9dpo for me and 9th day self isolating as 8 out of 10 of my colleagues have the marvellous Covid. So it’s been an awful tww. I have a horrific bad head today which is making me feel very s*#t hoping it’s a good sign though. Just want a bfp now x

Oh @Runnergirl1 that's awful! Tww and isolating, hard on the head that. Hope you get your bfp at the end of it.

Has anyone had a period 20 days after their last? My spotting that's been coming and going every other day since CD12 has become more like the start of AF today and I have some mild cramping. My cycles average 27 days, but vary between 25-29 days in length. 20 seems a bit soon?? 😕

I have been feeling pretty stressed this week so I do think it might be screwing things up...

@Kirky658 there's nothing wrong with hoping for a baby around a certain time, it's only natural isn't it🤷‍♀️doesn't mean you would be disappointed if it happened any other time.

@AmesK DH can come round. Do you know we had our DS through surrogacy to my best friend? So IVF to her. This was the best scenario, DH asked me to marry him thinking we wouldn't have kids so for it actually to be able to happen you'd have thought he would have been over the moon...we fought for 2 years to get it sorted...then outside the clinic before our big appointment to sign the paperwork at our IVF clinic my DH had a meltdown in the car & said "I don't want a baby LIKE THIS". Well, if you want a baby, & you want it with me (assume you do seeing as you married me & we've had numerous discussions about this to get to this point) the THIS is how it has to happen. Plus it's not a given anyway. Do you think I want someone else to carry MY BABY? No, but I want to TRY to have a baby. So buck up.

He was just very scared, it was all becoming real & he was worried it might show he might have an issue too (as he hadn't done sperm analysis at that point). So it could be because of that. But you haven't reached that point yet, it's all hypothetical it's just introducing the idea, & saying "we will try". The first step is the doctors for the tests and that all takes time during which you can try & talk more xxxxx

@2020mission yes I've had a 20 day cycle, I've even had an 28 day cycle 🙄 it is normal though I think anything less than 21 is considered outside the normal range sorry.

@Minster2012 Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for always being so bloody supportive and reassuring and knowing just how to buck me up! And thank you for sharing this with me because I just didn’t know whether there was something wrong with me and that’s why DH is acting this way. Maybe he blames me? I feel inadequate and maybe he feels that way too and would rather just not get involved anymore, I don’t know.

But your story has given me a lot of hope! I’m really sorry it was a tough situation for you and I didn’t know about the whole surrogacy side of things, you’re very brave and very inspirational to keep fighting and I’m so so so happy that you got your lovely outcome!

You genuinely have no idea how much this has meant! I shall continue to try and talk to him about this and we shall see where it goes :) Sending you lots of love 💓 xxxxx

Thanks @Katao @Franklydear I just used a cheapie test just to make sure it's nothing pregnancy related and it was negative as expected. It's definitely more than spotting and a bit of cramps. 🙄 absolutely fed up with my body messing me around. Working my way through a bar of chocolate now to cheer myself up! Some good news at least is the upstairs flat told us a plumber has sorted the problem in their bathroom so at least no more leaking will be happening 😅

TMI/gross question alert
I finished my period yesterday afternoon, I thought completely, dtd this morning, and back to spotting only on paper, no knickers, did I dtd too early? We don’t normally for a few days after...
@2020mission great news on the bathroom front, I would also have test just in case, chocolate is a good answer

@franklydear I'm not sure if it's normal or not, but I always get this without fail every month as if my body hadn't quite finished!

@Franklydear that happens to me... you think AF is finished and DTD but I think it's because there was some left over up there. My husband is always keen to ASAP after having 5 days of no action but I warn him I can't guarantee there won't be anything even though it seems clear 😆

@Kirky658 god I hope so. We're also far away from family, all 2hrs away in different directions 😫 will be moving closer to them though. Well, not me as my dad and siblings live in another country.

@AmesK it is possible as some people mistake implantation bleeding for a period. It can be heavy too, but that's uncommon.
What was his reasoning for not wanting to do ivf? That's awful!

really not looking forward to work in lockdown tomorrow ladies. going to end up either painting or cleaning. neither of which are my normal job 😫

@lucyrp that’s bit fare, we had to spent a day at work closed, safety engineer coming in, we did nothing and actually had a fab day, but I was with boy boss and bestie boy🤪 they are both the silliest

@Franklydear i've got to pretend i'm busy doing nothing for the next two weeks so the big managers continue to pay us. for doing f all really even tho we're only supposed to go into work if essential. doesn't make any sense. they didn't listen last time either

@lucyrp do you have any training you can spend ages reading? Preferably in an electronic device so you can mumsnet instead?

@2020mission I'm sorry i just re read my reply to you and i was so unclear 🙈 i meant to say it is not normal. Gp said it was a sign that progesterone was low which leads to bleeding. I don't say this to be negative, just think it could be something to ask your gp about as you have had a couple of cps too haven't you? I had 21 day bloods twice. The first one showed low progesterone and that ended up being a 22 day cycle. The next bloods showed normal progesterone and that was a 25 day cycle. I mean I don't even know whats going on with me but just said I'd mention it in case its useful.

@Franklydear i do have loads of training to do on the computer, 19 courses to be precise. but its whether i get told what to do or i have the choice 🤷🏼‍♀️🤞🏼
