Hey everyone!

I'm either 3 or 4 dpo and looking to chat to others for the hpt countdown nightmare.

I feel like I've bought a lottery ticket. Excited, hopeful, but ready for a great big nope too 😀

@rttcbabyno1 Thank you! We aim for as soon as possible after LH surge, I have a feeling I probably ovulate extremely quickly after my surge and my cycles can very by a few days too so it makes things a bit stressful and impossible to plan in advance - but yes, you're right, having the guarantee of good solid swimmers is one thing off my mind Grin

My TWW is up on 27th, I'm going to try really hard to resist the urge to test sooner with a FRER because if it's a BFN I think I'll keep being hopeful that it'll turn positive over the next few days... at least if I get a BFN on the 27th, I can have a glass of wine and forget about it for a week or two!

Anyone else driving themselves crazy trying to symptom spot even though you know it's unlikely to get symptoms this early?! Confused

rttcbabyno1 · 19/11/2020 21:25

@restingwitchface86 what DPO are you now? My app says I'm 6... can it get any slower seriously 😣😣 I'm symptom spotting too, you just can't help it when it's all you want! How common is it really to not have symptoms though? I had them when I had the CP, so not feeling hopeful, as haven't had them yet. I'm just negative in general sadly, my partner tells me off lol. Trying to stay hopeful though!!!

rttcbabyno1 · 19/11/2020 21:27

@restingwitchface86 also I won't be testing until I'm late if I can help it too. I think someone said further down that getting your period is easier on your mental health than seeing a BFN. I can imagine that's very true x

KitQ · 20/11/2020 08:10

Happy Friday everyone :) how are you all feeling?

Lemongrass9 · 20/11/2020 08:33

Morning @KitQ how are you today?
I’m feeling pretty rubbish as have woken up to AF this morning...emotionally I feel okay about it (very happy I didn’t waste any money on tests this month!) but have got some serious cramps - thankfully I’m not working today.

KitQ · 20/11/2020 10:24

@Lemongrass9 sorry about AF, definitely AF yeah? I’m glad you’re ok though. I’m feeling rough, headachey and just a bit rubbish. I did have flu jab yesterday so I think it might be caused by that maybe?

rttcbabyno1 · 20/11/2020 11:53

Sorry about AF @Lemongrass9 it's disheartening but you just need to think about the next cycle now. At least you can have an early Christmas tipple perhaps?

I'm getting period-type crampy feelings so I'm sure mines on her way too, although I'm a bit confused about this month as I had a super late ovulation. Ever since the CP my cycles have been super long, it's really messed them up. Means even longer to wait for TTC ☹️ I'm 7DPO now, not expecting AF for any other week.

Anyone else doing everything they can to distract themselves from TWW? I usually never sit down anyway but I've baked LOADS the past week. I'm just gaining weight from TTC, no baby lol. 🙁

rttcbabyno1 · 20/11/2020 11:54

**another week, not any other

Lemongrass9 · 20/11/2020 12:49

Thank you @KitQ it’s definitely AF unfortunately! Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling great, probably is due to having your flu jab.

Thanks @rttcbabyno1, to be honest the thing I hate most about the tww is the uncertainty so at least that goes away when AF arrives - and the wine is already in the fridge for later. I am the same as you with doing things to distract myself and ending up baking/eating and gaining weight. Need to focus these next few weeks and lose the few pounds I’ve put on!

Sorry to hear your cycles have been messed up since your CP, it must make waiting so much more difficult. Hopefully your cramps are nothing to do with AF and you’ll get good news soon.

Keeppositivekeepsmiling · 20/11/2020 14:17

Sorry about AF @Lemongrass9 hope your feeling better soon.

Was so tempted to test with FMU today but keep telling myself its only a couple of more days till AF is due so just wait! I only have 1 FRER and 1 cheapie in so need to use them wisely! Its so hard tho! Ive got crampy feelings on left side only, ive had them for a few days now but im convinced AF is on the way, hence not wanted to use my FRER yet. Cant believe how crazy this tww makes me!

Lemongrass9 · 20/11/2020 14:37

Thank you @Keeppositivekeepsmiling feeling 10 times better than this morning already actually, feeling very grateful that it has come on a day where I have the time to take it easy.

Well done for holding off testing so far, I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to waste a frer. How many dpo are you now?

KitQ · 20/11/2020 14:57

Tomorrow I’ll be 10 dpo. Is that too early to test?

ButterscotchBabe · 20/11/2020 15:15

@Lemongrass9 did your af come early or do you have short luteal phases? I thought we were all around 7-9DPO but maybe you were further along?

@KitQ try and hold out till 11DPO, you'll be more likely to get an honest result

Pollyell · 20/11/2020 15:29

Meeeee! I think I am 2 or 3 DPO. My OPK didn't show positive but I was v v close, and had ewcm and cramps. Still doing daily OPK and regular BD just in case.

Going to try to hold off testing until 2nd Dec! X

Keeppositivekeepsmiling · 20/11/2020 15:49

@Lemongrass9 so glad to hear your feeling better than you did and you've been abit to take it easy. I had my peak on the 9th November so today I should be 10dpo. My app predicts AF on sunday, so I may wait until Monday and see what happens, if no AF, test Monday.

Lemongrass9 · 20/11/2020 17:29

Thank you @Keeppositivekeepsmiling ☺️

@ButterscotchBabe AF was due tomorrow so not early really. I was a bit further along as 13dpo today. Back to cycle day 1 now though 🙄.

ButterscotchBabe · 20/11/2020 17:35

@Lemongrass9 ah I see, aww it really sucks when af arrives ☹️. Hope you enjoy the wine x

ButterscotchBabe · 21/11/2020 07:13

8DPO today, since coming off the pill my af has arrived on 9DPO so feeling pretty nervous today. I will be so gutted if it arrives tomorrow because not only will I not be pregnant, there will have also been no improvement in lengthing luteal phase.

Got cramps and pulling feeling, fingers crossed it's implantation and not af on way!

How's everyone doing?

KitQ · 21/11/2020 07:26

@ButterscotchBabe fingers crossed it stays away for you today!

BFN for me this morning :/

ButterscotchBabe · 21/11/2020 07:48

@KitQ oh no ☹️, are you 10DPO today? If so, there's definitely still a chance! Retest in a couple of days x

KitQ · 21/11/2020 07:52

@ButterscotchBabe I think I’m 10 dpo, don’t know 100%. Yeah still a bit early I think.

Dex1521 · 21/11/2020 09:17

Hi all I’m 2dpo and already wanting to test 🤣 #addict, we are trying for baby no. 1. I have a strange feeling in my uterus all day yesterday and I’ve still got it today, it’s not cramping but more of a heavy or pulling sensation it’s uncomfortable but not going to stop me going about my day to day business. My nipples are quiet sensitive too and I’ve never had sensitive Nipples/boobs as an AF symptom so dont know if it’s a fluke, but I’ve also never been pregnant so 🤔 anyone else had these before? Especially the pulling uterus feeling

Vicki1990 · 21/11/2020 10:12

Morning ladies, 10dpo today and af arrived this morning. Gutted, but managed a 10 day luteal phase at least. I started taking vitamin c and folic acid yesterday.
Fingers crossed for a Christmas bfp it's our wedding anniversary on the 23rd so that would be the perfect present!

Sorry to hear about your bfn @KitQ it's still quite early so try again tomorrow and you never know! Will keep my fingers crossed for you!

WicketBasket · 21/11/2020 10:25

Hello everyone!

Joining for some support! 9dpo currently and feel like this is the slowest cycle ever. Have already started having my usual pre AF cramps so not hopeful for this cycle :(

Quick question, for anyone who doesn’t really use OPK’s or temping but still uses fertility apps, how accurate have they been in predicting ovulation for you? As in you were only using the app before and the once you started using OPK’s, did you find that the app predictions were reasonably accurate? Xxx

Seasalt1984 · 21/11/2020 11:28

Morning everyone Smile

@vicki1990 That's really positive that your leuteal phase was longer this month! And still time for a BFP in 2020! Keep going with the vitamins! x

@wicketbasket Welcome! I've not been temping but I've used OPKs and found my surge has been on a slightly different day each month when app just seems to give mid cycle point...i wouldn't have known that unless I'd POAS. Using cheapy amazon ones and they seem as accurate as more expensive digital ones. Having said that DTD every 2-3 days over cycle should be enough according to NHS guidance 🙏
