Hey everyone!

I'm either 3 or 4 dpo and looking to chat to others for the hpt countdown nightmare.

I feel like I've bought a lottery ticket. Excited, hopeful, but ready for a great big nope too 😀

@KitQ I think back pain is a great indicator though, especially if you haven't had it before! I had a chemical pregnancy in my first month, my cycles have been all over the place since, it's very frustrating 😟 I only knew about it for a day though so the excitement was over pretty quick x

ButterscotchBabe · 18/11/2020 19:35

My right sided twinges have now stopped, so hopefully that's because it's made it into the womb! Got bad backache but that's common for me so unfortunately can't use that as a symptom!

@KitQ I was also planning on testing on Tue 24th, we can hold out until then!

@rttcbabyno1 sorry you had a CP on your first cycle, hopefully you can take some comfort in knowing you are able to get pregnant 🙂.

KitQ · 18/11/2020 19:48

@ButterscotchBabe my twinges have also stopped I think but still slight back cramps. Oh man, I’m gonna need your strength. I’m already tempted to test early.

Keeppositivekeepsmiling · 18/11/2020 20:32

Hi everyone, can I join? Im currently 10dpo TTC#1. Long cycles for me so the 2ww always seems forever away but im finally here!! I track using clearblue connected OPK and Ovia app. AF due 22/11. Some symptoms including a dull ache on the lower left side, and really achey boobs! (Not unusual for me for a few days after ovulation but this seems to have carried on!)

Fingers crossed for BFP for us all 🤞

ButterscotchBabe · 18/11/2020 20:39

@KitQ it really doesn't help seeing other ladies get their BFP at 9DPO! But I really don't want to waste a FRER so must wait until 11DPO. We can do it!

Tempusfudgeit · 18/11/2020 21:18

Welcome Keep positive!

My husband has hidden the FRERs. Git.

😂😂

KitQ · 19/11/2020 07:47

Mine are arriving today so I might ask my husband to hide mine too.

Still slightly crampy in lower back. Mostly constipated and gassy (sorry, gang). Could be AF coming (although not due for a week). So nervous.

Memcf2 · 19/11/2020 09:25

8dpo here and so tempted to test but know its far too early. Need to keep going for at least a few more days. X

Tempusfudgeit · 19/11/2020 09:33

7dpo. I got a really faint bfp with my first child at this point, but I'm sure it was a fluke.

Do people find it easier to just not test, or to test and get a negative at this stage?

In other news, woken up with a horrible taste in my mouth and feeling crampy. Fingers crossed!

Hope everyone has a lovely day Flowers

@Tempusfudgeit Last month I felt really disappointed by BFN after convincing myself I had symptoms, so I'm tempted to just wait to see if AF turns up...although, I've literally just found out I have to self-isolate until next Thurs which is day after AF is due so I can't sneak out and get a FRER anyway! Nooo! Grin

ButterscotchBabe · 19/11/2020 10:09

@Tempusfudgeit I haven't tested any earlier than 10DPO in previous cycles, I just tell myself it's so unlikely to be positive that early. Although that's interesting you got a faint BFP at 7DPO, don't tempt us! 😂

@Seasalt1984 you could order a FRER online? Or maybe it's best not to, to stop you testing early??

KitQ · 19/11/2020 10:11

I don’t know how many DPO I am anyway so I’m going for days before AF is due. Sunday is 4 days before so I think I’m gonna test then. Do we think that’s okay?

Tempusfudgeit · 19/11/2020 10:19

Kit, that sounds good. Which test are you using?

OP posts:
Seasalt1984 · 19/11/2020 10:27

@Butterscotchbabe I've got a normal test left over from last month so will keep that on standby just in case! I know it probably sounds really irrational but I feel like I'm jinxing it if I test early...Confused

KitQ · 19/11/2020 10:42

@Tempusfudgeit I’ve ordered the FRER in the pink box. And I think I’ve also got the ultra early clear blue ones. This is my first time so not sure which are good.

Vicki1990 · 19/11/2020 10:44

Morning ladies, 8dpo here and started to cramp so pretty sure af will be on her way early like last cycle Sad
Anyone got any tips on how to lengthen the luteal phase?

Tempusfudgeit · 19/11/2020 10:49

Kit - I've always found the FRER to be the best. I've not see Clearblue ultra early (goes off to investigate).

Seasalt1984 · 19/11/2020 10:59

@Vicki1990 I've heard that vitamin B6 may potentially help lengthening luteal phase if related to hormone imbalance (I think), there's a few mumsnet threads about it

Lemongrass9 · 19/11/2020 11:00

Hi guys!

You can totally resist the temptation to test early! I am 12dpo today and still holding off testing 😬. It is difficult but I feel weirdly proud of myself for resisting 😂.

Vicki1990 · 19/11/2020 11:06

@Seasalt1984 thank you, I've read a few threads about it. Some say b6 some say vitamin c, I'll be buzzing on vitamins this time next month Grin

Seasalt1984 · 19/11/2020 11:20

@Lemongrass9 ah good will power! Wink I've got 6 days until AF due and having the weekend in the middle makes it feel not quite so long! I'm going to try and hold out.

@Vicki1990 lots of vitamins can't be a bad thing Smile Fx your leuteal phase is a bit longer this month x

Lemongrass9 · 19/11/2020 11:56

Yo be honest I’m not too sure where the willpower has come from @Seasalt1984! I think the weekends are so hard to get through but you can do it ☺️.

Just think how nice it will be if you can hold out and if you are pregnant you’ll have an strong line rather than a faint one that causes more confusion - that’s what helps me through. Also try and remember that testing too early is just flushing money down the toilet - literally!

ButterscotchBabe · 19/11/2020 12:32

@Vicki1990 I've been having short luteal phases and this is the first month I've been taking vitamin C, will let you know if it works!

Vicki1990 · 19/11/2020 13:31

@ButterscotchBabe ooh thank you lovely that would be great!
