Welcome to the longest running funniest bus ride in history! Or so we like to think anyway...

Where TTC is sometimes the smallest part of the conversation and we like to keep things fun & spicy cos let's face it, TTC can be as hard as a very useful phallus shaped wooden kitchen implement. 🍆

TTC should be fun. And fortunately we have each other to make each other laugh, giggle & more often than not, spit out our tea or wine

We’ve actually been around each other since March but various of us running this bus since June & not got sick of each other yet ❤️🥰

How we roll on this bus...
⁃ No judgement & each to their own on your TTC journey
⁃ Sense of humour DEFINITELY required
⁃ A few of us like a sex toy a few don’t, there may be sex toys discussed! 🤪a few of our fellas have enjoyed this aspect
⁃ Support each other, ranting is allowed, saying you are down is encouraged & celebrating our happy days too 😘
⁃ We have fun
⁃ If you have a pet, it’s welcome aboard
⁃ NOTHING IS TOO MUCH INFORMATION

@Vil10 currently holds the 👑for filthiest/most embarrassing story, can you beat her???

Story so far...

June 24 BFPs
July 11 BFPs
August 18 BFPs
Sep 4 BFPs
Oct 7 BFPs

So far
6 BFPs in November

How many more 🤔🚌🥰

@Smushty14 @lucyrp I always said I'd hate for someone to propose on a day that already existed too. My OH did it on Christmas day. 🙄 To be fair I'd never made him aware of this though. And by the time he asked i was just so glad he finally had, I didn't bloody care. Plus I was pleased I liked the ring he'd got (I'm picky). I wanted to get married before kids ideally so I was getting frustrated he hadn't asked.

I originally thought I'd leave the wedding longer though (good job we didn't in hindsight) but within 10 months it was all over! I just wanted to crack on.

@Minster2012 I hate hot feet. I'm not sure they truly are hot. Its a horrid experience. Used to happen a lot when I was on the POP.

Spoken to GP surgery. I need day 2 blood again for sure. And on finally seeing what they've done, it's because they didn't do FSH on the right test. I'm lucky they did progesterone both times or I'd have to have day 21 again I think. They basically did them the wrong way around.
Thankfully its only next week so let's hope this referral can finally go off. But the annoying thing is- I told the nurse when I was physically sat there she was doing the wrong one and she even checked twice with a dr. 🙄

Minster2012 · 26/11/2020 15:15

@lucyrp oooo let's hope it's not too long then! When's your anniversary?

@paintfairy least that's one thing bout the bloods but OMG how frustrating on the day 2. Grrrrrr. Let's get this referral off

@paintfairy il probably get to that stage too🤣

@Minster2012 it was in September 🤣😂

Hi everyone, loving reading everyone's stories.

Mine in a nutshell is I'm 36, a teacher and been with OH for 15 years and we spent a lot of time travelling the world together before deciding to be grownups and have a baby.
Not related to my ttc story but interesting all the same-my OH actually saved my life when we were in Australia-we were in a pretty serious accident and he did CPR until the paramedics arrived so he's a definite keeper lol.
Fell pregnant with our little girls who is 2.5 pretty much as soon as I came off the pill. Haven't used any form of contraception since but nothing happened until this time last year when I got a BFP but unfortunately at my 12 weeks scan a missed miscarriage was discovered. Been trying ever since and felt like it would never happen but got my BFP on Tuesday after a total of 18m ttc. Am still breastfeeding so wonder if that's what caused it to take so long, I took vitex this month but could just be coincidental.

@Minster2012 ha ha, no the 20k steps was whilst at work.

@Sausage1990 my god I feel so sorry that you are still going through it all-you sound like you're coping but it's still awful 😘

@NestinginNL I'm the same, looked on a few pregnancy threads and I feel like the new kid at school so I just snuggle back in here where I'm comfy ha ha

Ffs just seen our area is bloody tier 3 so I feel like lockdown is never going to actually end here 🤬

2020mission · 26/11/2020 15:29

@Smushty14 @Minster2012 I reckon most guys will be even less likely to propose as weddings aren't easy to plan right now 😅 I'm relieved I got married when I did, I feel for all of those who've had trouble this year!

Minster2012 · 26/11/2020 15:32

@lucyrp ah I see oops Takes foot out of it 😛

@Clairey844 wow what a story that's fab! Definitely got a gud un there and 15 years 🥰we are tier 3 too. The government seem to have forgotten East Yorkshire exists as a place. So despite living well into a York postcode (like 25 mins) we are all being lumped as Hull & Humber. No pubs for us despite being in a "green area" on the government daily figures website for well over a week. Great. Thanks for that.

On a positive note I've just spoken to IVF clinic & can still go ahead but they won't be drawn on when a transfer might be until I get my period.

@lucyrp I'm with you on not proposing on birthdays, Christmas etc! My husband went for the anniversary of our first date at the end of January. Although it wasn't an ideal time as it meant we had to wait until the next year to marry as it wasn't enough time to plan for that summer 😆

He went and bought a ring on his own with no input from anyone and surprised me. I was quite impressed as he bought a ring I would have picked myself. Although I wear rings and he sneakily took one with him to the jewellers which would have helped a lot.

lucyrp · 26/11/2020 15:50

@2020mission oooo he was sneaky! That's cute tho! I'm not keen on the whole engaged for a year max then married I'm quite keen on being engaged for 2/3- 5 years then getting married

Clairey844 · 26/11/2020 15:53

@Minster2012 same here, we live in a small town that was in tier 1 pre lockdown and now we've been grouped with Leicester which has always been high in terms of cases so we're in bloody 3 now. It's not even just for personal reasons I'm that annoyed; we have a thriving local community and loads of lovely pubs and restaurants who are just suffering blow after blow and I worry all the independent places will go under and the town will become a ghost town.

2020mission · 26/11/2020 15:54

@lucyrp completely understand that. I think cause we are in our 30s and had been together for 7 years by then, we felt we should get a move on and get married 😆 I wouldn't have been in a rush if I was in my 20s

lucyrp · 26/11/2020 15:59

@2020mission totally get where you're coming from, I want to be married by 30 or around 30ish and I'm 23 now so as long as he gets his ass in gear were on track 🤣 I'm not even that excited by getting married really anymore I think its since my mum and dad got divorced. I totally want his surname ASAP tho!😂

2020mission · 26/11/2020 16:03

@lucyrp yeah the name change was the only real difference after haha of course it was a lovely day and celebration with family too. Just because you tend to live like married couples for years before it happens these days.

Kirky658 · 26/11/2020 16:06

@lucyrp @paintfairy my DH said he would never propose on our anniversary together as he wanted it to 'be its own special day'. So on our 3rs anniversary I had no expectations at all. We went for a walk on a hidden cove on anglesey and he got down on one knee. Shocked was an understatement?!

Omg I sooooooo need to rant today and sorry you ladies are bearing the brunt of it... So you all know I hate my job. That is a given. But today has reached whole new heights. We've now been told (having normally working Mon-Fri 9-5:30) that we have to work shifts in January to support the peak season and work weekends too!! I said to my boss I don't see my DH much as it is and weekends for us are sacred. She said tough it's in your contract you can be asked to work weekends.

Obviously my colleagues (aside from one very close pal) don't know we are TTC and neither does my boss, but I just want to say 'I need the time away from this shit show so I can shag my husband and get pregnant!!!' maaaaan I am fuming

2020mission · 26/11/2020 16:08

@Kirky658 that's so annoying, surely they can't force you to work extra hours? Is it necessary to keep the business running or something? I always thought overtime was optional as the hours of work a week are long enough as it is.

Kirky658 · 26/11/2020 16:14

@2020mission it would still be 40 hours per week it's more that our working timetable would be changing. I'm just upset because sometimes in normal circumstances I'd work weekends doing my current role. But we are on pay cuts, company has gone through redundancies and it's like put up and shut up territory

2020mission · 26/11/2020 16:18

Aww @Kirky658 I feel your pain! Thankfully I've not been asked to work weekends but we've been working hard and we also all had our pay cut in the summer after a load of redundancies. I completely get needing time together as a couple though at weekends. Working from home has made TTC much easier for me too (although annoyingly hasn't worked 😂). Is it for the weekends in January? Hopefully they will stop it after then if you're forced to do it 🤞

Minster2012 · 26/11/2020 16:27

@2020mission mine got a ring himself, designed it too but didn't take a ring and forgot I have childlike hands & I nearly lost it being a million sizes too big 🤪also I kinda spoilt the proposal by picking up a dog poo as he knelt down 😂

@Clairey844 no that's not good, are your local shops online now? It's awful isn't it. And so close to Xmas. You close to Leicester then? I grew up in a village in Leicestershire, went to school in loughborough, most of my wider family still live in villages in Leicestershire though I've lost all my 3 grandparents during lockdown ☹️

@Kirky658 what do you do? Do you have a rep or union? Can you ask for a months rota in advance to ensure its fair for all and not just a few pol doing all the work?? That sucks

OP posts:
Kirky658 · 26/11/2020 16:27

@2020mission weirdly for me working from home has made less difference, I work from home permanently but out visiting people normally so it's not make that much difference for me. But on the TTC front it's just draining bc I am under so much stress right now it can't be helping matters.well this is the thing our boss has said it could be for January, could be Feb, could be March!!! Because we work in travel January would normally be busiest but we don't know next year.

Kirky658 · 26/11/2020 16:28

@minster2012 I'm a business development manager in the travel industry. Sadly no reps etc. We are being given a rota apparently but it's more the principle of things haha

Florence13 · 26/11/2020 16:47

@Smushty14 aww we are in similar situations then as we have also not long moved into our long term home with a plan for a master suite.

@Minster2012 I know I have to admit I’m very excited to have a master suite!

@NestinginNL aww of course you can stay and what a lovely story. Hope you have a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Florence13 · 26/11/2020 16:50

@Minster2012 also good news on the IVF front super happy for you, hope your period makes an appearance soon.

Smushty14 · 26/11/2020 16:57

@Minster2012 Oh yes! We can but dream 😍

I just wish I had taken the D&C in the first place rather than being swayed into medical management, would have saved a lot of the physical pain!

Ahaha yes!

That's positive news on the IVF 👍🏻

@lucyrp I'm exactly the same!! Preaching to the choir here lovely 🤣 even had a ring sizer delivered so that he knows my ring size - one less excuse! I've given up being subtle now 🤣

I told my partner exactly the same - no coppouts using birthday, Christmas, anniversary or Valentine's Day 🤣 don't think he took me too seriously though 🙈

@paintfairy I'm getting to the stage where I might just propose myself as I'm fed up of waiting 🤣

I must admit I wanted to wait until I was married before having kids but then again I expected to be engaged around 3/4 years ago and married a year or two ago - that hasn't happened 🙄

Ughhh so frustrating about the tests!!

@Clairey844 we are in tier 2 🙄

@2020mission I know! I mean even if my partner does decide to propose I won't be able to get married next year because everyone from this year will book it up, that leaves 2022 but that will be busy because of the rush for 2021 and I don't wanna wait three years to get married and not have kids.... ugh life eh!

Ooh that was sneaky him taking a ring of yours! I don't own any hence the ring sizer 🤣

@Kirky658 that's so shit!!! I can't believe they can get away with doing that!!

AHobbyaweek · 26/11/2020 17:04

Stretchy CM is here, positive OPK yesterday and lower today. Temp up. Now have to convince DH that more sex is required or I might just seduce him again. Not hard just need to get him away from the Xbox this evening.

InkyPaper · 26/11/2020 17:15

Loads to catch up on today!! Loved reading everyone's stories 😊 here's mine:

I've been with OH for over 8 years now, married for 2 😊 and we've got two cats. We originally planned to start ttc earlier but I got diagnosed with vaginismus just before our wedding (magical timing 🙈) and so had treatment for that that only ended this year in March. Last year was just a shitshow of work issues and mental health issues and my health went down the pan (there was one point where I was tested for akin cancer and bowel cancer in the same week). I got diagnosed with IBS and after a lot of cognitive behavioural therapy for the anxiety and after getting away from my job, I'm in a much better place physically and mentally! My OH has been incredible, he's just the best.

So yeah, ttc first child, always had irregular periods, been tested for PCOS and thyroid problems multiple times but always been normal (apparently). Just had a blood test done to check for those problems again as my period went AWOL for about 3 months. There's probably something going on though as gynae problems are rife in my mum's side of the family (they'll all still unbelievably fertile though so I don't know what's wrong with me). Terrified I may be infertile but will just have to take things as they come, I guess.

SarahTTC2020 · 26/11/2020 17:20

@minster2012 you were picking up a poo 😂😂 why am I not surprised!

My husband proposed on New year's Eve 3 years ago maybe) in Luxembourg, 1st Jan was our anniversary date. He didn't have a ring, think he was too scared to pick one, but he had a Links charm for my bracelet which was called 'tie the knot'.
A lovely Italian lady captured the moment and emailed me a photo.
If I haven't outed myself before then I definitely have now 😂😂
