Faint bfp or frer indent?

Moominmiss · 09/11/2020 15:14

11dpo. Not fmu.

Came up within time frame. Vvv faint line. Am aware of the notorious indents frer can give so very reluctant to think anything of it yet.

One pic unedited, other has contrast up slightly.

Thoughts?

I can see a line! Looks like it has colour too! Congrats! SmileFlowers

Kay00 · 09/11/2020 15:16

I can certainly see a line, and I would even go as far as to say it looks a little bit pink... provisional congrats!! Grin

Moominmiss · 09/11/2020 16:53

Thank you both, I’d love it if you were both right. I’ll test again tomorrow, it just seems so incredibly faint, hard to imagine it being any darker but 🤞🏻

Also I had nothing show up on a one step internet cheapie. That’s what sort of makes me doubt the frer as with my previous pregnancies the one step ones have always shown as early as the frer. But here’s hoping anyway!

I had a very faint FRER at 11DPO and nothing showed up on an internet cheaply at all, so wouldn't worry too much about that. Also mine was FMU so I would imagine yours would be stronger then too ☺️

spacegirlie · 09/11/2020 19:17

It looks BFP to me lovely 💓🥰🤞🏼

Moominmiss · 10/11/2020 08:31

Well 12dpo today. Temp still high. But line on frer looks no darker so still unsure what to think.
Got a shadow of a line on an internet cheapie that came up in the time limit but it really is only a shadow.
Have attached last nights frer with this mornings frer, and the ic.

@Moominmiss - I see pink in those lines so I wouldn’t say it’s an indent/evap. Also HCG doubles every 48 hours so hopefully tomorrow the line will be a bit more obviously darker. However, I still think it’s a tiny bit darker today x

Moominmiss · 10/11/2020 09:27

Oh god @BriocheBuns I so so hope and pray you’re right. This is my 14th cycle and almost a year to the day I got my bfp that I sadly mc at 9 weeks so would be amazing if I could get this bfp a year on. I’d end up being due almost exactly a year after my original due date.
I darent mention anything to my oh yet. I think IF, and it’s a big if this does become my bfp I’m going to try and get a private scan around 8 weeks and give him the scan pic in a Christmas card. I suspect I’m getting waaaay ahead of myself but 🤞🏻
Thank you. Will update tomorrow xx

@Moominmiss - aw that’s such a beautiful gesture and I pray from my heart that u get to fulfil this gesture.

I had a very early loss in September which was my second, I had decided if the pregnancy got as far as 6ish weeks I’d get a reassurance scan but it didn’t even make it to 4 weeks.

I’m testing early as if I even get a whiff of a BFP I want to start taking aspirin and see if that may help. Hence I’ve been testing since 6dpo 🤣 x

Pumpertrumper · 10/11/2020 09:36

Op that looks positive to me. Mine looked like that and I’m now 8 weeks (confirmed with scan).

I’ve had indents/Evaps on these tests and they’re much fainter than those x

Moominmiss · 10/11/2020 09:48

@BriocheBuns I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. It’s truly heartbreaking. My first loss was in January at 9 weeks, then March at around 5 weeks, and in June at 4 weeks (chemical). All as heartbreaking as each other.
I fear even if af stays away I won’t be able to let myself feel any kind of excitement until I’ve seen a heartbeat on a scan.

I hope you get your bfp, I truly do.
I have some aspirin here, do you think it could be worth me taking a low dose (the ones I have are 75mg), given my 3 losses?

@Pumpertrumper thank you! Congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope with all my heart that this is a true bfp. It will be so cruel if these turn out to be indents

Xx

@Moominmiss hey! I can 💯 see that line, we've spoken a few times on here and I really do have everything crossed for you, I am currently 6 + 1 and I got my bfp exactly a year after my MC!!!! Literally within a day! X

needanewidea · 10/11/2020 09:54

That line's much darker than the line I had on my FRER. It was practically invisible the first day, DP couldn't see it at all. Second day it was marginally more visible, but not nearly as visible as yours. I tested with a different brand then (I forget what now) and got a clearer line.

My "faint line" is off at school now, turns out it was definitely a BFP! Yours certainly looks like one to me. Cautious congratulations! Flowers

BriocheBuns · 10/11/2020 09:56

@Moominmiss - I would give your GP a quick call and ask about the aspirin x

Moominmiss · 10/11/2020 10:38

@AnxiousAnnie86 yes we’ve spoken before! Huge congratulations on you pregnancy, and to have it happen a year after your loss too! Clearly was meant to be ❤️

@needanewidea I think if I was to show my oh (which I won’t) that he’d dismiss it anyway. He thinks if the test line isn’t as dark as the control line then it’s not real. He doesn’t get the ‘a line is a line’ thing.
I hope I will get a positive outcome like you did!

@BriocheBuns I saw Mrs Reddy at the Cotswold fertility clinic back in August (due to the recurrent losses), so I might give her secretary a call and ask for some advice re the aspirin. I’d hate to do something that might cause issues, but equally would be devastated to think I could be doing something to prevent another loss, and didn’t do it.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 10/11/2020 10:53

@Moominmiss I'm sure I can see something on the one step, I did a one step at 14 and it was faint even thought FRER was as dark as control line... but I am sure I can see something on your test! When will you test again? X

Moominmiss · 10/11/2020 11:01

@AnxiousAnnie86 well I have a ton of the one step tests so will probably test again with one of those later on today, and I have 4 frers left. Being a poas addict I want to use one later on, but will probably just try and save it until tomorrow. Then just use a frer a day until I’m out (and then probably buy more)! I have some first vue (Poundland) tests too but they’re not a sensitive I don’t think so am scared to test with those as I know I’ll see a bfn.

I have a clear blue digital weeks indicator too but I know they need a lot more hcg so won’t do that unless I see a proper dark line on frer.

Really hoping for a darker line soon 🤞🏻

AnxiousAnnie86 · 10/11/2020 11:05

@Moominmiss just keep testing! My lines are darker on smu for some reason! I'm still testing everyday! I am panicking too much too stop! Keep us updated! I love line pics! X

Moominmiss · 10/11/2020 11:16

Oh don’t worry @AnxiousAnnie86 if this is my bfp you can bet I’ll test until I’ve used every single test in the house 😂

Once you get that line it’s just so nice to keep seeing it. Plus fading lines was how I picked up my chemicals and I’d rather be prepared if I was going to lose it.

I have everything crossed that your pregnancy goes perfectly. Will you be booking a scan or anything (before the standard nhs one)?

Oh and don’t worry, I’ll keep posting my test pics, good or bad news! If I test later on I’ll post that!

Xx

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 10/11/2020 11:21

@Moominmiss I've used all tests in house and bought another pack of one step!!! I don't know when I will stop! I think it's good to see line getting darker! But now I'm at point where I'm scrutinising it sooo much!

I'm going to book a scan on the 27th Nov privately when I will be 9 weeks ish I think my nhs one will be early Dec too though as going by LMP I am 8 + 3

Could you hold off telling DH till Xmas?! Xx

Moominmiss · 10/11/2020 11:35

Haha, @AnxiousAnnie86 I just know I’d be the same as you, I say I’d stop testing when the tests run out, but in all honestly I know I’d just buy more and keep testing at least until a scan confirms good news!

Oooh so you don’t have too much longer to wait for a private scan!

Did you track your ovulation? Is that why your dates by lmp are 2 weeks different to what you think you are?

I really really really would love to hold off and not tell him until Christmas, but equally I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep it in til then.
I might (assuming this is bfp) book myself a scan for 8 weeks which would be around 10th December, then if all is well, put it in a card and just give him his card early.

The only problem with this is that if I made it to a scan and then got bad news it would be hard to deal with it alone. But I really don’t want to take him to another scan only for him to end up devastated. He came with me to all my scans at the EPU when I was going through my loss at 9 weeks, and it definitely affected him. Xx

AnxiousAnnie86 · 10/11/2020 11:39

@Moominmiss we are doing a private scan one for reassurance I feel ill relax after that... and two because I'm not sure if partners are currently allowed to NHS ones, maybe he would like to go and see baby if nhs isn't allowing? But your idea of surprising sounds so lovely.. xx

Moominmiss · 10/11/2020 11:45

@AnxiousAnnie86 yeah what I would ideally do is first have a private scan to reassure me and confirm things are ok. Then I’ll surprise oh with the pic. Then I’d book again for another private one so oh can come along, because as you say I don’t think the nhs ones are allowing partners yet.

You’ll have to come back and update after your scan! Xx
