Anyone else on the TWW and hoping for a Christmas miracle

Hi everyone,

This is our first cycle TTC, and whilst I promised myself I would stay calm and collected, truthfully I am the total opposite. I can't switch off from thinking about it.

It's taken my OH a while to come to terms with trying to start a family. Whilst we have been together since we were 15 (now 27) he always wanted to earn more, to have a bigger house etc but he's come to finally realise that it's never the right time and we just have to go for it. I was so so pleased he was finally ready but promised we would keep it relaxed and calm. If it happens, it happens,

But working from home and not having anything else to do, I just can't switch off from my mind wondering 🙈 wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat who just wants to chat really?

I'm due AF on Christmas Day so it would be such a Christmas miracle if she doesn't come.

@Mariex1989 I've just re-read my post to you from the other day and I feel like I've come across as quite unsympathetic and for that I apologise. Obviously, I really hope it's not a CP but a lovely, juicy BFP instead. Me saying hopefully AF will come soon was not meant to be a cold and dismissive statement. A CP is still an emotional experience and my thoughts regarding AF coming soon would mean you'd no longer be in limbo so to speak. Hoping you'll get some light shed at the doctors appointment. Xx

Yeah I’m not bad thanks. Still no sign of AF 🙈 I’m tempted to pick up a cheapie test when I do the food shop today, then again I don’t want to spend anymore money on bloody BFN’s. Yeah will be tomorrow when I ring them.

I know what you mean about spending money on BFN's. Shame they don't come under the January Sale umbrella too! Lol! Keep us posted on if you do decide to buy an el-cheapo one. 😎

Another pregnancy announcement yesterday. That's 2 babies due in August..so far.

Omg it’s never ending isn’t it! I’m sure there will be plenty tonight and tomorrow too.

I had a phone appointment yesterday and not really any closer to knowing what’s going on. She said going off my last cycle I’d only be 3 days late and some people it won’t show positive until a week after so just to keep testing and if nothing in a couple weeks we’ll have another appointment.

I did my cheapie test yesterday but it was invalid, no lines at all not even control line (serves me right for using it really 😂).

So I’m now on CD47 and no AF and no BFP. Going to give it a few days and maybe test again. To be honest I’m not actually bothered about POAS surprisingly, lost hope in this month!

How’re you? Any NYE plans? Xx

Sorry it was Tuesday I had my appointment, not yesterday. Losing track of what day it is 🙈

Been having a few days with very faint positives all within the time frame of each test I don't know how long my cycles are because of them being irregular. I have brought a pick of clear blue normal and digital and also some other brand just in case. Can anyone else see a faint line?
I don't really like easy @ home pregnancy tests because I think they give so many faint positives and not dark lines.

@Alist12 I see a line 😊 how many dpo are you? Tentative congratulations x

@ELBlack I'm not really sure but what I do know is I got a start of a positive opk on the 20th so I would say I would of ovulated on the 21st/22nd ish but my cycles are so irregular so I'm just going with the flow. I'm sure if I get a true positive the midwife will be able to tell me how many weeks I am

@ELBlack I'm going to test tomorrow and if there's no lines then I'm just going to wait it out to see if AF arrives if it doesn't then I will go get some bloods done or take another test. If it comes up with lines and says pregnant on the digital then I will book an appointment with my GP

@Alist12 good luck! Definitely see the lines, so really hoping they progress for you!

@ELBlack it would help if I knew when I actually ovulated or how long till AF arrives. I have a feeling that the clear blue digital won't show up pregnant yet as I've counted from the 22nd and it would make me 12dpo tomorrow so I don't know if it's still early or not.
I have 6 pregnancy tests to take in the morning as I'm not bothering to take anymore after tomorrow haha.

I couldn't help but chuckle at your comment about the invalid result on the el-cheapo PT! It's luck if the draw really with them!

@Foundmyfeet no problem! Hahaha sounds like you had a great nye! Yeah mine wasn’t too bad thank you. A few bottles of Prosecco went down too easily and I barely made it past midnight 😂.
The dreaded new year regime! I went to the gym yesterday and I’m already bored of it. I wish I was one of these people who loves exercise 🙈

Been having mild cramps this morning and thought af had arrived but it was just creamy cm ( tmi ) rang 111 as the pains were getting a bit stronger after a while it turned to a pulling/tingly feeling.
A nurse from the early pregnancy unit rang me back and said I was indeed pregnant and i have now got a scan a on Tuesday to see if everything is okay because of the cramps. I asked about the lines being faint and she said it could be because of the hormone being too high

@Mariex1989 will do. I do remember when I was pregnant some 8 years ago and I kept getting period pains but it turned out I was pregnant so I do get my hopes up a little but I’m pretty sure it’s AF this time.

Me and my fiancé did the deed and he confirmed that I felt a lot softer inside which is apparently a good sign for early pregnancy. The nurse has put me down at 4/5 weeks

@Tillybabs I thought I was out this month because of the cramps but now I know it's because of pregnancy. Wishing you all baby dust✨
