanting testing for? Or is it just in general wanting to try progress things?

Xxxxx

Firevie · 06/01/2021 18:24

@HappyVibes thank you. Tbh I am not worried or I wasn’t anyway. My mind wasn’t even going to tests/IVF. But what has rocked me today is that my husband is looking at it because he is thinking it’s our 5th cycle since the MMC in July though not sure you can really count the first cycle after MMC as we didn’t really properly try then
When do you take baby aspirin and coq10 and how many? Xxx

CLSM · 06/01/2021 18:25

@SophW194 thank you so much I have a couple of digital ones that I was saving for if I get a positive on cheaper ones but think they are more sensitive so might try one

HappyVibes · 06/01/2021 18:31

@Firevie I’m not too sure re COQ10 lovely as I haven’t tried them myself as yet. In regards to aspirin it seems to vary as some people are directed to take it pre pregnancy to help with flow for implantation, but my gynae said to take it from BFP. Same in regards to dosage for aspirin - some are advised 75mg, but my gynae said 150mg (and my testing didn’t indicate any blood clotting).

The criteria for 12months would start from when you actively started TTC I think, not from MMC...although I’m not 100%. With my losses I was asked why I wanted the referral as I clearly can conceive, but I argued that I wanted it because yes I can, but none at that point had been viable and successful and had the outcome we hoped of a baby in our arms.

Xxxx

M4v3r1ck · 06/01/2021 18:46

@PumpkinEverything that's so frustrating, but those lines are definitely getting fainter! As @Mustkeepgoing2 says, it's really awful that we're wanting a BFN and for AF to arrive after wishing the opposite! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I would definitely phone EPU in a couple of days, even just for reassurance! 😘

@CookieMonster3001 sorry for your loss, but welcome to this lovely group! 😘

@CLSM urgh our bodies really do like to keep us on edge! As @Firevie says, you're not out until AF here!

@Firevie sending you much love! As others have said, I feel the grief/low mood/anxiety/negative thoughts just come out of nowhere! It's reassuring to know this is normal and none of us are alone in this! I just try to breathe through the feelings and let them have their moment! 😘😘😘

Not sure re: CoQ10! I've just been on folic acid. Is it in a supplement with other stuff or on its own?

Hope everyone has a relaxing evening ahead of them! 😘😘😘

Firevie · 06/01/2021 18:54

@HappyVibes thank you lovely. I think I’ll leave the aspirin unless directed to take. Tbf we weren’t actively trying when we conceived so in reality I guess we could say we have been actively trying since September only.
@M4v3r1ck I think coq10 is a supplement on its own. Think I’ve seen it in Holland barrett...I might get it on the weekend to supplement with my folic acid which I take every day xx

RichmondLady1981 · 06/01/2021 19:19

@Firevie thanks for asking! I’m ok! 7DPo due on Tuesday. So sorry to hear you’re down. I had my mmc and surgery around the same time as you abs know it’s hard. Xmas was especially hard as it was my due date.

I went to a private clinic and got every single possible fertility labs blood test done. It’s an education but soooo worth it. I’ve learnt so much about my body and fertility. We have two more natural cycles and then ready to go full steam ahead with IVF end of Feb if nothings happened- we are doing short protocol no not loads of drugs. This month I haven’t properly used apps or OPKs. I’ve kind of just got excited about the IVF process and feels nice to be free of entering data about temps and peeing on sticks. 😂 Tests are a bit pricey and some (like the sperm DNA fragmentation test) can take three weeks to come back.

Co-Q10 is a supplement you take which gives more every to the mitochondria (powerhouse ) of your eggs and works for sperm too. The sooner you take it the better. 300-500 per day on average. It improves egg quality. Egg quality one of the most common reasons for MC.

susiebluebell · 06/01/2021 19:20

Hi @Firevie good to see you again. I've felt so low for most of the day as well. I'm right at the end of my tww - testing on Fri - but out of nowhere I just feel inadequate, like I'll never get pregnant again, like it's my fault I'm not getting pregnant etc. And then the mood goes again and I feel optimistic!

I too take folic acid every day, and evening primrose oil up to ovulation. CoQ10 has a lot of good things said about it, but needs a bit more research and knowledge - I don't think it's for everyone?

@CookieMonster3001 Welcome! Sending you positive vibes xx

susiebluebell · 06/01/2021 19:21

See, @RichmondLady1981 knows what she's talking about! 👆🏻 😊

CLSM · 06/01/2021 19:21

Digital test was negative 😔

elsimo · 06/01/2021 19:45

I'm taking pregnacare, folic acid 5mg and coq10 (just started this again).

This is my first month using premom opk tests. I've take an few photos of same test to make sure its right haha.

So does this mean I am ovulating now??
