Anyone else on the TWW and hoping for a Christmas miracle

Hi everyone,

This is our first cycle TTC, and whilst I promised myself I would stay calm and collected, truthfully I am the total opposite. I can't switch off from thinking about it.

It's taken my OH a while to come to terms with trying to start a family. Whilst we have been together since we were 15 (now 27) he always wanted to earn more, to have a bigger house etc but he's come to finally realise that it's never the right time and we just have to go for it. I was so so pleased he was finally ready but promised we would keep it relaxed and calm. If it happens, it happens,

But working from home and not having anything else to do, I just can't switch off from my mind wondering 🙈 wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat who just wants to chat really?

I'm due AF on Christmas Day so it would be such a Christmas miracle if she doesn't come.

@ELBlack hopefully the next 2 weeks will fly by for you! Bet you’re so excited ☺️.

I guess I’m in my tww now and feel absolutely nothing 😂😂. If I have a “normal” cycle then I should be due on around 12th/13th. Not hopeful this month as I’ve been laid back about it so let’s see. No excessive testing famous last words 😂

@Mariex1989 yes, I can't wait. I feel like it will go really quickly.

Being laid back can be a really good thing. I was honestly convinced I wouldn't have got pregnant the cycle I did because I worked out we only had sex once during my fertile window, so I really wouldn't worry about it! And either way, if you're feeling more relaxed at least you won't have a torturous tww! X

@ELBlack definitely! I’ve been really sick and nauseous yesterday and today so I’ve taken today off work. Netflix binge and sofa day for me!
I remember you saying that actually. Time will tell! Glad I’m not trying to symptom spot and google every little thing this month to be disappointed. In the mentality of if it happens it happen, if it doesn’t it doesn’t! x

Hey ladies, sorry I've been awol for a few days. A dear friend of mine has been diagnosed with cancer so I've been doing some hand holding and lots of research. Plus it was quarter end last week (job in finance) so was crazy busy.

How's everything going @ELBlack? Not long now before the scan date! You must be so excited. And I smashed out Bridgerton in about 3 days! It's was f*ing fab!

@Mariex1989 - oooh...symptoms!! Fingers crossed!! What did you binge watch on Netflix?

I've been told to watch Lupin next. Supposed to be very good but it's dubbed so if the voice and lips aren't in sync then I will spend the whole film just watching the lips and not taking in what's going on!

I'm out of the running this month already ladies. DH is working away this week and it's my ovulation week.

@Foundmyfeet oh my god I’m so sorry that’s awful 😞 hope your friend is doing well and fingers crossed they caught it early 🤞🏻🤞🏻. That’s so sad. Cancer is the fucking devil. I’ve had too people close to me go through it, my thoughts are with you all.

Nah it won’t be a symptom, it’s be far too early think I’ve just somehow caught some bug (god knows how since I literally don’t go hardly anywhere!)

I started watching how to get away with murder again, forgot how good it is! Although I did log in to work occasionally to check I wasn’t missing much which interrupted slightly 😂.

That sucks about your OH being away as well 😩 is he away long? Maybe get some in before he goes to try cover it

@Mariex1989 hope you feel better soon! The TWW is definitely draining so you're in a good mindset!

I'm fine thanks, I've got to the point where I can't do any running or jumping during exercise without having to hold my boobs because even in my most high impact sports bras the pain is too much 😢😂 didnt feel sick today which is great, just very very hungry! Can't wait for the scan next weekend.

Thank you both for your kind wishes about my friend. She's been in a terrible state today. I've arranged to meet her for a long walk on the weekend so we can get some stuff sorted. Looks like surgery will take place at the end of Feb and she has to self-isolate after the op which makes it almost impossible to take care of her in a hands on way. However, I'm going to get some PPE or an astronaut/divers suit if I have to if she needs me to help her get to the bathroom etc. There's always ways around things!

DH went away yesterday and will be back Friday. OV is due on Thursday FFS!! Unless I OV late this month. Oh well. Not counting my chickens. I did think about taking a surprise trip to the hotel where he is staying on Thursday night but there's no one to look after DD..even from a distance!

@Mariex1989 - you never know! Your cycle has been all over the show recently... :) But feel better soon...or don't if you're pregnant! Lol! How to get away with Murder...is that with Christina Applegate?

@ELBlack - I thought the same about a Christmas baby! Lol! Ah yes, the sore boobs. They were a constant source of discomfort throughout my pregnancy. My nipples used to hurt like nothing I'd ever known! I was travelling on the M4 when I was around 6 months pregnant and had to pull into a service station so I could put the hand dryer on my boobs!! God must've been with me that day because the toilets were empty so I whipped them out and gave them a good rub under the dryer! Lol!

@Foundmyfeet it’s with Viola Davies, it’s a good watch. I started it years ago but did t realise there were more seasons, there’s like 5 now. Feeling better today thank god, but haven’t been outside since the weekend 🙈 so think I’m going to have to go on a lunchtime walk.

Bless you, so frustrating when all you want to do is meet and comfort your friend 😞 like you say maybe if you just get equipped with a load of PPE and try make something work 🤞🏻

@Foundmyfeet that sounds horrendous about your boobs 😩 luckily mine feel more bruised rather than sore. But they're hell tbh.

I'm okay thanks, I'm exhausted, beyond bloated to the point where I've got really bad water retention and everything about me looks bigger, not just my stomach 😂 my nausea is hitting pretty hard but I'm not being sick nor do I feel like I will be, oh and I'm boiling as soon as I go to bed even though I sleep with all windows open I'm waking up sweating 😂 I'm thirsty all the time, my skin is dull, my eyes are black. Where's this pregnancy glow everyone speaks of? 😂😂 How are you?

@ELBlack that made me giggle 😂 my friend said the same as she has bad break outs and felt awful so was like “I thought I was meant to glow” 😂😂. Gotta remember the hideous symptoms are a good thing!!!

I’m not feeling bad, this bug has gone thank god! I said I wouldn’t symptom spot (this probs isn’t even a symptom) but the other night my nipples felt super tingly/sore/bumpy/dry which I’ve never ever experienced, so thought probably just something or nothing but a few days later and it’s still there :/ very odd but trying not to think too much into it!

@ELBlack - Lol! Only 34 weeks to go love! Lol! I glowed for about 6 weeks between weeks 13 and 19. That was it! I even got chatted up by some random guy because I was glowing so much. Then it disappeared ☹️ And so did all the chat up lines!

@Mariex1989 unfortunately for me I always have sore itchy boobs as a normal PMS symptom. I never used to though. I knew I was pregnant with DD before I took a test because my boobs were so tender. It was always an indicator for me. Might be for you?!

@Foundmyfeet I always always always get sore boobs for pms too, but now they feel more chafed than sore and on my nipples not breasts (TMI 😂). I’m 99.9% sure it’s not a symptom just very odd. Maybe I should just get some aveeno on them 😂.

How’re you feeling? Did you surprise your OH in his hotel?

@Mariex1989 no I didn't get to surprise him. But I think I OV'd on Friday as my CM was in abundance (sorry TMI) so we've been bd-ing all weekend! Tbh, I just missed him so much that I just wanted to be close to him whether it results in a baby or not.

Lol! Yes slap some Aveeno on this nips love! Better yet, your OH can do it for you...I'm sure he'd like that!

Sorry I've been a bit MIA, I was struggling all week with my symptoms making me feel mildly hungover and then yesterday and today I've had loss of symptoms. I've not felt as sick, and my boobs haven't been as sore, but I have been really tired so I'm hoping that everything is still OK.

Yes we've had snow, we live in Sussex so we climbed the Ditchling beacon with our pup and had a lovely walk, and now cooking a roast (I've been utterly starving all day, no amount of food can satisfy my hunger 😂)

@ELBlack try not to worry about your symptoms coming and going, I think it’s only normal isn’t it. Couple of days you’ll probably end up with full on sickness again wishing it was back to none 😂. Roll on your scan so your mind can be put to rest!

I’m due on 11th apparently. Starting to get pms boobs so I think she will actually be on time this month! Only difference is my nipples are killing from this bloody chafing 😩. I have one clear blue test left from last cycle and I’m refusing to waste money on anymore so if she doesn’t come by the weekend I might think about testing x

@ELBlack symptoms come and go all the time. Your body is still adjusting and just like @Mariex1989 said, the nausea will come back and you'll wish it away again.
Roll on next Saturday for your scan! You must be excited!

@Mariex1989 I'm due on the 20th. But I realised earlier that I didn't have my normal ovulation pains so I don't think I ovulated despite the CM.

Thanks ladies @Foundmyfeet @Mariex1989 I know they do, and I keep reminding myself to try and not panic. I'm still a tired bloated mess 😂 roll on the scan for sure!

@Mariex1989 oooh that's a good idea, as tempting as it is, I'd probably wait until day after AF was due too. Hopefully boobs are a sign as they can be so similar to pms signs 🤞

@Foundmyfeet ah well even if you did ovulate later you're probably still in with a chance because sperm can survive up to 5 days 🤞

@ELBlack maybe! I think because I’ve only got one left I don’t want to waste it by testing early.

My friend has just announced her pregnancy today too, and although I’m obviously happy for her it hit quite hard. I was doing so well not being a crazy woman this cycle but I think that’s tipped me over the edge and now I’m back to googling everything 😂.

Well let's see what happens. I normally do get OV pains without fail. In saying that, my lower back was killing me this morning so I'm not sure if that was it? DH went away again this morning. He's back on Thursday. No more plans to work away again in the near future so we can get cracking on with it all!

I heard another pregnancy announcement on Friday. That makes 3 due in August now.

@Foundmyfeet ah could have been with the backache? Eeek perfect, if it’s not this month at least you don’t have the stress of your DH working away ☺️.
How’s your weight loss going btw?

I restored my app’s 🙈 one says AF is due tomorrow and the other says 11th. I’ll go with the latter considering my last ridiculous cycle. But I have been having some “niggling” (only way I can describe it) recently so think she’s on her way. On one hand I’ll be glad if she comes on time but obviously disappointed, even though I know realistically this month is a miss.

What a bloody rollercoaster this all is hey!

Weight loss is going well. Now down 18lbs. Clothes are fitting soooo much better and I feel really good about myself. Been taking long walks too and yesterday I did a yoga class with a new instructor and he almost killed my arms! Lol!

There's not much between tomorrow and the 11th. In one way it would be good to see AF so you can start tracking again. On the other, it would be better if she didn't come and you got a BFP instead!

Been watching How to get away with Murder...so good! I'm also watching Lupin but have to wait for DH to come home as he's watching it with me.

Yeah true! I’m not actually tempted to test today thank god. I’ll wait until Friday I think (try). Works super busy so keeping my temptations away.
