Hey!
Wow @Amy00 that looks good to me and you can get pregnant early after a MC so yeah can def not be there yesterday but there today! Whoop whoop keep checking &I'm sure OH will believe it 🤞🏻🌈🙌🏻

@NestinginNL beautiful shot & let's hope you can have a rest for a bit

@Kirky658 that's so food you feel like that after the interview 🤞🏻 and not too long to wait too which is great

@lucyrp sounds about right xx

Chlo2701 · 12/11/2020 15:04

@Vil10 @lucyrp sorry for the late reply! I've literally just caught up from Monday! Took me over an hour 🙈 I'll find the pic of my friends RHR & post it.
@amy2503 I've been trying 18months! Got a BFP end of August then lost it in September. Think I'm going to go to the docs in January & ask for all the basic checks they can do. I'm nearly 36 & my mum went through menopause at 40, so I want the docs to check my egg reserves & progesterone etc

Chlo2701 · 12/11/2020 15:08

@Vil10
My friend sent me this the day she tested positive,
She was 14DPO, you can see her implantation dip at 11DPO.
Her RHR was always so up & down over the months she was tracking, so a dip at 3DPO doesn't mean anything so don't panic x

@Gem176 that's a shame, though like you said you've got a nice space for a lockdown.

@Minster2012 here's hoping you get one!

Franklydear · 12/11/2020 18:06

I am on steroids, looks like a chest infection, good thing I have them at home already, off until I feel like it, but on watching symptoms cos it could be covid...

@Franklydear hope you're okay x

Minster2012 · 12/11/2020 20:04

@Franklydear def weekly appointments then, sending love n hugs llama 🥒chillax

I'm on a major 'can't be arsed to move tonight' and there may have been chocolate close by. Not good. However, on one of my Facebook groups I've seen something truly heart warming, a couple sending their last foster child (a little girl about 5) off to a new adoptive home & they now retire...she was their 110th foster child. How amazing is that? It made me a little teary 🥰

Gem176 · 12/11/2020 20:20

@Newbie0818 positives far outweigh any negatives and there will be plenty chances to make local friends when we get back to some sort of normality

@Franklydear everything crossed it isn't Covid and that you are back fighting fit in no time.

@Kirky658 go you!! It's so nice when you feel good after an interview!

@Minster2012 teared up reading that! I know my chances of conceiving are lower thanks to diabetes and don't think I could handle the iui/ivf route (knowing OH definitely couldn't handle it as he has said no already) and have always said if this doesn't work I want to foster. A friend from schools mum fostered little children, she is well over 300 at this point and I just admire her so much! We have the space to take on several children at once and I'd try for siblings to keep them together. Can't bear the thought of children being split up 😢

notyetamumbuttrying · 12/11/2020 20:36

Just popping on to provide your end of week memes 😁 period themed this time as running out of fertility ones now 😂

@lucyrp glad you got your bloods back Lucy!
@Franklydear hope you feel better soon x
@Gem176 @Minster2012 fostering is amazing! My parents were rest-bite foster carers for a few years to teenagers and tweens. They both still worked full time so ended up proving too much for them in the end. They did so well with it though, anything someone can do to help is great isn't it.

Newbie0818 · 12/11/2020 20:50

@Franklydear oh dear, is it worth getting a Covid test done?

@Minster2012 110?! That's amazing. So sweet.

@Gem176 that's good :)

God I feel rough as hell. We've got to keep all windows and doors open whilst teaching now and after spending the week FREEZING 🥶 it's finally caught up with me, officially getting a cold. In the horrible tired and achy stage now :( not optimum conditions for a miraculous fertilised eggo

Minster2012 · 12/11/2020 20:56

@notyetamumbuttrying & @Gem176 it's so lovely, and @Gem176 that's fantastic! It hurts me a little as when we first got told about my treatment having put my cancer into remission but the likely effects on my fertility & how we would have to use surrogacy even if we could get our embryos we firstly looked into adoption. And so many ppl said to us (as a lot of infertile couples find ppl saying...) "why can't you JUST adopt?" We could also have taken 2 children or more, & are in one of the areas in the uk with the highest amount of children needing homes...we even discussed one particular set of siblings of 4 children, But after 6 months of meetings we found out a prospective parent with "a life limiting disease" isn't allowed to adopt. My DH could have done without me, but married to me he couldn't, we couldn't. As it can potentially affect the children if someone is ill. We were heartbroken as it could happen to any family at any time & I had beaten cancer...we have a large home, both sets of parents close by along with friends & more family let alone DH running a business he can manage how he wants with (in theory) me being able to dip in how I want. But no.

So surrogacy or failure it was. It still frustrates me, so much love to give 😫❤️

Gem176 · 12/11/2020 21:33

@Minster2012 before having dd I always said I'd adopt. I have a personal gripe with people who use the "just adopt" card with couples with fertility issues. I don't think they realise how complicated adoption is or how much of a personal choice it is. Long story, bear with me. At 20 my brothers girlfriend developed ovarian cysts that were cancerous. She had the cyst removed and was told at 20 years old she would have to have a full hysterectomy by 25 at the latest. She was told if you want children do it sooner rather than later... start trying now basically (at 20, in the middle of a degree with no immediate plans for a family). The other option was to freeze fertilised eggs (any further treatments for cancer could have impacted fertility) so at 20 she would have had to make a decision on who the father or her future children would be and my brother potentially would have been the father to children that he may no longer be involved with the mother of. If that make sense, they were only 20, no guarantees they'd have been together in 5/10 years time. Horrible decisions to have to make. So many people said oh you can just adopt. My brother was very honest and said it wasn't for him as he wasn't sure he would love an adopted child. We are all different and men aren't blessed with the "maternal instinct" that makes me want to love and care for any child. I can't watch comic relief as I just cry my eyes out! Sadly it never came to making any of these decisions as at her 3 month check it had returned, surgery, followed by more aggressive surgery as it began to spread resulted in us losing that darling girl at 21.

Franklydear · 12/11/2020 21:47

@Newbie0818 yes, it is, specially as I started coughing more, I am still knackered and still in bed, possibly tomorrow too, thank you all, your well wishes mean a lot to me

amy2503 · 12/11/2020 22:00
@amy2503 I am currently going into month 16 of ttc 🥺☹️ how many months in are you ? Xx
@lucyrp @Newbie0818 @Juno231

Wow, suddenly I don't feel quite so alone... I'm on cycle 9 or 10 I think... can't quite work it out as not sure how long the pill took to be out of my system. I thought I was the only one who hadn't conceived within 6 months. I should have ovulated yesterday so just finishing my fertile period.... now the dreaded TWW again 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

blodyn91 · 12/11/2020 22:07

@Gem176 thats incredibly sad 😭😭 21!
Hope your brother coped with it. That's a young age to take all that on.

Skip86 · 12/11/2020 22:13

@Gem176 oh my god, your story 💔 so young, so heartbreaking. What a difficult position for your brother to be in too xx

Juno231 · 12/11/2020 22:22

@amy2503 hey we're cycle buddies as well as I ovulated yesterday :)

@Gem176 jesus gem your poor brother ❤️ what a horribly sad story 😞

@Franklydear hope you feel better! And manage to avoid the dreaded covid test x

@Gem176 oh what a sad story! I was reading and thinking there must be a happy ending. Has your brother recovered?

@Minster2012 I feel like that about the "just adopt" thing too. I always thought we'd foster or adopt but I know way too many heartbreak stories about failed adoptions where they fostered first, bonded with the children, then were rejected for petty and arbitrary reasons and the child who had become family for 1+ years was taken away and given to someone else. Heartbreaking. I tried for over a year to rescue a dog before we got the puppy and got far too invested in just that! Not sure I could cope with a child. On a similar note to your story, when I was a child we had a family friend who had survived cancer but could no longer have children because of it. She and her husband tried for years to adopt, finally managed to adopt two brothers, 5 and 7 I think. Six months after they'd adopted them, the cancer came back and killed her. It was awful. I'm wondering if what you encountered was a new rule? Or maybe she hadn't had a terminal diagnosis. Anyway. Just reminded me of that 😞
