Hey girls, who'd have thought we would need another thread!

We welcome other long standers as we have all been ttc for quite while! (All of us about 18 months +)

With the greatest respect, if you are new to ttc, this isn't the thread for you as we are all angry and hormonal 😂😂

@dogmam from memory, his rapid progressive was 9%, with a total motility of 16%, the other 84% either didn’t move or just twitched on the spot I guess 😖

He’s quit smoking since his last analysis, but down on the drinking and started taking supplements. He needs to go for a repeat analysis but trying to book it in is proving problematic.

All other parameters were normal but on the low side of the normal range.

OH thinks that it looks like the quality has improved, but in reality there’s no way of knowing without a second analysis.

dogmam · 13/11/2020 11:06

@grumpsy that's the same as our results, 85% immotility here too! Just waiting on our fertility clinic referral. Sounds like your partner is making some really good lifestyle changes though so hopefully the next analysis should come back with improved results. Did your gp order the 2nd SA or the fertility clinic? Once this lockdown is over I hope appointments can be a little easier to book!

Grumpsy · 13/11/2020 11:12

@dogmam it was gynae that ordered the repeat results. If we don’t get pregnant by next March we’re going to go private for IVF, I’m 32 in December and don’t want to put it off / have an eternal wait to get the ball rolling.

Annny27 · 13/11/2020 18:52

Hi @Grumpsy and welcome xx

So my husband has low morphology (2%) and slightly low count but just under the threshold. But how do you determine motility because we have 4 % values for that?moving fast, moving slowly not progressing and not moving atall.

@dogmam have you tested?? Thats promissing no spotting. I also get spotting from about 12dpo and when I conceived I had 0 spotting. yep AF sucks!! Not sure what will happen in Feb tbh - I still need the dye test and then potentially ivf will be the next step for us i think as its mostly male factor! I am nearly 29 but I started ttc at 27 so feels gutting to still be here waiting!

Annny27 · 13/11/2020 18:53

@grumpsy sorry my message was a bit confusing - his results aren't 4% motility, I mean we have 4 separate percentage results, incase it didn't read well haha ^

OP posts:
Grumpsy · 14/11/2020 07:11

@Annny27 from memory you have 4 grades, A fast progressive, B sluggish progressive, C non progressive motile and D immotile.

You should have 32% at grade A and 40% grade A and B combined. I’ve attached the WHO reference parameters.

Annny27 · 15/11/2020 12:03

Thank you @Grumpsy ! I think my husband has around 38% grade a and 50% grade a and b combined. So his motility seems good fine then! Just the morphology and count wehave to worry about 🤣🤣

So they move well but they have strange shaped heads and tails 🤣🤣

Morning ladies.. a new week and a new cycle for me ☹ AF started yesterday so here we go again.

How is everyone? I'm so tempted to ring the fertility clinic and ask when we should expect to hear from them but I don't want to be a pain. I assume there's a waiting list but thought we would have got a letter just to say they've received our referral.. I might ring them.

Grumpsy · 16/11/2020 10:50

@Annny27 hopefully that can be improved. Have you got him in supplements and off caffeine etc?

@dogmam you and me both. My af came Friday after a very short cycle for me 😞
To be honest I’d ring fertility and just make sure they have your referral. They should be able to give you an idea of timescales too

Missgoldilocks · 16/11/2020 15:44

@Gems7 haven't heard from you ina while chick hoping you're okay and found our thread okay? Xx

Hope everyone is well, my period is due this week, I don't feel it coming but I've had a few cycles like that so I'll be waiting. I'm. Also just waiting for next week for my lap, I honestly can't waaaait to hopefully get some answers x

Sorry to hear you guys periods came :(

EclipseHart · 17/11/2020 10:38

Hi everyone, sorry I have been MIA for a few days. Got all BFNs ends of last week and it was my birthday at the weekend.
Expecting AF to show up today at some point, BFN on free yesterday so definitely out now.

Really hoping AF shows up today as that would return me to a 28 day cycle, last month was very short.

Also, my sister told me a few days ago that she is 12 weeks pregnant with #3. I am happy for her, but so sad for myself 😔 as I had MMC in Sept and our fertility issues mean conceiving is really difficult.

Sorry to read that AF got you @Grumpsy @dogmam xx

EclipseHart · 17/11/2020 10:39

Bfn on FRER*

Annny27 · 19/11/2020 10:01

@Missgoldilocks did AF arrive or ? 🤞 not!

@EclipseHart thats so hard to hear news of close family pregnancies :( I switch off when people talk about babies or their pregnancy in work or with friends as its too difficult but cant really switch off your sister!

@grumpsy yes I have him on supplements and healthy lifestyle ahha!

@dogmam sorry she arrived too :( I am taking this month pretty easy and trying not to do ovulation strips

Yep I miss @gems7 where are you 😭😭😭

Hi girls,
I'm here, I am still watching I'm not doing so great to be honest 😔 and didn't want to be a negative Nancy on your new thread but here goes..
Sperm analysis came back "fine" (although I don't know what the results mean)
I have had lots of blood taken, and had my ultrasound on Monday where he said I will likely need a laparoscopy, he said something about my lining being thick at the top and thin at the bottom (could be from the surgery from my MC he said) but also asked me if I would mind doing a pregnancy test whilst I was there because he was seeing what he thought was the start of a pregnancy ( AF came this morning so likely another chemical)
Still waiting to get my apt through for tubes flushing and to see my consultant to talk through all the results..
but in the meantime my smear has come back showing abnormal cells, so as you can imagine I am just petrified. I have always been up to date with them and my last smear a year ago was normal but now i am so scared that it's going to be bad and I am going to have cancer or that at best they will need to do treatments that will prevent me from TTC. I have a cystoscopy on 8th December and I'm very anxious.
This year has been awful for me, well for us all really hasn't it. I am keen to see the back of it.
Big hugs to all you girls, I hope you are all doing okay. @Missgoldilocks good luck with your laparoscopy, let me know how it is for you
Xxx

Hello girls...I'm in shock @PrettyTulip @Gems7 @Annny27 this happened this morning I could cry my eyes out I am so shocked and so happy I cant believe it we are so happy omg girls it took the longest time but its happened. I am hoping and praying it sticks and I have a healthy pregnancy xxxx

So sorry that you've been feeling down @gems7 but I'm so glad that you are getting somewhere with the tests they can finally help you, and the cells in your cervix if you only had a test last year FINGERS CROSSED hopefully will only be like level 1 and they can get rid of them! both of my friends had this but one had the level where it was nearly cancer, and they both concieved very soon after!! xxxxx hugs

Annny27 · 22/11/2020 09:50

I am cd10 today and I reckon it might be a slightly delayed ovulation as I have 0 signs so far and usually it has started ewcm by this point

Amazing :D @Missgoldilocks are you going to get an early scan? Well we are all rooting for a healthy baby for you!! Have you had any symptoms yet?

@Grumpsy has AF ended now?

@PrettyTulip any closer to getting prescribed ovulation help?

@gems7 thankfully its not too long to wait untill your procedure! So you have to not ttc this month ahead of it?
