Hi, I'm back after not been in for almost a month. I felt so down after AF arrived last month that I weirdly went from checking this thread at least twice daily to avoiding Mumsnet all together. AF is due Wednesday and if she makes an appearance I'm determined bit to go off feeling sorry for myself for another month.

I don't have any tests in the house so my plan is if AF hasn't arrived by Wednesday morning then I'll go and buy a test after work and test Thursday morning. I'd much rather see a negative test than AF since the bitch has caught me off guard the last 2 months but I can't keep wasting my money on tests.

I'm desperately trying not to symptom spot but I've felt nauseous all day today. I didn't get any mornibgbg sickness with DD though so I'm probably just overthinking it and setting myself up for disappointment again.

@Kirkby658 Yes! I can completely relate to CBA with sex after FW. We had 10 days of sex and then I think we've only DTD once, maybe twice since then 😂. If he wasn't so knackered by it all I think DH would feel used.

@SmileyT oh that's really good that you have a name. I'm like you in that I wouldn't want to tell anyone but not because I'm superstitious, it's more that I don't want peoples opinions on names we really like. DH and I started talking names during the pregnancy and the only we agreed on was the fact that we disagreed on all the names for either gender 🙈 so when we do like the same name we don't need anyone else putting us off it haha.

I of course have a name that it pretty much set in stone for if we have a boy when I finally get my BFP and I told my best friend months ago maybe years ago and she's been with her boyfriend for 6 months if that and has decided she wants a baby and that's what she's going to call it ... my name ... now I'm desperate to get pregnant first 😫

@SmileyT & @Sausage1990 I'm with with you on the name. 100% don't say it too born. We didn't. Our families have strong opinions and we didn't want their opinions. So did exactly the same for DS. DH & I had quite different opinions on names, we agreed on a girls name but found out he was a boy. Couldn't agree. He liked traditional names which I think are "boring" (James...yawn) I like quite unusual names (Kit) a shortening of his) and Beauden. The only one we could agree on is a name that may not technically be a "name" but it was the only boys "name we could agree on" after weeks of going round in circles for various reasons (my best friend who carried him having a son with the "full name so we wouldn't use that EVER, my brother being called Alec /sp we would use the full name, DH's cousin being called full name but called "Sandy") but we like Xander. So our son is just Xander. Hence the X on the pumpkin. We say it like "Zanda" and sometimes say "Zand" or "Xand" but usually "Xander". The AMOUNT of names I got thrown at me was unreal. Just keep it to yourselves and ppl will always say "I can't imagine him as anything else" ❤️😊and we don't care what they think 😂

I told her our name for a boy and then she turned round 6 months later and said she was pregnant and that was going to be her boys name 🙈 she had a beautiful girl so she didn't use it in the end but I know they were thinking about another baby (already have 2). Well ladies my night hasn't ended well. Laid in spare room bed after DH & I had a fight. I'm still seething, he's asleep in our bed. F ING men. How can they do that?? I'm raging. My work is inconsequential. Well now I'm furloughed (see upthread) I should do f all. But course "my work" Also involves things like meal planning, weekly shopping, dog walking twice a day, house sorting/cleaning/admin general "life" shit that first with being a grown up with a child too as well as working with him 2 days a week at least & on call the rest of the time. That doesn't get stopped with furlough. But it's not as hard or important as his work. 🤬honestly my boss is a 🍆

Hey @Clairey844 do you just take iron when you are on? Not sure what you take, but my understanding is it takes long term, regular iron in tablet form to have an effect? If you're struggling with your blood loss and are iron deficient perhaps talk to gp about having daily dose? Ps your message about your period gave me lols 😂

@Skip86 i usually just take iron supplements when I'm on and OH says I look pale ha ha, but that's a good point about them needing to build up to work-I never take them for long enough to get black poo 😂😂 so guess I should take them all the time, must just be a placebo effect lol but i take them for few days and feel better, probably because by then my flow has eased up🤦🏻‍♀️

Ladies why are men such tw*ts. DS went to his dads yesterday for the day while I was at work and he brought him back about half hour after I got home. He was absolutely soaking wet, he'd taken wellies but apparnerly he allowed him to go in a stream on a walk up and over the top of his wellies so the water then soaked all up his joggers, then they went for an hour long walk whilst soaking wet ...Showered him and got him changed straight away and he sat wrapped up in a blanket and his dressing gown until hed and he's woken up this morning with a bad cough and the sniffles. Mine has been pretty light this time since I came off the pill and a lot of short cycles but this cycle was 28 days and have had a decently heavy period so think that is a good sign I'm getting more impregnateable🤞😀

@Minster2012 I was so angry when she announced it at the time, even OH was (which made me feel a bit better tbh). Kept getting told by other people I was being silly though as I wasn't pregnant so didn't have a say. Omg I HATE it when OHs say crap like that, like he'd even be able do half of what he does without you everything to keep things running at home!!
