Faint bfp or frer indent?

Moominmiss · 09/11/2020 15:14

11dpo. Not fmu.

Came up within time frame. Vvv faint line. Am aware of the notorious indents frer can give so very reluctant to think anything of it yet.

One pic unedited, other has contrast up slightly.

Thoughts?

@Moominmiss ah I'm so excited you're going to tell him!! I cant wait to hear how he reacts ❤❤
Yeah I jsut want to rule out ectopic. My cousin had an ectopic one and luckily they caught it early. So want to go 6-7 weeks just to make sure bean is where it is meant to be. Then it is another thing I can tick off my list not to worry about 🙂 also i only then have 3.5 weeks to wait until the 10 week scan, and then 2/3 weeks later will have my NHS one. So hopefully after that point if all is well I can calm the hell down 😂😂😂

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/11/2020 14:00

@Moominmiss we have twins both sides of family so keep saying I need him to be there in case!!!! Can you imagine after so long trying we end up with twins! I feel rough enough it could be 🤪

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/11/2020 14:02

Has anyone got a preference on whether they have a boy or a girl, I know you shouldn't have but I surely people sway one way 😂

mumof23188 · 12/11/2020 14:15

@Moominmiss such lovely news 😍 I’m anxiously waiting to test again tomorrow morning. I tested again but it was super faint but there. Feeling clueless 😩

AMS19 · 12/11/2020 14:19

@AnxiousAnnie86 totally totally happy with either given it is my first one.... but would secretly love a boy

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/11/2020 14:23

@AMS19 see I always said a boy as we already have my 14 year old, but now I'm kind of swaying girl! Just as we have four nieces and our best friends have two girls! But I don't think I'd care anyway! We know what we would call him if it's a boy too but don't like any of the same girl names except maybe one x

Moominmiss · 12/11/2020 15:16

@AMS19 I’ll let you know what he says when I tell him later, I’m just glad I have the digital and will be able to show I’m that. I think seeing it in words will feel more real for him.
Oh yes, I don’t blame you wanting to rule out ectopic. I totally don’t know what to do now and when to think about getting a scan. There’s a local place not far from me and they do evening appointments so I could pretty much take my pick. But I definitely want to see a heartbeat. Going for the EPU scans and seeing no heartbeat was so traumatic. And I know there’s no guarantee that things will be ok this time but 🤞🏻 I at least want there to be a chance to see one.
So you’ll have a viability one in 2 weeks then another private one at 10? I may do what you’re doing and just book 2, although I might go 6ish weeks (nearer 7), then 8, nearer 9, then the nhs one.
God I hope I make it that far!

Omg @AnxiousAnnie86 can you imagine!!!! Twins!!! I think id be sick right there and then if they told me twins 😂 but would be kind of cool if you were planning more, to get 2 for the price of one 😂

As for a gender preference, well I have 3 girls, so most people would assume I’d like a boy and while that would be my partners preference just because he’s a guy and you know football and boy stuff lol. But I’d be super happy with a girl. I feel a bit would be drowned in all things girly 😂

@mumof23188 update is tomorrow with your test, and don’t panic, mine were so faint for ages, I’m still waiting for my dark line. Hoping I’ll get a better one tomorrow at 15dpo!

@Moominmiss how exciting he has no clue??? Let us know how he reacts, my husband cried when I told him, I never ever expected it I've only seen him cry once before on our wedding day! How you feeling otherwise? Xx

Moominmiss · 12/11/2020 16:03

@AnxiousAnnie86 I definitely will let you know. Although I know 100% he won’t cry. He’s not a very emotional person. Or rather he doesn’t show things. Most probably he’ll be a real kill joy and tell me not to get too excited lol. I know that’s just his way of protecting himself. I think because we’ve never got as far as seeing a healthy baby on a scan, that’s when he’d find it real and actually let himself believe it. But I imagine he’ll be super cautious for now. I know he’ll be happy though! I’m feeling ok otherwise, waves of nausea, lightheaded at times today, and I can feel pulling and stretching when I move. But otherwise ok 🤞🏻

Just did a cheapie as I’ve just got home from work and it’s still faint, so I’m glad I didn’t just rely on that for reassurance this morning!

@Moominmiss my husband isn't emotional
At all!!! He doesn't really talk about it either he's just being cautious but it's a bit of a buzzkill! Every now and then he will say I'm so excited for the scan or something but that's it! The line on the cheapie is still faint but it's deffo darker! I bet your frer looks good tomorrow!!! X

Noshowlomo · 12/11/2020 16:08

So lush @Moominmiss !!

AMS19 · 12/11/2020 16:15

@moominmiss @AnxiousAnnie86 my husband just said well done and fell back to sleep 😂😂😂 he is also being as cautious as I am. Neither of us are thinking of it as a baby. I dont think we will until we go for the later scan

I agree about the heartbeat, that's why I might go 6weeks 5days as there should be one by then. The 10 week one is where I would start to relax a bit more, as from all the research I've done there isn't a huge risk differential between week 10 and week 12....

Moominmiss · 12/11/2020 16:23

@AnxiousAnnie86 I’m really hoping to see a significantly better line on the frer tomorrow, will be super disappointed if it’s not, plus it’s my last one 😂 will probably order one more pack just so I can do a few more progression ones.

@AMS19 that’s exactly how I imagine my oh to be when I tell him 😂 I’ll have to pick my moment and make sure I have his full attention otherwise I’ll get a very half hearted ‘ah that’s great’ then straight back to what he was doing lol.

That’s like me right now, I can’t let myself think of it as a baby at the moment. For now it’s just a positive test that I need confirming. Once I’ve seen (hopefully) a heartbeat then I’ll start allowing myself to relax a little.

So how far along are you now? My apps all go by my lmp date which puts me at 4+3 and a due date of 19th July, but fertility friend calculates it from my ovulation date so gives me a due date of 22nd July and I guess I’d be 4 weeks exactly.
When booking a scan I guess I’ll go from my ovulation date as I want it to be as accurate as possible and not book one too early. So maybe book one for 3 weeks time 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Noshowlomo thank you 🤗❤️

AMS19 · 12/11/2020 16:28

@moominmiss so I think you have two choices, go off ovulation date or the first day of last month period (LMP). I've never heard anyone dating from implantation date?!

Based on O day I am due 19th July and 4+2. Going off LMP im 4+1. The NHS will go off LMP until your first scan with them. I'm going off LMP for now which makes me 4+1. So will be 6+5 on Monday 23rd Nov which i have off work so tempted to do a scan that day if I make it that far?!

AMS19 · 12/11/2020 16:29

Also so based on using LMP my due date is 20th July xx

AMS19 · 12/11/2020 16:29

Ahh I've just realised you were saying LMP! Ha! You are ahead of me!!

mumof23188 · 12/11/2020 16:33

@Moominmiss yes will do. Thank you! I would love to be able to join in on this thread 🤞🤞. How lovely to be able to tell your OH ☺️.

What do you think of my tests from today? Bottom one was FMU and top one was around 11am.

Faint bfp or frer indent?
Moominmiss · 12/11/2020 16:38

@AMS19 sorry yes it looked like I was writing imp rather than LMP lol.
But if I go by my lmp date then that puts me at 4+3 which won’t be right as firstly that puts me slightly ahead for you which is impossible and plus I know when I ovulated. Im tempted (if I get to the point) of a booking in appointment with a midwife, to just tell them my lmp date is 3 days later than what it was. So my lmp was 12th October, but tell them it was the 15th so that hopefully scan dates will be more accurate.

We look like we’d have really close due dates!! Although I know I’ll be having a c section (previous births were all c section) so would actually have the baby about 12 days early. Which is a shame as my mums birthday was 18th July and she passed away nearly 3 years ago so I’d have loved to try and have the baby on her birthday.

@mumof23188 of course you can join this thread!!! We’re dpo buddies 😂

Your tests look great, the bottom one is definitely darker than the top.
When are you next testing?
Will you do a digital? Xx

OP posts:
mumof23188 · 12/11/2020 16:50

@Moominmiss yes we are indeed 🤣

Thank you. I know it’s there atm but I don’t think it will happen. I’m going to test again in the morning. I just want tomorrow to be over with. Been having on and off cramps for days now. I will test with a digital if I get a decent line tomorrow!

What symptoms have you had? X

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/11/2020 16:53

@mumof23188 hey I commented on your other thread! That tests looks impossible to not be positive?! It's this awful stage isn't it you just want an answer!!!!

@Moominmiss I think my due date is July 4th but I'm the same think I would be c section so more like June 20th which is my sister and sisters in laws bday! X

AMS19 · 12/11/2020 16:53

@Moominmiss sorry I was being really stupid!! From what I understand even if you tell them when you ovulate they won't listen and will only adjust once you have had a scan and they have measured. So exciting we are so close! I havent actually asked, where are you and @AnxiousAnnie86 based?

Hi @mumof2388 that definitely looks very decent to me. Congratulations xx

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/11/2020 16:54

@AMS19 yeah I'm same 8+5 but I'm not I'm 6 +4 and they won't change till 12 week scan. I'm from Yorkshire you? X

AMS19 · 12/11/2020 16:59

@AnxiousAnnie86 I'm from London! Xx

Moominmiss · 12/11/2020 17:04

@mumof23188 your line is too pink and obvious for it not to be your bfp. Stay calm, I think tomorrow you’ll get a good line! Don’t worry about the cramps, I’ve been getting them for days too, if I hadn’t had the positives I’d swear af was arriving any minute.

As for symptoms I’ve had waves of nausea and lightheadedness, sore breasts, excess saliva in my mouth, being more thirst than I usual, cramps, and I’ve had a couple of afternoon naps which is unlike me.
Have you had many?

@AnxiousAnnie86 I’d have loved a June baby, may or June would have been my chosen months. Purely because I have so many family birthdays in the other months 😂

@AMS19 yeah that’s why I think I’ll fib and tell the midwife my last period was 15th October instead of 12th, that way they’ll be dating me from what they think is my lmp, but will really be more inline with my ovulation dates.

I’m based near Bristol, how about you? Xx
