Anyone else on the TWW and hoping for a Christmas miracle

Hi everyone,

This is our first cycle TTC, and whilst I promised myself I would stay calm and collected, truthfully I am the total opposite. I can't switch off from thinking about it.

It's taken my OH a while to come to terms with trying to start a family. Whilst we have been together since we were 15 (now 27) he always wanted to earn more, to have a bigger house etc but he's come to finally realise that it's never the right time and we just have to go for it. I was so so pleased he was finally ready but promised we would keep it relaxed and calm. If it happens, it happens,

But working from home and not having anything else to do, I just can't switch off from my mind wondering 🙈 wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat who just wants to chat really?

I'm due AF on Christmas Day so it would be such a Christmas miracle if she doesn't come.

Hi ladies, freaking out. I think I have line eyes, and worrying its an indent. Checked within 2 minutes, and DH and my BFF can see the lines. Do you see them too? Very, very faint

I can definately see a faint line @ELBlack, how many DPO are you?xx

ELBlack · 13/01/2021 14:23

@hopefully2021 right!! I'm 9dpo, and I was feeling tentatively excited, but something in me said to open the unused frer and check for indents and there is a very faint grey indent on the unused one 😭 my line is pink, but I've now convinced myself it is because of the reflection on the test line. Going to try tomorrow or Friday with FMU

Mariex1989 · 13/01/2021 16:30

@ELBlack can definitely see something!!! Eeeeek exciting! I’m a bit dubious about first response as that’s similar to what mine looked like last month and was just a hideous indent line. But hopefully this turns into a nice strong BFP!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 x

ELBlack · 13/01/2021 16:49

@mariex1989 The more I think about it, the more I'm sure it's a Savage indent line. 😩Only because I keep checking it and it's got fainter and looks so similar to the indent line on the unused one

Mariex1989 · 13/01/2021 17:22

@ELBlack hopefully it isn’t an indent. When are you due on? It’s still early days so plenty time for it to get stronger 😊

ELBlack · 13/01/2021 17:27

@Mariex1989 not until Monday. So even still it's really early to test now. I think I will do a test at the weekend and then of that's negative or questionable, just wait for AF...

Foundmyfeet · 13/01/2021 22:11

@ELBlack OMG!!! I'm getting so excited for you!! Please, please don't be an indent line!!!

ELBlack · 14/01/2021 07:46

Morning ladies!! There's no denying this!! Soooo beyond happy. Really hoping it's a healthy, sticky bean 😍 xx

Foundmyfeet · 14/01/2021 09:09

@ELBlack - YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! I JUST SCREAMED MY HOUSE DOWN FOR YOU!!!! YEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!! I'm so ecstatic for you! Lots and lots of sticky bean dust for you!!! Other than us, have you told anyone else? Whoop whoop!!!!!

ELBlack · 14/01/2021 09:17

Thank you so much @Foundmyfeet I am sooo excited.

I told my DH although I had plans of telling him in our favourite spot on the South downs but I actually fumbled into the bedroom looking for the lamp sobbing 😂😂 I've also told my sister because she has 3 DS's.

I think im naturally anxious, because it's all so new and I've never done this before, but do you know if getting a BFP at 10dpo is more likely to end up in a chemical pregnancy? X

Foundmyfeet · 14/01/2021 10:51

@ELBlack oh bless you! Well that's just as good a way to announce your pregnancy to him! Lol!
I don't know if a BFP at 10dpo is an indicator of a chemical. What I do know is that you are feeling anxious now, understandably, but just relax!! You've got a "beautiful uterus" and therefore there is every chance that all will be perfect!! Try not to spend your pregnancy filled with worry because it will take the joy out of what is a happy and exciting time. It's a pain in the butt having to wait so long for the ultrasound for reassurance so you'll just have to find ways of relaxing. And back away from Dr. Google. This is so exciting!! ❤️❤️

ELBlack · 14/01/2021 12:46

Thanks so much @Foundmyfeet that's such a nice message and reassuring! You're right, I'm sure everything will be fine! Definitely going to stay off Google, we all know how that will end up 😂 x

Mariex1989 · 14/01/2021 14:46

@ELBlack omg that’s amazing news!!! Massive congratulations so happy for you! Eeee so exciting 😊😊😊🎉 xxx

ELBlack · 14/01/2021 15:46

@Mariex1989 thanks so much!! Xxx

Foundmyfeet · 16/01/2021 15:31

Afternoon all! How is everyone doing?

I did a sneaky test today; an el-cheapo from Asda. I'm only 8 or 9 DPO but I've been feeling really off. BFN which I kind of expected as it's still early.

Starting to notice a pattern though. Around the same time every month I get this morning sickness feeling but then AF arrives around a week later. Perhaps it's just another (and new) symptom of PMS...great.

Boobs are so sore (not unusual) and I was breaking a sweat around the supermarket today. Literally was losing patience, feeling irritated and wanted to rip my mask off my face. Also managed to pick a fight with DH this morning over ceiling lights; he said nothing wrong but I lost my sh*t!

So definitely hormonal but is it a BFP or AF?! Place your bets please! Wink

Mariex1989 · 17/01/2021 17:04

@Foundmyfeet eeeep have you tested again yet? Still super early so you never know 😊 keep us updated pleaseeeee. Sending luck your way for when you test x

@ELBlack how’re you feeling? 🤗 x

Foundmyfeet · 17/01/2021 17:49

@Mariex1989 - nope, not yet. I'm due around 21st-23rd so I'll just wait until after then if AF hasn't shown herself. But....I feel the deep rumblings of her impending arrival :( Where are you in your cycle?

Yes @ELBlack - how are you?

ELBlack · 17/01/2021 18:20

Hi @Foundmyfeet @Mariex1989

@Foundmyfeet really hoping they are bfp signs for you, instead of AF signs. Keep us posted, really hoping she doesn't show for you!

I'm well thanks ladies, started having very weird dreams, needing to wee a bit more and quite hungry still. The naps have started also and I have slept for over an hour yesterday afternoon and today, which is not like me at all.

Feeling pleased with my line progression, 13dpo is this morning.

What cycle day are you on @Mariex1989?

Thanks for checking in x

Foundmyfeet · 17/01/2021 18:37

@ELBlack - gorgeous lines!!! That's what we like to see! Have you called your GP yet? X

ELBlack · 17/01/2021 18:56

@Foundmyfeet thank you!! 🤗 Yes, I called last week but where I am you can self refer, so they sent me a link to do so, however you can't do it until 6 weeks+ so I have 2 weeks to wait x

Mariex1989 · 17/01/2021 19:31

@ELBlack amazing lines!!! Bet it’s still surreal for you but enjoy every moment and keep us updated 😊

I’m not sure where I’m at, I haven’t been tracking this month and deleted apps as I was getting far too addicted and stressed by it all. I’ll be cd13. I think my extra long cycle last month will have probably messed up even trying to track via apps anyway so we’ll just see what happens.

@Foundmyfeet hopefully it’s rumblings of a BFP!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 It’s so annoying that the signs are similar to AF 😩

Foundmyfeet · 18/01/2021 15:14

@ELBlack - we have the same self-referral process in my area. I live in North London and when I fell pregnant last April, my local maternity department was relocated to Tottenham Hotspur FC (due to Covid). I was so excited about that because I'm a huge Spurs fan! I had the appointment set for June but I lost the baby in May. The maternity unit have moved back to the hospital now so I missed out! Lol!

@Mariex1989 - I woke up this morning with killer lower back pains so I'm out again this month. This is a typical sign of AF for me. At this rate, I'll be the only one left on the thread and writing messages to myself! Lol!
I don't blame you for throwing the apps out the window, especially because your cycle was a bit up and down last time. Last thing you need is for an app to tell you when AF is supposed to arrive and then she doesn't and then your mind will be all over the place. But then it could mean a lovely BFP!! Sending you lots of baby dust!

ELBlack · 18/01/2021 19:03

@Mariex1989 thank you!! Yes, it definitely still feels surreal. I've never wanted to weeks to go by so fast so I can get to 12 weeks and feel a bit more at ease. Sounds good about your approach this month. I genuinely felt more relaxed this month so as annoying as it is, I think it helps. 🤞 And baby dust for you!

@Foundmyfeet so sorry about your loss last year. That must have been really awful for you ❤️

Shame about the football too 😉

Foundmyfeet · 19/01/2021 09:21

@ELBlack haha! You're not a Gooner are you??!!
I don't know if this is strange to say, but my MMC was by far more traumatic than my MC. I can almost "forget" that I had the MC. I've been thinking about it and I think that I had so much excitement surrounding the pregnancy that ended in MMC that it hit me really hard. So when I fell pregnant again, I was very wary and just had a feeling that it wasn't right. So when I started bleeding, I wasn't at all surprised. I was upset, yes, but also it wasn't as physically painful as the MMC. I've had worse periods than the MC. My body recovered very quickly from the MC. It took a few weeks with the MMC. I hope that doesn't sound bad because both were very sad times for me and DH.
