Anyone else on the TWW and hoping for a Christmas miracle

Hi everyone,

This is our first cycle TTC, and whilst I promised myself I would stay calm and collected, truthfully I am the total opposite. I can't switch off from thinking about it.

It's taken my OH a while to come to terms with trying to start a family. Whilst we have been together since we were 15 (now 27) he always wanted to earn more, to have a bigger house etc but he's come to finally realise that it's never the right time and we just have to go for it. I was so so pleased he was finally ready but promised we would keep it relaxed and calm. If it happens, it happens,

But working from home and not having anything else to do, I just can't switch off from my mind wondering 🙈 wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat who just wants to chat really?

I'm due AF on Christmas Day so it would be such a Christmas miracle if she doesn't come.

@ELBlack I think it’s just normal ones? I’ve no idea 😂.

I don’t think I’ll be needing the second anyway as I keep thinking I’m about to come on anyyyy minute x

Morning ladies! Ultrasound went perfectly, baby bean measuring exactly as it should be, dated exactly as I thought and very strong heartbeat of 162bpm. Me and my husband both burst into tears 😂😍 xx

@Mariex1989 thanks so much! We are having pancakes to celebrate! Such a weight lifted. EDD is still 27th September but it may change at my 12 week scan next month xx

Nah I’ve refrained from testing today. I was telling myself “get your fmu out the way so you can’t be tempted” 🙈. I’m going to do a food shop shortly so I need to stay clear of the PT aisle 😂

@Mariex1989 yeah just a touch! Slowly moving around the house this morning! Lol! Yes steer clear of the PT aisle..for now anyway! Load up that trolley from the booze aisle!

@ELBlack awwww I'm so made up for you! I can only imagine how relieved and excited you feel. Did you get pics?

We had a lovely evening. DH made a delicious meal and we had a lot of quality time without teenage girl hormones flying around the house!

@Foundmyfeet haha awww! Get some good food and perhaps hair of the dog? Is the DD staying out or do you have to deal with the hangover plus teenager?

I was strong and didn’t go down the PR aisle! Think I’m more stressed about it than I thought, it’s worn me out I can barely keep my eyes open. Just need to either come on or get a clear pos 😩 x

@ELBlack eeeeeek loooooooook!!! 😍😍 it’s mad how the little bean will soon be an established baby isn’t it, crazy! Have you told your best friends then?

I told a couple of my close friends last night what’s happening. They could both see it and are more leaning towards positive than negative but I just don’t think so deep down. One said wait a week and test; I was like are you mad I could never wait a full week 😂😂 x

@Mariex1989 it's actually crazy. Considering when I was in the epu 2 weeks ago I just saw the gestational sac and tiny tiny yolk sac. No wonder I've felt rough 😂

We have a galentines day call at 5 before date night so I'm going to tell them then 😄

Haha awww does your friend who suggested a week have kids? Because I feel like before I'd been through the TWW wait I'd have said the same Hahaha! I say do one Monday 😉 x

Yeah they both have babies. The one that said do it ASAP got pregnant super quickly with no issues. The one that said wait a week had to go through IVF so I think she’s just being cautious for me not to get my hopes up x

@Mariex1989 no they don't, but they knew we were trying and were so excited when I told them last year.

Aww that makes sense! I definitely feel like if AF isn't here in a week (if you can wait that long) you'd get an accurate result x

@ELBlack eee they’ll be ridiculously excited now when you tell them then. When is your 12 week scan?

I’m in two minds about doing it on Monday (if I haven’t come on). I’m technically late now so really I’m not crazy for testing, but I just don’t want to waste it 😂. I’m such an indecisive but also impatient person, not a good combination 🙈 x

@ELBlack Look at that precious scan picture! And the heartbeats also! I bet you guys can't stop looking it at. It's all so exciting!

@Mariex1989 - I would do a digi tomorrow morning if AF hasn't arrived. That would make you between 4 and 6 days late, right?

@Foundmyfeet yeah should have come on anywhere between 9th - 12th. I’m not feeling positive about it being a BFP, reckon I’m just having a shit cycle again x

Told OH as I came out of the shower for him to say “woah have your boobs grown!” - so I let it slip. He said he was going to get a test, came back with Asda one again 🙈 anyway I took it and BFN 👎🏻

@Mariex1989 12 week scan is 17th March.
Omg I'm so sorry you got a BFN. I'm honestly amazed because your other lines looked so dark. Was it stark white?

AF is due this Friday. My tummy is already a little bloated and minor cramps. Oh well. Try again next cycle.

@Foundmyfeet no, but she asked us if we wanted to record it ourselves so my husband videoed it when she was playing the heartbeat 😍

Aw no!! Hopefully it's not AF though, but if it is, at least your DH won't be away next month so might make it easier to dtd etc x

@Foundmyfeet I redid an Asda one today and was bfn again so that’s that. Was on a bit of a downer last night but it is what it is and just want AF to come and go now. Think I’m going to make a docs appointment as these cycles have gone ridiculous!

Aw hopefully it’s not AF! Yes that’s great that he’s staying put and can BD your way through the cycle 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻.

@ELBlack I just left it the time frame, had a quick look and threw it away in the wheely bin. I didn’t want to scrutinise over “is there isn’t there”.

This next cycle is going to be my last before I stop for the wedding I think. So I’m going to order some OPK’s and give it a good go. Never used them before, any recommendation? X
