Welcome to the longest running funniest bus ride in history! Or so we like to think anyway...

Where TTC is sometimes the smallest part of the conversation and we like to keep things fun & spicy cos let's face it, TTC can be as hard as a very useful phallus shaped wooden kitchen implement. 🍆

TTC should be fun. And fortunately we have each other to make each other laugh, giggle & more often than not, spit out our tea or wine

We’ve actually been around each other since March but various of us running this bus since June & not got sick of each other yet ❤️🥰

How we roll on this bus...
⁃ No judgement & each to their own on your TTC journey
⁃ Sense of humour DEFINITELY required
⁃ A few of us like a sex toy a few don’t, there may be sex toys discussed! 🤪a few of our fellas have enjoyed this aspect
⁃ Support each other, ranting is allowed, saying you are down is encouraged & celebrating our happy days too 😘
⁃ We have fun
⁃ If you have a pet, it’s welcome aboard
⁃ NOTHING IS TOO MUCH INFORMATION

@Vil10 currently holds the 👑for filthiest/most embarrassing story, can you beat her???

Story so far...

June 24 BFPs
July 11 BFPs
August 18 BFPs
Sep 4 BFPs
Oct 7 BFPs

So far
6 BFPs in November

How many more 🤔🚌🥰

@Smushty14 I honestly didn't study it year 1. DH bought it and put it up/away. But he clearly didn't pay attention. Men. 🙄 Even when he got it out the 2nd year I'm not sure he realised. 🤣 To be fair I was surprised how ok it did look and with some extra baubles over the bad bits, we still managed to use it 🤣

Vil10 · 25/11/2020 20:08

@paintfairy wow I can imagine that being so frustrating!! It's hard not to get stressed with it x

@notyetamumbuttrying with it being my mums 50th in December I wanted to focus on that and get Christmas presents out the way in November!x

@LauraT94 @lucyrp @Smushty14 I made my own wreath last year! Got little berries, acorns, mistletoe, cinnamon sticks, dried orange and a big bow and it was so easy to do! Think I might add some baubles into it this year!x

lucyrp · 25/11/2020 20:38

@Vil10 @Smushty14 @LauraT94 i don't think i'm crafty enough to do that 😂😂 for one haven't got a hot glue gun! 😂

Franklydear · 25/11/2020 20:44

@lucyrp that’s one craft that would buffle me too... where to start?
The bleeding stopped this morning and hasn’t been back, no cramps, still have sore giant boobs, dh has confirmed, and nausea, so to wait now and hope it carries on that way

Newbie0818 · 25/11/2020 20:48

@Franklydear all sounds great :) x

@Minster2012 you are one inspiring lady! If you can do all that and still manage to hold it all together, we all have hope. Fuck you cancer indeed! 💕

@paintfairy ffs that's so annoying for you, as if you need the added stress?!

Early night for me. I understand how important it is for kids to be at school right now but my god are they working us teachers to the bone. I have nothing left to give, I'm so exhausted. This is just not sustainable! I can't help thinking this might be preventing us conceiving as well as all the other stuff 😔

LauraT94 · 25/11/2020 20:54

@lucyrp you don't need a glue gun! I just got a pack of like 100 mini cable ties off Amazon and tied all the little bits on. Got the baubles and bits from Wilko's, Poundland, Waitrose, etc. And cause they're only tied on I can cut them off and change up the style if I want!

paintfairy · 25/11/2020 20:56

@Newbie0818 yeah I can imagine being teacher is a mega stressful job! I think it would be anyway, but now? Definitely a lot of pressure.

@LauraT94 I feel I should be creative! You make it sound so easy. 🤣

Franklydear · 25/11/2020 20:58

@LauraT94 that’s a very good idea...
@Newbie0818 thank you to all the teachers, what a great and difficult job you are all doing, now about that payrise, mr sunak?

Vil10 · 25/11/2020 21:03

@lucyrp @LauraT94 that's what I did too! You can get like green wire things too so they blend into your wreath! Got majority of my stuff from wilko from it!

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/11/2020 21:06

@Smushty14 thank you darlin 😊 defo don't test if you're too early!
@Vil10 makes sense! Hope you get to celebrate together?!

Smushty14 · 25/11/2020 21:08

@LauraT94 Yes please do send pics tomorrow!! I keep debating on making one but I can't work out how to attach the baubles and I don't have a glue gun - don't really want to buy one for one wreath anyway 🤣

How do you attach the baubles?

I knowww and the FRER will be calling my name too 🙈

@paintfairy Ahahaha at least you were able to use it still!

@Vil10 please send a pic, I want to see!!

@lucyrp my art is limited to stick men 🤣

Minster2012 · 25/11/2020 21:37

OMG I had a massive post

POOF it's gone
It was funny

@Minster2012 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Doh!

LB20xx · 25/11/2020 21:52

Hey lovely ladies! Hope I'm okay to join the bus, have been sorta lurking over the last few! 🥺
So I'm currently on 2nd cycle actively ttc #1 with my fiancé, and I'm-
*6 days late according to Glow
*AF due in 2 days according to Flo and Ovia
Trying to hold back from testing until I'm late according to Flo/Ovia, but I feel really different this cycle than usual, i.e boobs are a little tender, waking up with heartburn, uterus twinges and high amount of CM (sticky/stretchy and thick) where usually it sorta dries out before AF.
Keeping everything crossed for a BFP 🤞🏼💞
Loved seeing everyone else's so far 👶🏼🍼😘

Clairey844 · 25/11/2020 21:59

@Newbie0818 I hear you, had parents evening tonight-3:30-7:00 jam packed with 5 minute phone calls and that's after a full day teaching 🥱
It's not just us, the kids are all knackered too!

@Franklydear just been reading your latest updates, was so worried reading the earlier posts but pleased to see it has settled down so hoping it was nothing to worry about x

Evening all, just had a quick catch up after an exhausting day. I walked to and from work so left home at 6:45am, got home at 7:45pm and managed nearly 20,00 steps in between. In bed already!

Xx

Minster2012 · 25/11/2020 22:03

Right, stick with me... or don't. Meh

I make my own wreath too, started only last year the berry stick I gave @Joanna1009 earlier, that's fit my wreath. I'm hoping it will still like good with pee on. It looks rustic anyway, in my words "you forage green stuff from the village on a soaked fir 24 hours oasis ring, stick it in Willy nilly, pile it in, then stick in feathers/baubles/pine cones/orange bits (from online) on bits of wire dried hydrangea eh voila" rustic wreath. Spray with water every week. Makes me feel v stepford wives.

@Runnergirl1 you are too kind & I'm so excited for your scan ...not too long now, how you feeling?

@paintfairy our lovely Lucy being in wales has been in and then out of lockdown at different times to us...When she had a baby shower to go to we are in lockdown...then when she was in lockdown we were able to meet up with one person it's so crazy & I constantly forget the beauty of MN is that there are ppl from all over! We had this discussion with @lucyrp the other day as her "local" supermarket was actually "over the border" so in theory in lockdown over here but it drives me mental when I can't find things in new supermarkets so most of us thought an invisible line might not make a difference for the sake of a mile 😬🤫I don't think we really know what's going on yet 🙄. Loving your wreath story!

@2020mission whilst in generally organised for Xmas I also don't put up before 1st Dec. But then put up outside lights cos darkness is just depressing. & then see how I feel! There are some around me now & I started a now village tradition last year of doing "advent windows" like a calendar throughout the village of 24 houses (well the church & chapel are number 24) designing a Christmas window to light up & forming a trail round the village like an advent calendar. So I was number 1 last year & I made a light up partridge in a pear tree, this year I'm number 19. It's lovely, ppl walk round, the nursery kids walk round to see the windows during the day. We put a map of the houses taking part at our bus stop & on our community group.

OMG @notyetamumbuttrying YASSSSSSSS that's brilliant. So pleased for you. So are you doing the SA, AMH & paperwork before referral? That's so good. Get in there!!!

@Smushty14 awww thank you. You walked past the FRER, that's some will power- @Joanna1009 look at that ☝🏻☝🏻😋😉

@AHobbyaweek bean bag then floor totally counts. ✅and I will check the iPhone setting.

@LauraT94 my wreath is on Fridays list.

The posts from a few ppl remind me we've got a fair few newbies this bus who don't know my freaky back story or we've not introduced ourselves in a while (why the hell is this weird lady on a TTC thread??) some of us OGs (old girls are used to an over share (stories, pictures, quizzes whatever! But if it's not your bag don't worry...but here's me & a bit more of our story...

So my ramble went something like this.
-I'm 36, TTC #2
-1 DS as mentioned carried by best mate surrogate as I couldn't stop immunotherapy or I lost it on NHS until last year

  • I've always lurked on TTC & ivf boards as we've never been allowed to TTC due to my treatment
  • stopped treatment last may & TTC before starting IVF nov
  • lurking on TTC feb as ivf boards sooooo dull
  • turned my hair pink & purple so ppl looked at my hair not boobs or tummy just in case I got pregnant
  • feb 20 got BFP but MMC March
  • stepped out of shadows on TTC
  • these ladies kept me sane as MMC wasn't great & sex toy sales soared as our thread talked bullets🍆& made 🍸& 🍆tales in the sun
  • hairdressers opened, my hair went platinum as we played "sex toy or dog toy", "pornstar or IKEA object" and "my little pony or pornstar" & our thread made bumper BFPs on pouffees
  • 2nd IVF October BFN
  • we continue to compare pussies, pooches & poking
  • I take over as driver of the bumper bus, my hair now platinum & lilac streaks (no picture though) & waiting for our last chance IVF
  • so heres a toy...but is it a sex toy or a dog toy?

paintfairy · 25/11/2020 22:39

@Minster2012 even i learned new things from your post there. 😁

Ah yes. I remember @lucyrp and her shop dilemma. All these lockdown variations get confusing. I never even know what I'm meant to be doing, let alone anyone else. 🤣 Nothing like a rule change every 3 minutes to keep you on your toes!

AHobbyaweek · 25/11/2020 22:42

@Minster2012 our latest family quiz we had sex toy or dog toy round!!! And I previously did pound or polish round.
Guessing dog toy.

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/11/2020 22:43

@Minster2012 love the bright hair colour, lush! Love your pooches too, couple of cuties x
Thank you 😊 Yes so they'll do the SA, AMH, and paperwork at the first visit. She's putting the referral through directly so it bypasses a couple of hoops and gets us straight to doing things! I cried tears of relief afterwards. She seemed so forthright and assuring, was a wonderful experience 🥰

AHobbyaweek · 25/11/2020 22:43

Are we doing lifeish stories?

Sausage1990 · 25/11/2020 23:08

Christ I've missed alot... I've tried to catch up and reply but conversations are moving so fast 🙈

@Franklydear I'm glad the spotting hasn't continued. I had brown spotting on wiping (well one wipe to be precise) on 2 occasions at about 5weeks and then at 7weeks but everything was fine then when I had the scan a week later at 8 weeks. Its worrying but remaining as calm and chill as possible is good!!! Sending love to you 💕

Hello to all the newbies. Yes let's get everyone's life stores @ahobbyaweek... Well thought I'd join in on @minster2012 's introductions anyway 😊

So a bit about me:

  • I'm 30yrs old and ttc our 1st baby since December 2019
  • got my 1st BFP on NYE 2019 but it was a chemical pregnancy loss at 5 weeks.
  • I joined this bus then right as it started in February 2020.
  • had some crazy long cycles in the spring & took time off work end of May due to stress & burnout. My cycles went back to normal after a few months thankfully
  • BFP in August (after 8 months & 6 cycles) and hopped onto the summer grads bus
  • Back to work in September
  • Missed miscarriage diagnosed at the 12 week dating scan & had medical management
  • unfortunately I had retained product at 3-4weeks post MMC so had to have the meds again... I'm now another 4 weeks on and bleeding has now slowed to just pinky/red discharge. Still needing a light pad each day but slowly getting better.
It's been a loooonngg 2 months. But these girls have been an incredible support.

I'm currently sitting at the back of the bus, just biding my time until my body decides to stop being a fuck boy and give me back my cycles... then we're back on it & hoping that 2021 will bring us our 🌈 xxx

I am a bit quiet at the moment as I'm just having a wobbly few weeks. But I'm still here & looking forward to everyones stories😊💕

AHobbyaweek · 25/11/2020 23:26

Ok mine.
I'm 29 and am currently working from home in a stressful job. My DH (31) and I have one DD 5.
We got together when I was 14 and married when 20. Decided to have my DD early when I started in my career and I have 13 weeks mat leave and DH stayed at home. Was happy with that but did get a lot of grief from women at work.

First birth was PROM at 41 weeks and ended in emergency c section after 48 hours of labour. Lost a lot of blood and DH traumatised. He has since been terrified of having another.
I was morbidly obese last time and they said that caused it but pregnancy absolutely fine and some errors from midwives in birth.

My mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer mid pregnancy and died on DDs first birthday. Really shook me and was really hard. Still is and not sure I am really dealing.

Since had gastric sleeve lost 6 stone. My career has taken off and I'm a great position at work and always worried about having another especially as DH still SAHP. He has not gone back to work yet.

I was diagnosed with severe social anxiety and mild depression. Part of therapy was talking about me being too scared to tell work if I even got pregnant.

DD started school, so we agreed that we could try for number 2. Off HC May. Let's see what happens. Still scared about telling work and potential maternity leave. I wish DH could carry and I could take 2 weeks off and it be acceptable.

Wow sorry for the splurge. Very fortunate in a lot of ways but social anxiety literally makes it impossible to discuss anything above with anyone in real life.

Newbie0818 · 26/11/2020 06:38

@paintfairy @Franklydear we were already doing too much before and now we might as well just split ourselves in half. Very tempting to leave, which is a shame. And now ANOTHER pay freeze. Shocking, they really just don't value us at all. I just... didn't sign up to potentially get sick. I'll do it because I have no other choice, but I'm scared to go to work each day. If I wanted to do that, I'd have been a nurse. And let's not even get started on how much they need a pay rise!

@Clairey844 ugh parents evening is the worst, although video call ones have been so much calmer.

Will do my life story later x

LauraT94 · 26/11/2020 07:09

@LB20xx good luck for a BFP!

@Minster2012 I love it! Hair colours are awesome, I'm prone to dying mine too although I'm usually more a pastel girl. Pink or purple.

@Sausage1990 thanks for sharing ❤️ hope your fuck boy body calms down soon!

@AHobbyaweek wow! It's been a busy 5 years for you then. 6 stone loss is incredible! And I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. Fingers crossed when you do get a BFP those anxieties prove not to be as bad as you're expecting x

Not much of a life story here yet!

I'm 26, should-be-married (May 2020) but I still call him my husband. We were going to wait on TTC until next year but neither of us could wait any longer! I came off the pill on 18th October. I'm officially 3dpo on my first cycle so I'm excited to see what happens! I know it's very unlikely to happen first month, reading all of your stories just confirms that, but I still want to enjoy this 'honeymoon' phase and be hopeful and positive ❤️🥰❤️
