Welcome to the longest running funniest bus ride in history! Or so we like to think anyway...

Where TTC is sometimes the smallest part of the conversation and we like to keep things fun & spicy cos let's face it, TTC can be as hard as a very useful phallus shaped wooden kitchen implement. 🍆

TTC should be fun. And fortunately we have each other to make each other laugh, giggle & more often than not, spit out our tea or wine

We’ve actually been around each other since March but various of us running this bus since June & not got sick of each other yet ❤️🥰

How we roll on this bus...
⁃ No judgement & each to their own on your TTC journey
⁃ Sense of humour DEFINITELY required
⁃ A few of us like a sex toy a few don’t, there may be sex toys discussed! 🤪a few of our fellas have enjoyed this aspect
⁃ Support each other, ranting is allowed, saying you are down is encouraged & celebrating our happy days too 😘
⁃ We have fun
⁃ If you have a pet, it’s welcome aboard
⁃ NOTHING IS TOO MUCH INFORMATION

@Vil10 currently holds the 👑for filthiest/most embarrassing story, can you beat her???

Story so far...

June 24 BFPs
July 11 BFPs
August 18 BFPs
Sep 4 BFPs
Oct 7 BFPs

So far
6 BFPs in November

How many more 🤔🚌🥰

@Smushty14 my wreath! Probably not to everyone's taste but I wanted something traditional, but might move things around this year and add some baubles!

@AHobbyaweek I know exactly what you mean about work. And it's so wrong we should NEVER be made to feel like this.
I work for an arms length body of the department of health as an inspector and have done for years. When I had my last child (number 4), one of the big bosses used to joke on team calls "jo with the millions of kids" and said I reminded her of "the woman who lived in a shoe with so many children she didn't know what to do". And everyone laughed and it stuck unfortunately. So I'm dreading the time when I announce maternity leave again because people won't be lovely about it, they'll laugh and make reference to "another one" 😔

paintfairy · 26/11/2020 10:27

@Vil10 OMG. Yes. 🤣
A fb friend (son of mums friend) i haven't seen for about 15 years messaged me on fb about a family matter they had. After that he asked if I lived on xxx (my road). I said I did yes? And he said I thought you did. My OHs parents live over the road a bit up from you. I thought I saw your husband (never met) out walking your dog! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That's what posting 1000 photos of your dog on social media does. 🤣

Minster2012 · 26/11/2020 10:29

@Joanna1009 LOL tissue paper 😂🤣crying laughing but honestly it's whatever gets you through! Love your story

@LB20xx laughing at your fiancé that's great, bloody hell nik Naks, blast from the past! Adding those to shopping list. What flavour was it out of interest??? Jesus ladies how much have we spent on FRERS 😂 (we know I've spent a n actual house worth of money on my child /IVF which makes me vom when he screams at me😂😳)

@Kirky658 what a love story ❤️🥰but god bring a woman is a bitch FFS must be so frustrating 😞your poor honeymoon

@Florence13 I love a good Reno story and we also have a thing for front doors here...especially now there are wreaths around so I feel the need to nosy on yours...what's your fave part of your house project?

@Franklydear good. Boss baby will keep you occupied.

@kalidasa totally understandable DH is worrried, do you think you could WFH for some? And marrying quickly on DC 3 month birthday that so romantic! Love it! The money you've saved on tests 🤣he's hoping it's quick again for you. Age no object lovely xx

@paintfairy age no object. See above ☝🏻I long for hot hands & feet. Just don't fart in the sofa, remember that AIBU thread the other day 😂

@LauraT94 LOVE the wreath

@Vil10 the 3 rule yes of course! And a childcare business, adding you to my "I couldn't do it" list! Has your pooches eye totally healed from the sting?

Yep we totally need wreath & Xmas tree pictures as & when then go up ladies!

@vil10 omg that's always a worry for me too!! Winston is such a distinctive pupper I'm like ooooooo deary me 🤣🤣🤣

Vil10 · 26/11/2020 10:32

@paintfairy hahahaha woww, that's what I'm worried about with this forum!!

@Minster2012 it is very hard, but I love it, I love going to work everyday, and I love the office side of it too, however I do have a constant headache!! Aww yes he's fully healed now Thankyou!! He's back to an old grumpy man now!

Also just to add the picture of my wreath, that isn't my front door, it's a door inside my house, I'll add a new pic when we get our new front door fitted!

Great to read everyone's stories - definitely learning more from them even though some of us have been here together for months and months!

Nothing that interesting here, but mines:

I’m 32, husband is 37. Been together for 9 years, married for almost 2. We started TTC in January this year. After getting married we realised we’ve had plenty of time for ourselves living the free life and I’ve had a chance to build my career to a good place so we both felt 100% ready to start a family.

Naively I assumed conceiving would happen in a matter of months from having never touched any hormonal contraceptives and with our health being good, having no family around who’ve had trouble conceiving.

My first attempt in January led to a BFP but a week later bleeding with a chemical. Because we got the BFP on the first attempt I coped and thought well this sucks but we should be able to do this again quickly. Wrong! BFNs for 6 months until August, when the same happened again with another chemical. Another 3 months of BFNs since and have lost all hope of conceiving naturally.

I’m currently feeling a bit stuck in a rut. I’d like to move jobs as my manager is pretty awful but have stayed put for over a year now because I’ve been TTC and it doesn’t feel like a good move to make as I could (ha!) become pregnant and the maternity benefits at the company are decent.

We also want to buy a house (we currently live in a lovely but small flat in the city). I want to pick a house for the family we hope to have. However I don’t think it would be good for us to move to the outskirts into a big empty house near schools if we are going to be childless - we’d be better off in the city. I feel like I can’t pick a house until I know.

Stuck in limbo for now.

Vil10 · 26/11/2020 11:13

@Kirky658 that's the same with mine!! Hope nobody is on here I know👀 own up now😂

Quick question, what's everyone's cm like just after their period??

Kirky658 · 26/11/2020 11:18

@vil10 haha I know right!!! Funnily enough i was curious about the cm thing too. I finished my period on CD5 and from CD6 my RHR kept rising and my CM was well.. Wet and sticky. Don't know if that's right or not but I'm normally pretty dry after my period through to my FW!

Florence13 · 26/11/2020 11:21

@Vil10 aww love your dogs. I also post rather a lot of my two dogs everywhere and they are my babies at present so they are well and truly spoilt.

@Minster2012 I have to admit I did love the front door chat and will be needing a new one at some point. Well so far I think the lounge is about the only room we have finished and so it has become my favourite 😂 but we are hoping to put a master en-suite extension above the garage next year so feel that will then become my favourite project. I would love a new kitchen but feel that it has to wait since it does function perfectly fine and is not the worst. Sorry I’m waffling but have to admit it is definitely keeping me busy.

Vil10 · 26/11/2020 12:06

@Kirky658 hmm strange, I'm on CD6, af finished yesterday, had brown cm yesterday for af finishing but today it's pretty creamy and rhr still dropping!

@Florence13 Thankyou, they're like my children😂 you sound like us!!

DJmum83 · 26/11/2020 12:32

Hi everybody.,
Loving the life stories so nice to get to know everybody.,
I'm 37 and hubby is 31. We have been together 9 years married 7 years.
We have 3 children 2 girls and a boy I always thought that would be me done but I have this longing for past 3/4 years for 1 more hubby was not on board at all. It has caused a few arguments.
I gave up asking.
Then at beginning of October we had our baby niece for the weekend and we loved it. We had a big chat and both said how good the kids were with the baby let's try one more time so here we are.
Had coil out on 21st October have had 2 periods since then and I am going in to my fertile week this weekend.
So fingers crossed.

I send baby dust to all of you lovely ladies and really hope for lots of BFP in the lead up to Christmas.

Xxx

Pancakes90 · 26/11/2020 12:37

Oh please can I join, TTC on cycle 5, just started charting and no one to speak/whinge to about it IRL Grin

LB20xx · 26/11/2020 12:44

@Minster2012 it was the nice & spicy ones, I was going through a pack of 6 nearly everyday. I hadn't had them in years, I just got an incredible craving for them for around 2 weeks out the blue😳😂.
I had the cheap One Step tests from Amazon from when I was on the mirena to do regular testing as per Doctors request, so I used my last few of them last month and made sure I had no recurring deliveries coming from Amazon, now I'll just buy FRER as and when I need to 🤭

MimiRai · 26/11/2020 12:55

@LB20xx I was obsessed with the nice and spicy ones too! it got to the stage we had to buy 5 or 6 multi packs a week just for me! Haven't had them in a while but they are amazing, I was very excited when I saw them in our local Asda 🤣

Smushty14 · 26/11/2020 13:32

I'm 27 (28 on Saturday!) and my partner is 28. We have been together for almost 7 years now - still no ring but I'm working on it 🙄

We started NTNP back in June/July and that's when we decided to move house so back I went onto the pill for a few months until we had moved.

We bought our first house three and a half years ago, it was a little two bed terraced with a small garden. It was a repossession and we completely gutted it and did it up, looked amazing but unfortunately was a bit small so July we found our family home, a 3 bed semi with a garage and we moved in last month.

We have soooo much work we want to do to it but that's the five year plan 😉 master suite over the garage, extension out the back for my dream kitchen, maybe even a hot tub in the garden 🤣

I fell pregnant 7 years ago but it didn't work out. I had medical management at 7 weeks, then because that failed I went in for a D&C.

Nothing worse than grieving over it all for the horrific morning sickness to come back and realising nope, not quite finished yet! Would not wish it on anyone 💔

Minster2012 · 26/11/2020 13:49

@Vil10 that's lovely! I'm generally quite a "dry" CM kinda person anyway

@Joanna1009 if they say something just laugh & say "ah next time I won't wait so long" 😂

@2020mission I didn't realise on the CPs, that's so tough, sending big hugs your way, especially if you want to move jobs & get a bigger house /move out of the city but don't want to without kids. Totally get that. Would you think about more of a project type house which might satisfy your want for bigger house but still give you purpose/project too also with a reason even if no kids? (& I genuinely don't think you will be childless but doing somewhere should also always add value if u don't overspend?)

@Florence13 in my next dream house (totally not feasible) I would love a "master suite", you know, big room, en-suite & dressing room. Ahhhh the dream. I have to say I love my open kitchen diner & it's sociable it's what I look for in any house I'm looking at online 😂

@DJmum83 that's such a lovely story that both of you just thought "aww this is right" you must be a great family & it sounds like another would really complete it🥰maybe we need to spice things up a bit for FW! My boy is so good with other kids & babies & constantly talks about animals (everything has to be in groups of "mummy, daddy & 2 baby") that we long so much to give him that sibling. But we are very fortunate to have a large family & cousins of a similar age to him very close by (out of lockdown that is)😂

@Pancakes90 what a time to join!! Hello & welcome....you join us at story time...flick back a few pages (or from the start of the bus) & meet us all 🥰then if you fancy, tell us a bit about you. We totally get it, here is our safe place xxx

@LB20xx nice n spicy nik naks on list right next to pickled onion space invaders 😂😂and tell your fiancé to step away from the FRER til you are ready

Minster2012 · 26/11/2020 13:54

Ooo @Smushty14 you got the master suite dream! And new house sounds lovely...your MMC sounds horrible. They really are a bitch in a lot of cases, hugs for you too. I think we need to get yours & @lucyrp's OH together on the "get a ring on it" front 💍 & I would f ing love a hot tub. Must remember smushtys birthday must remember smushtys birthday will forget smushtys birthday I'm sorry

Can I still post here? Not fully ready to move over the the pregnancy board yet 😬 had a good line improvement today though and officially late from tomorrow 🤞 also all the groups over there are so boring 🤣 we need some more BFPs here this month so we can start our own anything goes bus.

Loving the stories ☺️ @Vil10 gorgeous spaniels!

I'm 28, DH is 40, married for a year, together three. Met in Rome in 2016 when we were both living out of backpacks, he read my travel blog and sent me a message to meet up when he realised we were in the same city 😁 he decided I was the one basically before we met though so was so awkward around me I friend zoned him for a year and a half of on-off keeping in touch until he came to visit for Christmas 3 years ago and never left 🥰

We moved to the Netherlands from Ireland because healthcare in Ireland is shit, and I had endometriosis, clinical depression and PTSD (after an extremely traumatic event right before I met DH). But I had lots of treatment here and was cleared of all three this year 🎉 so with my heath better and having bought a house we decided to TTC. And now here we are.

I stopped most of my work 2 years ago because of heath troubles, but I'm now finishing a novel and working on retraining as an interior designer and getting clients post 👶

So that's a brief summary of me 😅 we also have 2 cats and 2 dogs who currently live in different bits of the house, and hoping for an integrated house by the time a baby arrives 😂

Phew 😅 hard to boil my life down to a few paragraphs.

NestinginNL · 26/11/2020 13:58

Also meant to say @LauraT94 I love that wreath and front door 😍 the front of our house is so boring at the moment

lucyrp · 26/11/2020 14:04

@Smushty14 also just here waiting for a ring! 5 years and no sign yet. I get a hint it might be next year but not getting my hopes up 🤣 I don't even want to get married straight away i quite fancy a long engagement so don't understand the need to leave it any longer😂

Pancakes90 · 26/11/2020 14:22

@Minster2012 Thank you, I've had a quick read through on my work break, you seem like my kind of people Wink. As for a little life story; I'm 30, have a near 11 year old DD who was a 'happy whoops' when I was a teen. Spent 7 years as a extremely single parent with no help until I met my partner almost 4 years ago. Bought a house last year, got engaged this year but with the Covid malarkey decided on TTC instead of wedding planning for now. Expected to get pregnant the second I came of the pill because I was stupid naive. Partner is military based hours away so it's been a bit of a pain in the arse timing baby-making, but fingers crossed this month we've got it spot on!

kalidasa · 26/11/2020 14:46

It's so interesting hearing everyone's stories. I've just been teaching this afternoon -- we are still teaching in person a bit but it's so weird doing it with everyone in masks and all the doors and windows wide open so all the students are huddled in coats as well!

I am very dizzy now and quite nauseous so getting a bit suspicious. I was worried I might fall over while teaching because of moving / turning around all the time to write on the board so I told the students at the start of the class that I had a prob with my inner ear and was a bit dizzy as a result, and they shouldn't panic if I had a wobble! Luckily not though.

Minster2012 · 26/11/2020 14:48

@NestinginNL no bugger off you are pregnant course you can lovely, we can't even get rid of the ones who are halfway to giving birth let alone due AF tomorrow 😂🙌🏻that's such a great story what a travel romance ❤️and sounds like you've got a good handle on your health now & in a great place for a baby

@Pancakes90 i think a happy whoops often works out the best way & you must be an amazing mum, 7 years single, Jesus I struggle with DH (though often that's like having a huge extra child 😂) TTC with a military OH must be really difficult, fingers crossed this has worked or does he get any time off over Xmas at all (that's just a general question too). We all expect to get pregnant straight away. Bloody sex Ed has a lot to answer for 🤨DON'T TOUCH A WILLY or YOU WILL HAVE A BABY 🤪

Oooo @lucyrp what makes you think 💍 on its way?? 🤞🏻

On a random note ladies I'm having weird pelvic pains. Shooting pains. All right side, in the middle of my hip like where my hip socket is?? nerve pain maybe?? It's making me catch my breath and it's been off and on since last night. Bizarre.

@Minster2012 when other people have said to him about putting a ring on it he has mentioned next year as a date and when I'm like so when is it gonna happen and he says soon 😂 I've told him he's forbidden for proposing on any other special day like birthdays, Christmas, or anything like that I hate it 🙈 it has to be an extra special day not one that already exists! Maybe our anniversary would be an exception
