@amy2503 if it's any consolation, I also feel like total crap today. Finished with AF now and just feel absolutely drained with the thought of starting again this month with a new cycle all over again.. Just had a bit cry to DH which essentially culminated in me saying why do we even bother trying?! The odds are stacked so high against us every month. I'm worried about myself as my mental health has never been fab, I have bad anxiety that flares up from time to time, and I'm headed down a slippery slow atm where TTC is all I can think about.. I'm certain that my BFF who has a 10 month old is trying for another and I'm terrified she's going to say she's expecting again soon.. Just can't take it. Sorry for the rambling on and the pity party.

My dr has told me to not track and not focus on it. Easier said than done like, but it doesn't actually change anything? As long as you dtd regularly then i think switching off to it helps. @newbie0818 i don't think it's impossible for you at all. But if you have fertility stuff going to happen in the future I definitely think easing back on the pressure is worth doing. So - have fun, keep having unprotected regular sex and see what happens? I've a friend who has been trying a while and honestly I'm not surprised it's not worked out at all. Yes there are issues (which she predicted too) but they got themselves that wound up about it? It really can't help.

@Kirky658 totally normal I usually feel like and end up having a cry every month when it's not worked, it's always hard. I'm especially frustrated with my body right now because I'm on day 3 of spotting with back cramps and still no AF but I'm 100% not pregnant. I just want to move on to the next cycle already 🙄

@Minster2012 😅😂😂 actually I think it was self insemination!!!! That night he had two injections full lol do you remember hahaha

@Newbie0818 I think if it was me I'd give myself a month off trying and just going back to enjoying natural sex again without scheduling it, and maybe just take a relaxed approach for a while? I mean my relaxed approach didn't get me my BFP this month but it certainly made me feel better with not doing opk's and stuff x

@Kirky658 so sorry you feel like shit, but it's completely normal!! I had a good cry the other night after seeing 3 pregnancy announcements in 2 days, and I just feel like I can never imagine getting that second line and I can't picture ever being pregnant, and it's proving a lot more difficult with 1 of my close friends being 36 weeks and the other being 15, so all the talk in group chats is about babies, buttttt we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and just hope and pray we get to carry our baby one day soon❤️

So AF got me this morning after 2 days of spotting, pain felt really uncomfortable and intense this morning whilst doing shopping but got home to a brew, a hot water bottle and all the Christmas decorations down from OH which has me soo excited!! Gonna have a clean of the house today then making a proper period craving carby tea, chicken and chorizo pasta bake with garlic bread! Then got a quiz over zoom with the family so may even have some wine and chocolate too!! Hope everyone else is okay x

@Kirky658 it's so hard, honestly it is and with mental health blips it must be worse. It's natural to obsess over it, we all do. That's why i love this thread for it not just being all about TTC but other stuff too but we are here fir the good times, the bad times and everything in between.

@Vil10 your food sounds immense & im so tempted to get our decorations up earlier this year...DH is a Scrooge though but I'm putting it in the advent calendar for us all to do it together though

@Minster2012 something proper carby that'll deffo make the pain of af feel better! When do you usually put them up? My OH was in Thailand at the beginning of December last year so me and my mum put ours up the first weekend, so I think he's wanting to join in this year😂

So a girl I was really good friends with at school and college and still speak to sometimes now, announced her pregnancy last week, and I congratulated her on her Facebook post, and she's just messaged me now about something so I've congratulated her again and she's put "it'll be you next", and I just feel like saying "yeah hun I'm trying" 😂😂

@Newbie0818 maybe just try a shift in perspective? I didn't track last cycle and it was a mental break but stressful at the end not knowing where i was so did a few opks this cycle and caught peak and also started bbt but more just for fun if that makes sense, just wanted to try it. I'm just not putting pressure on things or over thinking it. I did the opks to know where i am and when is sensible to test but didn't put pressure on timed sex, just did ot when we wanted. Dtd the day of peak but not the day after which would have been ovulation but we weren't in the mood 🤷‍♀️ if it's good enough it's good to enough. I'm starting to feel like it will happen when ot is meant to happen. I'm sureyou still have a chance if conceiving naturally but maybe just concentrate on your well being and relationship between now and your appointment and go from there?

@Vil10 why not say something, just like "yeah I wish" 🤷‍♀️fuck it, it's good to talk. We usually put Xmas decorations up weekend of 12th as that's our wedding anniversary and we had Christmas trees up for our wedding so he allows that but considers anything before then as "too early" as in his family house they didn't go up til Xmas eve as his sisters birthday is 23rd Dec so they used to wait until after then. I've been trying to put it forwards for about 9 years 😂

@Minster2012 we never used to have ours up until christmas eve at home but only because the corner in the living room it used to go in was my keyboard corner and where i kept all my toys so mum would have to do a huge clear out and move everything out the way so she always used to leave it until the last minute. i'm thinking we'll get our tree the first or second week of december we get a real one so any sooner and it will die. i always leave it up until the 6th january too!
