Anyone else on the TWW and hoping for a Christmas miracle

Hi everyone,

This is our first cycle TTC, and whilst I promised myself I would stay calm and collected, truthfully I am the total opposite. I can't switch off from thinking about it.

It's taken my OH a while to come to terms with trying to start a family. Whilst we have been together since we were 15 (now 27) he always wanted to earn more, to have a bigger house etc but he's come to finally realise that it's never the right time and we just have to go for it. I was so so pleased he was finally ready but promised we would keep it relaxed and calm. If it happens, it happens,

But working from home and not having anything else to do, I just can't switch off from my mind wondering 🙈 wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat who just wants to chat really?

I'm due AF on Christmas Day so it would be such a Christmas miracle if she doesn't come.

@dano99 you're not alone 💛 I had the exact same this morning too and felt such strong symptoms. I'm still hopeful as it is still early. I have everything crossed for you!

When is AF due?

@Mariex1989 you'll be fine! Just prep, prep, prep on Christmas Eve and it will all go swimmingly on Christmas Day. Oh and it's VERY important to drink snowball cocktails while you're prepping! It's the law! Lol!

@Giraffle ah sorry you got a BFN. But it's not over this month until AF shows her face. Hopefully she won't and you'll end up with a BFP instead.

@dano99 I think we all empathise with you here hun. Happened to me only last month. I was 4 days late and was almost convinced it's be a BFP, but like you, it was the whitest BFN I'd ever seen. Try not to feel too disheartened.

Thank you lovely ❤️ AF due Christmas Day so still time but something about this BFN hit me differently this month. I think it was my glimmer of hope in the shit show of year 2020 has been was hoping to end it on a high! Xx

Morning ladies! How is everyone today? Today is my baking day and got lots to do! Looking forward to getting it all ready for tomorrow and Christmas Day. My DH is Eastern European so we have 2 full days of eating!

Ugh I'm now dreading the next few days. Opened Instagram last night to a pregnancy announcement and today another one plus an engagement. And I know there's going to be more and more coming 😩 cried last night when I saw it. Feel like it'll never be me 🥺

AF still hasn’t shown her face and the latest I’ve ever come on would be tomorrow. God knows what my body is playing at this month.

Couldn't hold out any longer bought a test today and bfn. AF on her way to ruin Christmas I can feel it. Gutted ☹️

Hi ladies. I'm 12dpo and had a bfp this morning (I wish I could be over the moon but after a late loss at 22 weeks followed by a chemical in October I'm just so afraid).
On wiping earlier saw a bit of very slightly pink/brown stained discharge.
Wish this wasn't ruining my Christmas but just so scared. Any hope? :(

AF still a no show! Normally I start on either Cycle day 28 or cycle day 33 never in between. Still got another BFN this morning so think AF Is waiting for day 33 which will be on 29th. I’m 14 DPO so unlikely to be pregnant this month 🙁 any BFPs today for the ones who were waiting? 😃 hope everyone had a good Christmas

I've had 3 mornings of positive frers but they aren't getting darker :(
This happened with my last pregnancy in October too. AF due today I'm 14dpo and anytime I've been able to progress before the first line has shown up straight away right pink after doing the test.
These are my tests. I know it's going to end again :( my heart is just broken so much baby news and grieving my little baby boy I lost in the summer.

Well, Santa didn't bring me a BFP. Actually, Santa didn't bring me much at all!

Despite my static smiley face and following the SMEP, there is no little bean this month. Becoming a little concerned that the quality of my eggs are shite now.
Going downstairs to clean up the aftermath of Christmas and to put away the presents I didn't get! Lol! I did get a few nice bits from friends, but DH didn't make it to the shops in time before tier 4!

Did Santa bring any BFP's for anyone?!

@Alicia870 I'm sorry that you lost your baby boy so late on in your pregnancy. I can only imagine how devastating that was. So I understand your worries about falling pregnant again particularly after the chemical pregnancy in October. I'm praying that your gut feeling is wrong and that this little bean ends up as a sullen, stroppy teenager banging doors and stomping around the house 15 years from now. Xx

Oh, how could I forget?!? Another pregnancy announcement was made yesterday...obviously not by me!

Yeah, the b*h got me. I could feel it yesterday evening; horrible stabbing pains in my tummy. Also I was boiling hot and kept opening the back door for some cool air. DH thought I was nuts as he was freezing.
Well, at least she had the courtesy to allow me to enjoy Christmas Day before she arrived.

@Foundmyfeet very kind of her to wait until the end of Christmas Day. Hopefully it’s not too bad and can still enjoy Boxing Day.

Was due last Friday, but they’re kinda all over the place within a week so latest it would have been was Christmas Eve (going off the past). I took a test Christmas Eve just in case and was BFN.
I’m thinking maybe my faint lines could have been an early chemical? I was looking it up and said it could make your AF late if it was cp?

@Mariex1989 - I've just spent most of the day in bed stuffing myself with chocolate holding a hot water bottle on my belly. Will start planning my healthy living again tomorrow ready to begin in the new year.

Yes it could possibly be a CP seeing as you had a BFN on Christmas Eve. Hopefully AF will arrive soon so you can start again on the next cycle. Xx

Same! I was going to start my healthy eating today but we’ve still got soooo much food and chocolates left I don’t think I’ll be able to.

Yep just want AF to come now. On cd 42 today and no sign 😭. I’m going to book an appointment at the docs soon to try find out what the heck’s going on

@Mariex1989 so sorry to hear about potential CP. Definitely get a Dr's appointment I think.

I'm on CD7 now, and commencing the baby dancing plan until AF is due! 😂 Hopefully with a bit less pressure on tracking etc it could be our month 🤞

@Mariex1989 actually yes it was a great day just stuffing my face while laying in bed! I was the ultimate slob! Lol! How are you doing today? Assuming you have to wait until tomorrow to book a doctors appointment?

@ELBlack yes at least she allowed me to have Christmas Day! Which also means it'll be the first time in as many years that I will start the new year without AF...whoop whoop!! Enjoy all the BD-ing! Fingers crossed and baby dust to you! Hoping you get your BFP next month. Is this your first TTC?

It was a year ago yesterday that I had my D&C after my MMC the month earlier. I can't believe how time has flown. I couldn't help but think that I should've been holding a 6 month old baby in my arms.
Also, had my MC in May not happened, I'd have been due to give birth any day now.

...but 3rd time lucky, eh?! 🍀

How is everyone else doing? Any good news to share?

@Foundmyfeet thank you very much unfortunately started bleeding this morning. I knew it was coming. It's my second early loss and third overall. Really hope everyone else is ok - it's hard at this time of year especially but sending luck and love to u all ❤️

@Alicia870 I'm so sorry to hear that. It's so heartbreaking. As this is your third loss, speak with your GP about being referred to the gynaecology team. They should investigate now to see if there is something that can help you sustain a pregnancy.
