8dpo - Period like cramps?

Hi Everyone!

I am 8dpo and this evening feel as though I have mild period cramps. Could this be implantation or does implantation feel different? My breasts feel heavier and fuller and I can see blue visible veins on my chests, breasts and hips, CM seems to be creamy. Other than that no other real symptoms. I am trying not to think the period like cramps are a bad sign!

@WicketBasket Great! They will really help you, no doubt about it Where abouts are you in your cycle currently? How long have you been TTC? Hopefully the veins are a good sign although I’ve read that although it’s a sign of pregnancy it is also due to high level of progesterone which doesn’t necessarily confirm pregnancy but hey, I will just have to see. I will test either next Friday / Saturday. AF is due on Friday but I don’t like to test early as I think it would stress me out a lot so I’d prefer to wait until I’m late what about you? Xx

@sunshinecitrus1 Thanks! I really hope the OPK’s will give me some clarity with my cycle. My cycles tend to be about 35 days and I’m currently day 30, with AF due on Thursday. I’ve been TTC for more than a year now so am getting a bit fed up! What about you?

Agreed!! I don’t like to test early either as I’ve wasted a lot of money on tests already You’ll be testing pretty soon though, just gotta wait a bit longer! I see what you’re saying about the veins but I always hear this as a sign in those who got their BFP’s so I’m very hopeful for you. Fingers crossed lovely xxx

@WicketBasket Ah you have pretty long cycles then, which actually, must make it even harder for you when AF arrives as you have to wait a long time for the cycle to come back round again! I really hope you see your BFP soon, will this be your first? This is only my second proper month at TTC and I know it probably sounds silly but I am already worrying about what if it doesn’t happen! I know it’s early days but it’s hard not to stress about things.

Hopefully AF doesn’t show up next week and I can do some testing next weekend I really hope you’re right about the veins, thanks for giving me a bit of hope

Hey ladies! Thought I'd jump in if you don't mind. I'm currently 7DPO and a few hours ago had very brief sharp pains in my lower right abdomen that made me curl over and say ow. Decided to check my CM and it has a slight pink tinge but it's so faint that I'm wondering if I'm seeing things. That being said, I've read posts where implantation has felt like AF cramps but milder.
Regarding the sore boobs, I get that every cycle, so it's a non-symptom for me, but for you @sunshinecitrus1 it could mean a BFP!

Hi @unCliche welcome! How long have you been TTC for? Any more pains in your lower right abdomen? Any other symptoms since? I am 12dpo today, symptoms are kind of non existent apart from the blue visible veins on my chest and breasts and they just feel heavier and full but no real soreness. My mood the last few days has been very cranky and I have felt tearful... Today I have had creamy white CM but not sure if all of this is a sign that AF is on the way or whether it can still indicate pregnancy! Temp is still elevated. AF is due on Thursday so will just have to see!

@sunshinecitrus1 this is my second cycle TTC. I'm being really cautious and assuming any pain I get is trapped wind. I haven't really felt anything since my last message but yesterday, my temps and RHR both went up and have stayed up.
How is your cramping now? Cramping without AF can only be a good thing. And since its due in four days, maybe the cramping is a positive sign for you.
Aw! I've been teary too but I'm not sure if it's hormones or natural empathy 😂
CM is a tricky one because it can vary from person to person. I guess it just depends on what's normal for you comparing it to that.
I just really want to feel like something is happening in there 😪

Hope you don't mind me jumping on! I am 5/6 dpo (according to OPK's, but have irregular cycle post implant) and having mild period like cramps but not sure if overthinking! Nice to be in same boat with others. Going to try and hold off testing for another week, anyone testing soon?

@unCliche Ah same here, second month of TTC too How was your temp this morning? I am on 13dpo (CD26) and temps still seem elevated but it seemed to be the same last month, from CD27 my temp seemed to drop so tomorrow should be interesting! I have had more cramping last night and this morning, almost feels like AF is almost here really hope not! How are your symptoms now? Are you about 10dpo now?

@Pollyell welcome! It must be hard having irregular cycles, I am lucky in that respect. My average cycle is 28 days, I am CD26 currently, 13dpo... Really hoping for good news! I don’t like to test early, AF is due Thursday so if she doesn’t show then I will test Friday / Saturday what about you?

@unCliche @Pollyell What do you think of my temp chart? The screen shot runs from
CD16 to this morning, I guess there is a slight increase unlike last month which was more up and down temps than this one! Didn’t have a very gradual increase last month either.

Can I join in ? Same cycle as you guys - AF due on Friday and I am feeling also a bit blah and down this month - had lots of cramps around 9/10 DPO and feeling really nauseous. Breasts feel heavy and tender but again all of that could just be AF coming too so nothing particularly different. Promised myself I won't test till day of period so need to keep that up otherwise I get so upset. Now going to be 10 months of us TTC.

@sunshinecitrus1 my temps stayed high as well. But yeah, I'm 10DPO and feel terrible. Been getting lightheadedness and also my CM is pink. I'm not cramping but AF could still be coming.
I wouldn't worry that your cramping means AF is imminent. You've been cramping for a while now and nothing has happened and your temps look really good too and there's definitely an upward trend about them so I'd say you have some really good signs.

@Pollyell 6 DPO is when things start happening so these next few days should be exciting for you! How long have you been TTC?

@bstrong0805 Let's hope that this is your month! Everything does sound promising and if you feel different than to previous months maybe these are symptoms that are worth noting! What are your blah feelings like?

@unCliche Does your temp tend to stay high until a day or so before AF? You have some good signs there too! Does this month feel different to last for you? I’m just holding on to the upward trend but scared that tomorrow I will do my temp and I will see a decline! But hey, we just have to go with it don’t we

@bstrong0805 welcome! Ah our cycle is very similar, AF is due on Thursday for me. It must be really tough after 10 months, I am only 2 months in and this is hard enough! Fingers crossed this is your one! I am 13dpo, had cramps a lot yesterday and today, I have blue visible lines on my breasts and chest area which I haven’t noticed before. If AF doesn’t come before Thursday, I am planning on testing Friday / Saturday this week as I don’t like to test early either!

Hi ladies, so glad I found this thread! I've had really sharp pains this afternoon on the right side of my abdomen, thought i was imagining them at first but made me go OUCH! Husband said I was just trying to get out of helping him do the dishwasher haha.

I'm about 7/8 DPO (used cheapies OPKs this month so found them hard to read!) and did SMEP.. so have everything crossed.

This is month 8 of actively trying and not even a hint of a BFP :( no I havent had these pains before at this point in my cycle. I've had what i assume was ovulation pains once or twice, but never about a week after ovulating 🤞🤞

@mrsrichy I hope so! The problem is, these symptoms can be either can’t they so I really don’t think this is a way of actually telling until AF shows her face or doesn’t! Ah I’m sorry to hear you have had no BFP signs for 8 months, here’s hoping you have more luck this month! Do you track your temp?

@sunshinecitrus1 nope, my temps start to come crashing down at around 7DPO so this is new territory for me. If I'm lucky, they'll drop the day of AF. Every morning for the past few days I've been really scared of my temps plummeting so I completely get it!

@mrsrichy I got the exact same thing a few days ago. Now my CM is pink and patiently waiting for AF. Let's hope those pains are good pains for us!

@sunshinecitrus1 your symptoms definitely sound promising! Hope Thursday comes around quickly for you and you can stay busy! I have read that creamy CM (leukorhoea) can happen in early pregnancy- there are pics on Google.

I was doubting myself wondering if I was imagining these cramps but they are definitely there today, kind of tight deep feeling in centre of pelvis. Either AF is coming sooner than I thought or... I dare not say it! X

@Pollyell I really hope so! I am back to work tomorrow so will be able to keep busy there for the next few days Funnily enough I was reading about leukorhoea yesterday. I never realised how similar early pregnancy symptoms were to PMS! Those cramps can only be a good sign, especially if you’re not used to having them! How are they at the moment? x

@sunshinecitrus1 apologies, I just saw you asked about your temp chart. I dont temp but I see @uncliche has answered - sounds promising for you! Do you think it is leukorhea youre having?

My pain just feels like a mild dull ache deep in pelvis, no worse than what I get during normal period. Boobs also feel as if they're bruised. Keep expecting to wipe and see blood but nothing so far. What is your pain like?

@Pollyell No problem! My temp is still elevated, it was more or less the same as yesterday this morning. But it’s CD28 for me tomorrow (15dpo!) which is usually my cycle length so I am wondering whether it may drop in the morning Yeah I think it could be leukorhea, again, that could mean AF or pregnancy! My cramps feel mild compared to yesterday and the day before but I do feel as though AF is going to be here any minute.

The sore breasts sound like a good sign for you! How have you been today?

@sunshinecitrus1 I am so impressed that you've lasted to 15 dpo without testing! I've ordered some FRER's and not sure i will be able to hold off till next tues.
I still have sore boobs, they aren't any bigger but DP couldn't believe how firm they were. Mild, basically constant cramp now. Honestly just keep expecting to see blood!

How are you getting on today?

@Pollyell Haha! I am very strict on myself! I just prefer to wait until I am officially “late” before testing. I am pretty much like clockwork with my cycle and AF is due tomorrow so we shall see. I am the same as you, feel like she is going to come any minute! It has been like that for a few days now, since Sunday I would say. Remind me, how many dpo are you now? The sore boobs are a good sign for you!

I’ve had cramps again today, feel like AF is coming any second, my temp remained the same as yesterday... I have a feeling I will probably wake up to a temp drop in the morning but I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I think I am 8 or 9 dpo today. Confession time, I did an FRER last night and it was obv BFN - don't know what else I was expecting! But I've learnt my lesson and going to wait till next Tuesday.

I've caved and have done a cheap test this morning, think I'm 11DPO. I dont want to get my hopes up but I think there's a v faint line! I'm not sure if it has any colour to it though. The control line actually showed before the test line?! Never had that before!
What do you ladies think?! Please be honest... if it isn't there I wont be offended!!
