Welcome to the longest running funniest bus ride in history! Or so we like to think anyway...

Where TTC is sometimes the smallest part of the conversation and we like to keep things fun & spicy cos let's face it, TTC can be as hard as a very useful phallus shaped wooden kitchen implement. 🍆

TTC should be fun. And fortunately we have each other to make each other laugh, giggle & more often than not, spit out our tea or wine

We’ve actually been around each other since March but various of us running this bus since June & not got sick of each other yet ❤️🥰

How we roll on this bus...
⁃ No judgement & each to their own on your TTC journey
⁃ Sense of humour DEFINITELY required
⁃ A few of us like a sex toy a few don’t, there may be sex toys discussed! 🤪a few of our fellas have enjoyed this aspect
⁃ Support each other, ranting is allowed, saying you are down is encouraged & celebrating our happy days too 😘
⁃ We have fun
⁃ If you have a pet, it’s welcome aboard
⁃ NOTHING IS TOO MUCH INFORMATION

@Vil10 currently holds the 👑for filthiest/most embarrassing story, can you beat her???

Story so far...

June 24 BFPs
July 11 BFPs
August 18 BFPs
Sep 4 BFPs
Oct 7 BFPs

So far
6 BFPs in November

How many more 🤔🚌🥰

@Joanna1009 well I hope it all works out for you and no AF next week!
@Franklydear glad it stopped hun, here's hoping everything's fine x
@Smushty14 you can read it here www.bbc.com/news/uk-55068783

2020mission · 25/11/2020 11:24

I’m supposed to be having a MN break but just popped on to check how you are all doing. @Franklydear crossing my fingers that all is well. Try and stay positive for now - you did say that you had spotting with your son.

2020mission · 25/11/2020 11:29

@lucyrp I saw the article about Meghan this morning too. There seems to be a lot of celebrities lately speaking up about it. I listened to a podcast by Katherine Ryan a few months back where she was talking about a MMC she had this year at around 12 weeks. I don’t remember hearing much about miscarriages in the media before I started TTC and had the 2 chemicals at around 5 weeks, but it might be that you only notice it when you’ve also been impacted.

Vil10 · 25/11/2020 12:01

@notyetamumbuttrying sounds it!! On final day of af, just a bit of brown now so hopefully be finished tomorrow! Feeling positive about the next cycle, but trying not to stress too much! Hopefully the thought of Christmas will take my mind off it all!!

Katao · 25/11/2020 12:56

@Joanna1009 definitely looks to be something going on there but you must be further on from ovulation than you think surely. You are doing nothing to discourage early testing 😂 although I'm a lost cause anyway....this cycle I just decided to test every day from 1dpo and then I don't have to bother with the whole will i/ wont I charade 😂

@kalidasa so how does natural family planning actually work? I hate the thought of going back on contraception but I would be nervous to trust it. If temping doesn't confirm ovulation until after the fact then how is that helpful? And do you have proected sex around ovulation or just avoid those days altogether? Because if so then it seems like it would be easier to use condoms all the time. Genuine questions, I've just never really understood how it all works in practice. @2020mission did you say before that you used natural cycles too? And welcome back!

Newbie0818 · 25/11/2020 12:56

Thanks for commiserations ladies, hopefully the bitch will go away quickly.

@Minster2012 currently at work, which is helping as it's reminding me how awful some children can be 😂 mine will NOT be though 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@Franklydear glad you got your digi result :)

Franklydear · 25/11/2020 13:02

@Newbie0818 I got the digi confirmation, I also have symptoms with a vengeance, sore boobs, uncomfortable in bra, nausea and indigestion, I only ate green beans and tiny piece of turkey, you would think I had a five course dinner, I cannot move, also a headache, hoping that means all is not lost,

Minster2012 · 25/11/2020 13:30

@notyetamumbuttrying maybe we should have a fact of the day?! Non TTC related so we can all learn something & tell our OH & look like we've been "busy learning random stuff" 🤔

@Joanna1009 the MN app hates me, I turn off notifications & lose the threads too, I turn on notifications & I get EVERYTHING YOU SAY come up on my phone showing the world what I'm doing 🤦🏼‍♀️😬 so I haven't quite found that balance yet! I made a special effort to tag you as well after I messed up last time!

@Katao I feel a bit better now I've been up and about & for a long dog walk, the nurse said test next Tuesday if no AF then take northisterone for 5 days to bring it on. The good news from the news last night about everything opening up is that I would think new IVF cycles can resume though it's still a bit sketchy for my area as Hull (where the ivf is) is still high but my area where I live & where DH company based is low. So who knows. But if we "start" it means we are in the cycle surely?! One of my friends says she knows for her monthly cycle by her bowel movements so I think it can be a thing

@Franklydear im still holding your hand, squeezing it tight ❤️❤️❤️you can't get a grip when every fibre in you is thinking you could be losing the thing you want. Understandable

@Joanna1009 I'm back to you and your RIDICULOUS POAS AT 5dpo because you are now gonna drive yourself crazy for the next 2 weeks peeing on every single stick going....because yup I think there's a line there too you crazy fool 😂🤪🤞🏻here, have stick. This ones got berries on it. 😆😘

@Smushty14 I know a few diva girls who are def not laid back 😂🤣ooooo the weekend 🤞🏻🤞🏻how do you feel??

The next picture is for me...I got a call from my oncology nurse to say my CT & MRI scan all clear, no sign of tumours. So from 11th Dec 2014 getting a terminal diagnosis after my melanoma had returned in my neck & lungs & being told I had 12-18 months to live (DH & I then married 12th Dec 2015 to change my cancerversary to anniversary to say "made it") & my treatment was starting to work but I was pretty sick, on my hen do my best friend had said to me "if your treatment works but renders you infertile I'll carry your kids, I did kids easy" knowing we hadn't been able to freeze my eggs or anything at stage & we were pissed & I was throwing up about 6 times a day from my treatment. Our first ever conversation about surrogacy that was swiftly forgotten. 2 years later almost to the day we impregnated her in secret 😂& announced it Xmas day 2017 for all you guys thinking of an Xmas announcement I did it, bricking myself with meat & Prosecco sweats (cos of course I didn't have to stop drinking) the first ever time we had brought our two families together in our new renovation house me cooking for 20 ppl & casually telling ppl in a game manner after the main course before dessert that my best mate was 9 weeks pregnant with our child.

I really hope a lot of you lovely ladies get that fabulous 🎄feeling

So heres to a 5 year wedding anniversary this year (I always joke he asked me when I was dying thinking I'd snuff it & he'd get a new younger model)
and a 7 year FUCK YOU CANCER you can't get me! 💃🏼

@Minster2012 love your stories, and how positive you are despite all, I take inspiration on you, so I had a good cry, and send a crazy text to bestie, she’s working, she’ll call me... it’s her price for the privilege of knowing...
I feel better, I still have symptoms, I stopped bleeding, and yes, I had a implantation bleeding period with ds, so it had to be substantial to consider it a period until midwife said otherwise... so I did some housework, very light don’t worry, and I started to get things ready, I am back at work tomorrow, I think it’s time and I’ll be fine, if not I’ll deal with that when it happens, my plan is to get to week 6 a week on Thursday start the midwifery going, test again, I want to see the little words, and things will naturally calm down...

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/11/2020 13:42

@Vil10 yes Christmas, more stresses lol! Have purchased my first present tho! ☺️
@Minster2012 yes let's start it! I need to think of some more useless facts and will post one. My Dh will be most impressed considering he thinks I'm on here too much and that's what made me upset last night. I was like erm no, coming on for the 18th time made me upset! Book the fucking test so we can get some answers is what I wanted to say but said it more politely 😂

Your story is SO wonderful hun, I never tire of hearing it 🥰 well bloody done xx

paintfairy · 25/11/2020 13:43

@Joanna1009 it does seem early to get a positive test but I've seen it happen before. Again, I think it's a myth we are a scientific clock. And whilst some people will be nearer 10dpo I think some are earlier. It should show on an frer though too if it's showing on that. So worth trying one in a day or 2?

@Minster2012 random non ttc facts are good i reckon?

I'm really pissed off with this whole thing. I rang my dr in July for a referral. We are now in November because they've dragged everything out. The referral finally went off last week. Its come back and they want me to repeat all the blood tests? No words to explain how pissed off I am. I'm 38 almost, and no time for them pissing about with wait times, it'll all be very tight timing wise at this rate. 🙄 It remains to be seen whether I'm ovulating because apparently no one knows again. 🤣 I better hope I take after the long termers on here that have finally got their bfp. Because relying on the nhs is not reassuring!

Franklydear · 25/11/2020 13:47

Of course I had to make a cake, from a box, so cake and bestie reassuring is a good recipe.

Minster2012 · 25/11/2020 13:51

What @paintfairy that's ridiculous??? Do they say why??? Why has the referral not gone?? Can you wurst some NICE guidelines at them cos I'm sure after age 35 you only have to be trying for a year don't you??

@Franklydear it sounds like a plan. And with every bit of me I hope the bleeding stays stopped. Try stay busy

@notyetamumbuttrying I hope we are a distraction not the cause of upset? DH says I'm on here too much too. I've got to drive surely?

And its only 6 years. Doh.

OP posts:
Franklydear · 25/11/2020 13:53

@notyetamumbuttrying my dh also thinks I am here too much, but comes around when I remind him if I didn’t have you lot and unable to talk frankly with anybody else, I’ll be dumping everything on him, and quickly comes back to think you are all wonderful

Florence13 · 25/11/2020 13:57

@Minster2012 you are so inspiring! And good on you for always being so positive because you must be an incredible person to deal with all that and still be as lovely and positive as you are!

@Franklydear aww well it sounds good if everything has settled and your digital showed that result. Just make sure you rest and although it’s an awful thing to say it is a case of watch and wait. But holding your hand for support all the way.

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/11/2020 13:59

@paintfairy jeez what a flipping nightmare! I'd be raging, feel for you x
@Minster2012 definitely not the upset at all! He's the bloody upset lol! I'm very thankful that I have somewhere to go to vent and listen and also help others. I find it very cathartic being on here. Yep, you can't go anywhere bus driver lady x
@Franklydear haha exactly that!!x

Vil10 · 25/11/2020 14:05

@Minster2012 happy anniversary and happy fuck u cancer🖕🏼 you're such a strong woman, I love it!!

@notyetamumbuttrying my next af is due the 22nd so hopefully I'll be too busy and caught up in Christmas spirit to worry about being in the TWW😂 first?? I must just be very keen because I've got all mine sorted bar 1!! Going to start wrapping this weekend after the tree has gone up!

@paintfairy that's a piss take!!!

LauraT94 · 25/11/2020 14:06

@Smushty14 having been a nanny for 7 years, I can safely say that from my experience, girls are SO much more laid back than boys 😂 all the girls I have had have been polite and inquisitive and have good patience. The boys have been energetic whirlwinds 🤪

@Minster2012 what a fab story! I'd love to be able to be a surrogate one day, or donate eggs or something. I've always felt like that was on the cards for me one day.

@paintfairy I'm sorry you're having a frustrating time with the NHS! Seems to be the case with all sorts of referrals, no one communicates with each other and you end up repeating tests and repeating yourself time after time!!

paintfairy · 25/11/2020 14:28

@Minster2012 @notyetamumbuttrying @Vil10 @LauraT94

They are a joke. Its my understanding blood tests are repeated when you are referred anyway? So I honestly can't see why it matters much?

But a quick summary:

I went to gp in 2019 and ended up having several tests because of my LP bleeding. They basically did everything bar 21 day blood test. Referred to gynae who claimed it was hormonal or who knows. They weren't interested.

So now- they did day 21 before day 2 (because that's how it fell). There was some confusion over the results because of that (how hard can it be?) but they were done at the right time, just in the wrong order (so different cycles). They first said i wasn't ovulating but then the dr realised the error and said i was. Put referral through.

Now apparently they are querying the blood tests so want them repeated? To confirm if I'm ovulating. Well firstly- can't the hospital just check that? Secondly the tests were done on day 4 and day 20 (my cycle is slightly short) anyway, and thirdly there's clearly an issue regardless because I've been ttc over a year, so why the bloody hell does it matter? 😡

If I have heard nothing by fri I'll call back because day 2 will be next week and I don't want to miss that as it'll fall over Xmas the following month! So if they are doing it then they need to do it. Its so hard to get appointments as well. Ball ache.

I have no idea what my results are. Because they wouldn't give them to me. So I've had to put in a gpdr access request form to get them. So I'm still waiting for those, I dropped the form off last week.

So am I ovulating? 🤣 Answers on a postcard.

Kirky658 · 25/11/2020 14:33

@minster2012 what a wonderful heartwarming story. You are a very strong lady, I'm in awe of you. ❤️💪

@paintfairy whilst I don't have the same experience as you, I can sympathise with the NHS being a waste of space as they left me waiting 2.5 years for my second endo surgery. So totally get it. X

kalidasa · 25/11/2020 14:37

@paintfairy that's really frustrating -- I hope you get some answers soon.

@minster2012 how wonderful! One of my siblings also survived a very bleak diagnosis a long time ago now.

Florence13 · 25/11/2020 14:41

@paintfairy oh what a nightmare! I really hope you get some answers soon hun

Minster2012 · 25/11/2020 14:52

@Florence13 (shhhh 🤫don't tell everyone I'm nice, I can be very cold hearted & a bitch if you cross me but I'm the most loyal & generous person to those that don't!)

@Franklydear we def do your DH a favour. I have said that to mine on many an occasion.

@notyetamumbuttrying love us being cathartic, I just can't spell it without spell check!

@LauraT94 energetic whirlwind boys. Ah yes. That's exactly right & god the world needs more surrogates & eggs! I was facing the real possibility of using donor eggs (& still would) & there is such shortage. Some ppl I went to school with after reading about us & DS donated & im so thankful it's an amazing thing but ppl are put off now as children from donors can now legally trace their donors once they reach 18. It's a hard one.

@paintfairy I DEF think you need to write some sort of complaint. That's not good enough. I may not be able to provide the answer but maybe the stamp for the postcard?

Florence13 · 25/11/2020 14:55

@Minster2012 haha you do make me laugh 😂

paintfairy · 25/11/2020 14:57

I know no one can really help but its just so frustrating. So thanks for listening everyone! 😊
I had zero faith in the nhs before this though and it's certainly not improving.

@Minster2012 stamp 🤣 Thank you. 😁
