Sorry I’m a little bit behind on this thread but wanted to say congrats to @SophW194. Brilliant news and a great way to start 2021.

I’ve just done my pg test three weeks after MMC. It’s negative.

I’m happy and sad in equal doses. Trying to stay positive as one step closer to being able to TTC once again. Just waiting on AF to show up now!

SophW194 · 03/01/2021 10:39

Thank you everyone ☺️ I’m really praying this one is ok ! Trying not to panic too much as like people have said, it won’t help the situation !

How did you get on today @Hanbanxx, did you try the test or wait ?

Good luck to everyone testing in the next few days I’m keeping my fingers crossed for everyone 🤞🏻🙏🏻💫 xx

Mumof1ttc · 03/01/2021 10:58

@SophW194 I tested yesterday and today and both were negative. Today I am 10DPO so I know I could still be a bit too early but I really don't think this is my month. I only used the really cheap strip tests and not the 6 day early pregnancy test because I don't want to waste it... I should probably wait now xx

susiebluebell · 03/01/2021 12:04

Well let me join you on the testing too early bandwagon 🙄 I did a very stupid thing and tested my fmu today - it was negative at 8dpo which serves me right. And sooo stupid to do it when I've been feeling fragile.

@HappyVibes Thank you so much for sharing your experience... Reassuring to read that when you met baby, it didn't make you think of your own journey at all. I know I will love my in-laws' newborn... I'm just worried that I will break down, or say something rude to the mother, or want to hand her back really quickly because it's too painful. Just worried about showing myself up basically.

If it's possible to arrange it, I might try and meet mum and baby in a smaller situation, not with everybody watching. That might help me relax and think about THEM which is of course what it's all about 💕

Hanbanxx · 03/01/2021 14:33

@susiebluebell it's so hard not to isn't it.... I'm so annoyed at myself for doing it but I'm 10DPO. I just don't feel that this is my month. I don't feel any period/pregnancy symptoms and feel worried that even my period won't come this week! I'm just so ready for my body to go back to normal xx

NatJ24 · 03/01/2021 15:10

Hi everyone! I've been reading this thread for a few days but waiting to join in.
I had a MMC in December at 8w6.
Its been just over 2 weeks now so I'm just at the stage of waiting for my first AF and then we want to TTC again.
I need to take a PT in a few days and make sure it says negative. I think I'll feel better once thats done and I know I can just start looking forward.
Everyone seems so lovely and supportive on this thread. I havent got used to names yet but congratulations to the ones with BFP's 💗

MrsF111 · 03/01/2021 15:20

Hi all, I had a MMC earlier in the year- in July. Took a long time for my body to get back to normal and I am now on cycle 3 of TTC. Finding it a bit rough as it seems everyone on the world either announced pregnancy’s at Christmas or had photos of their newborns first Christmas Sad my due date is coming up in a couple of weeks too so feeling a little sorry for myself. Hopefully this is my month Star

Mustkeepgoing2 · 03/01/2021 16:36

Hi Ladies
I just want to check my messages are coming through. I have sent a couple over the weeks/months of the last thread and current asking questions/responding but they are all going unanswered and I wonder if they are not actually being posted or I am not tagging people properly.
I am relatively new to all this (November) so want to check I am posting correctly.
Xx

HappyVibes · 03/01/2021 17:26

Good evening @Mustkeepgoing2 I can see your post just now lovely. Sorry you’ve not had any responses...please repost them & hopefully they’ll now be answered for you ☺️I think a lot of us only check in on here intermittently, so likely why some do get missed sorry xxx

susiebluebell · 03/01/2021 18:25

Hi @NatJ24 and welcome! Really sorry to read about your loss. It's a rough old ride sometimes but with lots of joys too. Have you been TTC long? Xx

@MrsF111 Hello! Sorry for your loss 💕 As the others have recently been telling me, it's OK to feel sorry for yourself in those tough moments. I hate all the milestones and dates - really not looking forward to my original due date in April! 🤮

Also 100% on the Christmas announcements. I love to see them, but they can send you into a bit of a dark place if you're feeling fragile. Hugs to you xx

susiebluebell · 03/01/2021 18:27

@Mustkeepgoing2 I'm not sure I've seen any specific question posts that you've made - but stuff can get lost in the mix if loads of people are posting at once. Just ask again, don't be shy! 😄 Xx

NatJ24 · 03/01/2021 18:38

@MrsF111 sorry for your loss. I know what you mean that Christmas seems to bring out alot of pregnancy announcements and it can be tough to see. Hopefully this new year bring some good news for us all.

@susiebluebell thank you, it is hard to go through but you just have to keep on looking forward and be as positive as you can don't you. We weren't try for long at all, about 3 cycles so felt really lucky but then it wasn't meant to be. I think once I've had a first cycle we will start TTC again, we have spoken about it and both feel thats what we want to do. I have read the thread but can't remember everyones individual stories, what has your journey been if you don't mind saying it again xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 03/01/2021 19:37

I think @Mustkeepgoing2 was asking about low AMH levels and if anyone is thinking of pursuing IVF? Not on my radar but I'm sure someone else can help!

My best friend told me today she is pregnant. She found out between my scan and surgery. I'm glad she told me. Feeling happy for her and sad for me

Mustkeepgoing2 · 03/01/2021 20:43

Thanks all pleased they are getting through. I am not particularly tech savvy.

A couple of queries have been and gone. I had a HyCoSy last month which I was really nervous about so was asking about that. It was actually completely fine and not painful at all. Although quite ungracious lying there with my legs in the air in a room full of people. Fabulous 🙄

I was asking about AMH and also exploring IVF.

Today I have also started CoQ10 as recommended by my fertility specialist as it improves egg quality and also have ordered ‘it starts with the Egg’ because I am quite interested in the science behind it all. Looking forward to reading it.

Xxx

HappyVibes · 03/01/2021 20:50

@Mustkeepgoing2
Ah I do remember seeing your question now about AMH lovely - I didn’t reply as I am not in the know re that sorry.

Re: IVF, it’s not something we’ve necessarily personally spoken about but our gynae said that if we don’t conceive in the next 3months then that would be the next step for us. I did question how that would help us, as we can conceive, it is more my body carrying that we need the help with (4 losses). But I guess that with IVF they do tests on the blastocysts etc to check for quality etc which may be the additional oversight we need. We shall see. Sorry for the ramble.

In a nutshell, it’s not something we’ve overly researched into. But we are certainly open to it and know that we find it reassuring that we have a next step. And I’d rather have that door opened to us sooner rather than later too if it’s needed xxxxxx

Mustkeepgoing2 · 03/01/2021 21:27

@HappyVibes, thank you lovely.

I literally could have written your response. That is exactly where we are/stand with IVF too. I guess it gets to a point after to 6 months to a year where that is the natural progression.

I know I can also conceive and have always managed it relatively quickly but have had a series of unfortunate unrelated events (Ectopic, Chemical and MMC). All within the space of 8 months so it is happening it’s just not sticking.

I personally feel a little bit like I have a little more enthusiasm left in me TTC naturally but it is also beginning to take its toll too so I am beginning to feel impatient and deflated so I do want to look into IVF too. We are lucky in the sense we have the money to pay for it but equally the dream is to conceive naturally like with my first DC but equally I do also sway towards the reassurance of having embryos frozen for the future if a few years down the line we find ourselves struggling to conceive again.

Wouldn’t it be lovely to just be able to look into the future and just know it is all going to be okay in the end.

Sorry I am also rambling xxx

HappyVibes · 03/01/2021 21:36

@Mustkeepgoing2 oh that’s quite uncanny as I too now fully resonate with your response. I feel like we have since December, had a fresh start, lots of signs & I have lots of optimism. But naturally, it is also becoming quite deflating and definitely taking the joy out of the journey. So I feel like 3months would be a very good point in time for us to feel like we had given it nearing 18months of natural attempts.

We have been given prescribed folic acid 5mg. I also have been given progesterone and aspirin to take as soon as we get our next BFP, so that’s giving us much hope.

Where are you at in your cycle?

I’m currently 8DPO, with AF due in 6-7days.

Xxxx

PumpkinEverything · 03/01/2021 22:12

Sorry you’re feeling sad @TheDaydreamBelievers I think I’d be the exact same if my best friend told me that. I think one good thing is she seems to have been good to hold off for a few weeks until you had ‘recovered’ a bit before sharing the information. Hopefully it won’t be much longer for you to get your BFP again. Fingers crossed for the negative tomorrow 🤞🏻 I’m testing again then too, it’ll be almost 4 weeks (less a day) then so I reaaaaally hope it is

TheDaydreamBelievers · 03/01/2021 22:15

Same here @PumpkinEverything! 5 weeks out from surgery so please let it be a BFN! Crossing my fingers for you too

bez91 · 04/01/2021 06:54

Fingers crossed for you both today @TheDaydreamBelievers and @PumpkinEverything 🤞🏼

HappyVibes · 04/01/2021 09:10

Morning ladies, I tested super early this morning (I vowed I wouldn’t but I knew I would ha). Please help me with your true thoughts on attached pic as I need to start taking meds from BFP, so I am mindful that I may be overthinking this xxxx
