No eating out, no cocktails, no socialising... I’m hoping that the dreaded lock down month will be the month we get lucky. Anyone else care to join me? Smile

I'll join if that is alright. We are hoping to start trying again in the next couple of weeks after another MMC.

1992EM · 01/11/2020 22:01

I would love to join. I am on Scotland so not in a lockdown yet but no doubt will be soon as we are a level 3 area. How long have you been ttc for? X

2021hopeful · 01/11/2020 22:09

@sakuramiyagi So sorry to hear about you MMC. How are you doing?

@1992EM No doubt you’ll be joining us soon for another lockdown! Confused

November will be my 6th month of TTC. I had a late miscarriage just before the last lockdown in March. Sad

Really hoping it happens for us all soon, and being stuck at home there’s not much else to do!

@sakuramiyagi So sorry to hear about you MMC. Fingers crossed you get your rainbow baby soon.

@2021hopeful sorry about your miscarriage. I hope you get your BFP soon . I am heading into my 7th cycle. No luck so far . We started ttc in May. I am just hoping it happens before Christmas.

sakuramiyagi · 01/11/2020 22:23

@2021hopeful I think I am hanging in there, definitely having my moments.

I'm so sorry for your loss. How are you doing?

@1992EM I'm in Scotland too but don't doubt we will be in lockdown shortly.

1992EM · 01/11/2020 22:25

@sakuramiyagi No doubt . Hopefully doesn't last as long as the last one. X

lastbany · 01/11/2020 22:31

I agree!! We have upped the baby making this month apparently 2 days po so finges crossed!

2021hopeful · 02/11/2020 06:32

Thank you. It’s been a tough year for sure.Sad

Really hoping for a BFP before Christmas. Is anyone doing anything different this month? We’ve been using OPK’s and DTD a lot during the main week but after reading some advice on here, people recommend every other day throughout the month. Going to give that a try this month.
It’s hard because I got pregnant the first month of trying with my son (this time last year) and really couldn’t believe my luck. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be though. I’m late 30’s so panicking it won’t happen again for us.

I’m also planning on losing a stone in November’s so atleast I’m heading towards a healthier weight. I spent much of the last lockdown drowning my sorrows with nice food and wine! Blush

@lastbany Good luck. The 2 week wait is a killer isn’t it? Got everything crossed for you.

@2021hopeful it is! I have a 10 mo baby so she keeps me sooo busy along with my older kids so it makes it easier this will be number 4 and last!

Toastedsesame · 02/11/2020 09:48

Can I join? We've just decided to "be less careful and see what happens" 😂 so naturally I am obsessing and have bought OPK's. We have a 3 year old. Originally planned to TTC number 2 in spring this year, but decided to wait. I'm 34 so we don't want to delay any further.

Pretty sure I'm ovulating today. We DTD last night 🤞

kirinm · 02/11/2020 11:14

Hi - month 8 or 9 (have lost count) and really hoping this is our month.

crabette · 02/11/2020 15:55

@2021hopeful Sorry for your MC :( Really hoping for a BFP before Christmas here too - even if it's super early, at least can tell our parents and maybe spread a bit of cheer for the immediate immediate family, since we're unlikely to have a normal Christmas!

@1992EM Also Scotland Level 3 area, and I'm sure we'll follow pretty quickly into lockdown too. @sakuramiyagi - I'm really sorry for your loss as well :(

crabette · 02/11/2020 15:57

I feel like I'm out of sync with everyone on all these threads - AF / CD1 due for me 9th Nov. Have you all already started your November cycle?

sakuramiyagi · 02/11/2020 16:26

@crabette I'm still recovering from the MMC, so not sure what is going to happen with my cycle at the moment.

I'm dreading the OPKs again, I find them so depressing.

upschittscreek · 02/11/2020 18:01

Hi,

Hope it's ok to join? Like @Toastedsesame we're going for the "be less careful and see what happens" approach Grin although this would be our first so I really have no idea what I'm doing tbh! I use the Flo app but think we'll just take it easy for a while and maybe look at OPKs in the new year.

Any recommendations on which of the cheap pregnancy tests from amazon and the like are decent??

Good luck everybody! SmileThanks

Toastedsesame · 02/11/2020 18:47

@upschittscreek hi! How exciting for you. Do you have regular cycles?

One step are cheap, but a little bit unpredictable. Easy @ home are supposed to be good and wondfo, that's what I've ordered this time! Frer are the best for using once you've seen a line on a cheapie!

upschittscreek · 02/11/2020 19:09

@Toastedsesame hi! Cycles tend to be 29-32 days so fairly regular I think, but not the bang on 28 days some folk have. I always have slight pains around the time that Flo thinks I'm ovulating so I'm hoping it is accurate. Nervy times ahead ShockGrin

Toastedsesame · 02/11/2020 19:46

@upschittscreek that's good! Makes it slightly easier to track when you get ovulation pains - I get them too, I never used to but after having my son they are loud and clear! We conceived first time round last pregnancy, but I think it's going to be a longer road this time as I have an autoimmune disease that can affect fertility and my cycles are all over the place. Range from 26 - 37 days.

I'm almost certain I ovulated today as had pains yesterday, headache and ewcm.

1992EM · 02/11/2020 22:29

@crabette Definitely think we are heading that way 😔 . It won't affect my job or my partners. Just all the fun stuff you get to do 🙈. I am on cycle day 7 and won't ovulate until around cd16 to 18. I have 31 day cycles usually.

@upschittscreek I use flo too and find it pretty accurate. My cycles are usually 31 days but since ttc i have had a 35 day cycle and a 28 day cycle . the rest have been 31. I use one step opks throughout my cycle and then cb opks to confirm ovulation.
@kirinm Good luck, I hope you get your BFP. are you using opks or anything different this month?

Is anyone doing anything different this month? I have looked up maca root and it is supposed to help fertility so I have started taking that with seven seas and a stronger folic acid ( I have low b12 which I get injections for ). I also use opks and flo to track my cycle. Good luck to everyone in their tww.

SJ789 · 03/11/2020 13:10

Hello all

May I join too please Smile

Been ttc since beginning of June with no joy so far and wonder if anyone else has experienced the same - basically came off the pill in April, had withdrawal bleed as normal but then nothing for I think about 140ish days. Since then I've only had a couple of periods varying cycle lengths, one 40 days the other just 18 days so very confusing! Currently on cd31 with no hint of AF being on her way, I can't be sure I've ovulated I've tried measuring my bbt but that isn't making it clear so I have now bought some opks to try instead, it's just very hard to know when to start using them as I don't seem to have a consistent cycle length! CM is giving me no clues either as I have noticed a little ewcm on random days for a couple of weeks now Blush

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Wishing you all luck in your ttc journeys! X

Toastedsesame · 03/11/2020 14:16

@SJ789 Hi! Sounds like very irregular cycles, I know that can be the case straight after coming off the pill, but if it was back in June I'd perhaps schedule a chat with your GP? Can you remember what cycles were like before you took the pill?

With the opks might be worth stocking up on some cheapies to use once a day until you start seeing results, then you can narrow it down? i'm surprised to learn that I ovulated on cd10 this month, when I always thought it was cd18!

SJ789 · 03/11/2020 14:35

@Toastedsesame Hi thank you for your reply!

Sadly my GP surgery is not the best 😔 so I have been putting off contacting them! I think if I'm still the same by January then I will have to.

Yes I think you're right with the opks, I got a job lot off Amazon about 50 I think so I will start using them every day until I get results! Wow that is quite a difference in when you thought you ovulated to when you actually did! Fingers crossed for you! X

SJ789 · 03/11/2020 14:39

@Toastedsesame oops also forgot to say I don't really remember what my cycles were before being on the pill, unfortunately I've been on it for so long (over 10 years with no real breaks other than a month or so here and there). As a teenager I think they were a little sporadic but not as much as this. Really wish I'd been told how much they could affect your cycle later in life! X

jessi60 · 03/11/2020 14:45

Hi guys, hoping it’s okay to join. My first month also. Only been off hormonal contraction for 23 days. Had a withdrawal bleed 5 days afterwards. No idea if I ovulated this month or not. No sign of a period Yet either Xxx
