Anyone been trying for 5 months plus and want to chat?

Going into cycle 6 after AF...feeling deflated! Anyone else been trying for this time and want to chat and keep each other company and positive words!?

Hi @Kirby173 I am good thanks, quite glad the fertile window is over to be honest, I’m knackered! Clue says AF is due on 12th Dec so will try very hard to wait until then to test. How are you feeling?

@Rose2108 I’m trying to stay positive and get excited about Christmas too :) really don’t want to get my hopes up too much for this month.

@Jamill87 sorry to hear about your BFN - as other ladies have said it’s still quite early and I’d try to wait until AF is due if you can. Easier said than done I know!

Hello ladies I’d love to join as starting to feel the pressure on cycle 9. I am 38 almost 39 so I don’t plan to ttc endlessly- will likely be until middle of next year at most. Dp doesn’t have any children and is a good bit younger so I am desperate for it to happen especially for him! We won’t be going for any tests, have agreed to try until mid next year and if it happens we will be very thankful but will accept (but be terribly disappointed) if it doesn’t happen for us. I have two dc from previous marriage (one grown up), dp is a fabulous step dad and deserves this so much but I guess what will be will be.

Currently 7dpo....and a poas addict. This is my crazy week where I find it so difficult to focus on other things. Thankfully work is very busy but soon as I have down time I’m googling everything ttc related. I have been on coq10 for the last month, take conception vits, b complex and b6 as well as evening primrose oil and drink grapefruit juice (for Ewcm) up to ovulation. We have thrown everything at it this month and dtd as much as possible! So hoping for a Christmas bfp!!!

@Jamill87 hey again girl sorry to hear about your BFN :( but keep trying!!! Stil might be early!! Primrose oil - I haven’t noticed anything about my mood but also haven’t been looking out for this! Deffo good for ewcm!

@Rose2108 no problem! That’s so expansive. I just use cheapy OPKs from Amazon and they do the trick you know. They are the premom brand. Have you tried those?

Hey @Loladoodle how are you? Ahhh would be so nice if we all got our Christmas BFPs!! It really sounds like your quite relaxed about the whole TTC as well to be honest and it sounds like you got a good plan to try up until mid next year and then I guess if you want to go for some tests!!

The wait is the worst! After ovulation I try not to go in my app to figure out what dpo I am I just leave it until flo one day pops up and says my period will be here in the next few days. Otherwise I’m just glued to google!! Keep busy!!

Sounds like you got all the vitamins in the bag too! I’ve heard coq10 is meant to be really good too! How long have you been taking it for

@AKcheer I’m not sure about relaxed 😅 but I am definitely more so than I was last time ttc where it really impacted me emotionally. I agree it would be lovely to see lots of bfps on here for Christmas 🎄

I only started q10 a month ago so it’s very early days but I’m going to continue with it with the hope it will help my older eggies! Wish I was as restrained as you... I’m literally counting down the day’s and poas evvvverrry day! 😳

@Loladoodle welcome! This would also be my dps first and he is a bit older than me but it does really make you want it to happen for them doesn't it. He would be an amazing dad.

So the frer order is now arriving today instead of tomorrow. I don't know whether to do one once it arrives (knowing I won't be able to resist) I have saved my morning wee! I am between 13-15 dpo now, will that still be too early?

@Loladoodle Thanks, my only hope is that if I got implantation bleeding in Sunday it might be a few more days to have enough hormones for a positive test. I am not going to test again till Sunday if AF doesn't arrive on Saturday.

Morning @AKcheer I feel a bit better than yesterday although had another bfn this morning, wasn't a frer though just cheap wilko test. Expecting AF to start any day. Was quite crampy last night again and had indigestion last two nights which I never normally get.

@Rose2108 me toooo! I've been working from home full time and I think we have spoiled the kitten so much that she will never be able to handle it when we go back! I did go to the doctor last month and had some bloodwork done yesterday to make sure everything is lining up okay. Im pretty nervous to get those back! I would normally consider this cycle 9 TTC, since we started trying properly in March, but she said she considered those months earlier before we were timing correctly.

I know what you mean about trying consistently. It's so hard with timing and making sure to DTD before the LH tests are positive. What a process!

AF has arrived two days early, obviously wasn't implantation bleeding after all! This has been the hardest AF to take, think I might need a bit of a break from it all :-(

Hi everyone. Can I join? Cycle 5 ttc my first. Got a peak on opks yesterday so almost at the tww. Seem to be having two attempts at ovulation every cycle so I’m really hoping this month is my lucky month as I’ve managed to catch my peak in good time and bd at the right time. Whereas other months I’ve timed bd based on what I thought was ovulation (ewcm high peaks) but missed bding on the second attempt. Does this happen to anyone else? 😩 or is it just my body adjusting to coming off the pill from June?

Hey @Lynne425 how are you? Why do you think you’re already out? Stay positive please! I’ve also been trying for 5/6 months I can’t even remember and it’s hard. I haven’t got any kids but just feel I’m so ready! My boobs have started to hurt too but that’s my number 1 AF is coming so just trying not think about it. It’s hard though being in tier 3 - how busy can I really keep at weekends etc LOL

Hey @Plm28 how are you and happy Friday! Oooh love a good peak. Do you get peaks twice then? Sounds like you’ve done it at the right time!!! I sometimes do OPKs and sometimes I just forget or don’t rely on them. I’ve started doing the whole nhs advice of just bd every couple of days but I mean it hasn’t worked yet lol

@AKcheer I’m good thank you how are you?? Where are you at in your cycle. And is this your first too?

No never two peaks only the second one will result in a peak. The first time I keep getting surges from high to low with all the ovulation symptoms so for the past few months I’ve never timed it right just assumed my peak was there and gone. Then I get symptoms again so do an opk and yeah there it is a nice shiny peak!

So I did the brave thing and spoke to my mum about TTC today. I asked her if she found it easy to conceive and she said 'oh yes pretty much immediately' so after 20 mins of saying how we've been trying for 6 months and we're having tests done to check we're healthy inside etc, my mum says 'oh I think it took us 6-8 months to conceive'...

So I was like WHAT? (she said immediately remember ). Turns out 6-8 months is her perception of immediately whereas for me I just assumed she meant on the first try!

@NatMoz well I guess that’s reassuring as I reach 5 months 🤞 our time is coming

Not that I'll be doing anything as I'm in tier 4 still but good to know the laptop is closed until next week!!

I just feel I'm out as I don't feel anything lol like no changes what so ever!!

I tested this month using opks and managed to bd 3 times in the 48 hours before my peak one so have everything 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

But I'm just feeling nothing..... I know that sounds silly but I thought with AF due Tuesday I might have some crazy symptoms even if they were in my head lol

Hi @JLP256 sorry for taking so long to come back to you! AF is due for me on 12th too how weird! I’m unsure if I’m reading into things again but I’ve had back pain on and off and I’m sure I’ve had cramping today and weird nipple tingles (😂) but I’m trying to say I’m imagining things. I’m only 6DPO so under no illusion it’s too early for anything. I’m going to hold off testing for as long as I can and see how I feel during the rest of the 2ww. I have FRER And loads of them too so I will see how long I can hold out 😂 how are you? Do you have anything going on this month that’s a little unusual?

@Jamill87 aww bless you I’m so sorry. It’s so hard isn’t it?! How are you I hope you’re okay? I guess at least AF arrived early and saved you a few days of false hope and it means your next fertility window will be here sooner but still. How you holding up?

@AKcheer when are you thinking of testing? Also how are you doing aside from been super busy with work?! I got made redundant a couple of month ago but got a new job which I start on 21st so I’m hoping now all the stress of that has gone from last cycle that this one is the one! Not holding my breath though!

Hey @Plm28 so I’m on cycle number 6 TTC my first!! I’m 30 :) I’m currently around 10dpo. Ahh I see. I always try if I can spot the symptoms too like EWCM. Do you use cheapy OPKs?

@NatMoz it’s so refreshing to hear this you know. I was feeling a bit down today because I feel like I’m getting my normal af symptoms today and reading your post made me feel a bit normal again. How many other people do we think when they say straight away it actually means like 6 months!!

Hey @Lynne425 at least you know you’ve covered all grounds!! Do you usually get any AF type symptoms around this time? I’ve heard 0 symptoms are good news you know! A few people on here have had no symptoms and were pregnant.

Hey @Kirby173 how are you girl? I’m ok thanks - I’m tired of being in lockdown. I just want to go to a restaurant eat some food have a few cocktails and live life haha. Oh no sorry you got made redundant but happy you found another job and that’s one element of stress gone!! It’s hard with the current climate! I’m around 10dpo today so it’s that waiting game. Although I always get boob pain before af around this time and had that today so for me this is an AF sign. The usual boob pain in the usual spot.
