@Minster2012 boo to having to wait for call back until tomorrow and boo to cramps. As for tampons I gave up, they were never comfortable. I assumed it was my technique. Don't know but they ar ed not for me.

Had a funny stitch like pain when I woke this morning. It lasted a couple of hours but gone now. It seemed too high up to be anything ttc related though. Nearly as high as my belly button but over to the right. Anyone had anything like this? Ov pain is usually down near my hip. God you question everything when ttc.

Though I have to say, my general approach to ttc, pregnancy announcement eft, has changed dramatically since being on this thread!

@Franklydear your DS is a champ. The adult scenes in Love Actually are so so tame, but there is a bit of funny nudity, boobs and bums.

@InkyPaper eeeurghfsg 😤 that's a real cop out from your GP. I get that there are wait lists and protocol blah blah, but a bit of empathy and understanding goes a long way. Yeah cool cool I'll just be over ttc-ing and also ignoring whether my period comes along or not 🙄🙄 what a numpty.

Last official day at work today so I'm running around like a headless chicken trying to get things done. Reckon I'll be working loads whilst off anyway though... Oh and my boss threw me under the bus yesterday and massively undermined me so I've been fuming 😅. Bleh.

@lucyrp I do say bits and bobs too, but bobs is for THINGS, like you know "I was picking up boys and bobs" bats is for doing things. Or to me it is.

I'm now sat procrastinating with myself for about an hour (I just updated my Tesco delivery does that count as productive? and having vague argument with DH as he's booked me to take DS for haircut that HE should have been taking him to on Thursday) whilst DS eats a rice crispie cake. God I can waste time 😩😂

@Katao ive had a similar pain before at various points in cycle. But I guess I'm not the person you want to have had similar pains 😂

@InkyPaper I totally agree with what @Skip86 says it's so ridiculous. They are like "oh you are fine" how can you be fine when you are told you are meant to have a period EVERY month and nope, you wait, nope. I know that awful feeling. It's not fine. I'm so sorry they are being dismissive.

And me on the tampon @Juno231 and on the staff training! Of course! You wait 60 days for the period then no ones around! You ok?? Do you need a boss shooting too? 🔫🔫🔫🔫

@Minster2012 the amount you get done in a day is slightly terrifying 😂 so annoying about the clinic training day, hopefully they'll get back to you tomorrow.

As for tampons, I never used to feel mine when I wore them unless I hadn't got them in far enough. As long as they went past the bony bit I didn't feel anything. I think my uterus tilts back though as I had to get them in at a bit of an angle to get it sat right.

@Katao it was so frustrating. She was very nice about it all but I was absolutely just being dismissed

@Skip86 Right?!?! Not like having a period and therefore ovulating is crucial to this whole having a baby process or anything! I know they have to stick to protocol but it's so frustrating. I got the impression that if I wasn't TTC she would've just bunged me on the pill and considered it job done

On the tampons front, I can only feel them when I sit down, but I'm quite petite lol, 4ft 10 haha! (Yep, I could defo get a job in Santa's factory LOL) but yeah i don't have alot of inches from pelvis to neck so it goes in as far as it can 🤣🤣 although @minster2012 i think i have a cavernous foof too! One time I had a tampon in and completely forgot about it as was distracted on the loo and I put another one in...3 hours later I felt REALLY heavy like my uterus was gonna fall out 🤣 went to loo...thought I was just really heavy and pulled the first one out and thought wtf is this other string hanging....yep... I was so scared because u hear all this stuff about them being toxic etc if left in lol

@Minster2012 probably just something I ate, must remember there are other organs in there aside from my uterus 😂
@Hopeful110 are you trying for your first? Sorry can't remember but anyway take it from a fellow elf.. short and pregnant is fun 😂😂 I don't know how I stayed upright towards the end!

Anyone tried one of those mooncup things? I stopped using them when I got a coil because the combination is not recommended but I did actually find them much more convenient and comfortable than tampons once I got the hang of them. Bit of a learning curve though.

I'm sure when I was a teenager (ages ago!) there was loads of fuss all the time about that toxic shock thing you can get if you leave a tampon in too long @Hopeful110 I remember being really worried about it, but you hardly hear anything about it now! I think it's pretty rare anyway.

I've had a really nightmarish week or so at work and gave the least prepared lecture ever this morning. Yesterday we had a last minute announcement that the DCs' school was going to shut early and go back a week late which would be a total work nightmare but then yesterday the government overruled it! So they got told at school yesterday that today was suddenly their last day and we did emergency cards and chocs for the teachers and everything and now they're going to be told this afternoon that actually it's back to plan A -- chaos! So unsettling for everyone.

I'm coming up to ovulation again now I think, lots of EWCF. Sometimes this lasts for a while though and I don't want to exhaust DH too early so trying to pace ourselves . . . my MIL is coming to stay for 10 days from Saturday so need to get myself in as zen a mood as possible by then

Cd 22 and not a finch, creamy cm though, I wish I had paid more attention last cycle when I was too zen, I am now wrecking my brain trying to remember the different signs

@kalidasa I found that DTD as soon as I had ewcm worked for me, rather than a few cycles where I waited for my peak. I will never know for sure of course but the ewcm purpose is to help the sperm get to the right place, even if they just then sit there for a few days and wait for the egg 🙂🤞

@Katao haha I have a 3 year old dd, but I hated that pregnancy, towards the end I couldn't sleep due to the severe heartburn and indigestion and I couldn't eat because I literally went off food. Funny thing is I didn't even get a bump until 19 weeks 🤣🤣 ya would think that being petite means we would show alot earlier but nope haha xx

@Minster2012 soup and a sandwich is a thing down south too! Also virtual nativity this year is 100% true. Can’t have the audience of parents in. And filming it was a right pain much easier doing it live! 2.5 days to go - Xmas party tomorrow with 60 7/8 years olds! The week gets better
@InkyPaper that’s rubbish. Just a thought, have you tried supplements to bring on or regulate your cycle? Sorry if you have just trying to be helpful. I found soy isoflavones helped bring my ov forward and now I’m off it I think it has regulated my cycle (I’m not 100% sure as not tracked this month)
I’m 12dpo (I think) and not even a slight temptation to test - weird! If it’s not my month I think I’ll have to avoid next month as any potential due date would clash with my eldest 18th which I think it’s a bit unfair on him. Seems crazy to say it though as I’m clearly not getting pregnant so don’t know why I’m even worrying!
@Franklydear glad they’re paying you, would be so unfair not too as you have no choice but to keep your son off school

I feel like such a failure as I went to the gym last night and did 10 minutes of a workout that I normally do for 30-40 minutes and I was absolutely knackered 😭😭😭 I was going to try and go tonight but I'm just as tired tonight if not more😫 and I can't blame being pregnant because I'm literally a few days so it can't be that. Ugh 😭

@Franklydear glad your son is seeming a bit better.

@lucyrp haha it totally is that! Pregnancy completely wipes you out, even right at the start, it's all that cell division or something! All those books and magazines with sprightly pregnant ladies doing zumba or whatever are the biggest load of rubbish. Almost everyone just sits around feeling sick, weirdly starving and absolutely wiped out, at least for the first few months.

Thanks for your zen encouragement @Minster2012 ,yes the school situation is really not helping with the maintenance of zen and I tell you my MIL won't be either. It will be lovely to have her after so long but she is a bit high maintenance and 10 days is ages - she and DH are bound to have some sort of huge hand-wavey row at some point (they are French ).

Thanks @SarahTTC2020 I've actually never done the ovulation test thing, which I know makes me an absolute dinosaur, but I charted my cycles for years before I had DC (for contraception) and in 10 years I never ovulated before day 13 (and often way later). I'm only day 11 right now and I might have EWCF on and off for another week so planning to give it another 24 hours before really going for it! DP is OK about another baby but dreading the actual pregnancy (because my pregnancies are totally awful) so I am trying to be a bit subtle about the whole process so he doesn't lose his enthusiasm at the crucial moment!
