And so funny you're talking about front doors - I'm painting the reno house one today! I'll show you the door and paint I chose yesterday. The lady at the paint shop thought I was wacko for wanting it super dark!

I'm quietly taking a seat towards the back of the bus at the moment, waiting for my post-miscarriage bleed to end & hopefully get the negative test I need next Friday... Then the 4-6 week wait begins for my cycle to come back (probably longer because I have a 5 week cycle normally anyway). Realistically I'm probably looking at mid-January before we can try again so I'll be joining @minster2012 in the long wait for the next testing window.

I've been enjoying the home reno chat. We did our house up when we bought it in 2017, it had alot of work to do as its an old house (1900's) and hadn't been well looked after. The only part we didn't renovate was the kitchen/conservatory & utility room so that's our project atm. We're still in the planning & remortgaging stage (all delayed because of bloody covid) but I'm already so excited for it to be done. I can't wait to get a new kitchen 😊 and have an actual functional utility room! The things you get excited about as you get older hahaha

I've also added a photo of my front door. I can't remember who was looking at new doors but ours is composite and it was one of my favourite new additions to the hoaue when we did reno part 1 😂💕

@sausage1990 I'm currently 4 wks post d&c my cycle is normally 30day cycle so hoping it shows soon but think it will be another wk or so. Once I get before 31st I'll be happy. That gives us 2 chances for a bfp for xmas. Maybe I'll get our bfp on new yrs eve, start 2021 on the right foot (plus our anniversary)

@Vil10 i'm not really sure what happened but all i know is i was only getting paid about £5.30 an hour to do a course i already had a qualification in for half the money i was on at my previous job ! £600 a month is not enough to live on especially when you have a child. omg thag sounds really interesting! my mum used to run a nursery when i was younger, she's either worked as a teaching assistant or head of a nursery etc. i didn't go down thag route. i always wanted to be a primary teacher until i realised at the age of 14 i'm not a very patient person so decided against that😂😂

@Sausage1990 the thing i'm excited about most when we buy is having a utility room! that's my dream. big cupboard for all my cleaning stuff, another big cupboard for coats and shoes 😍 🤣

No extra hour in bed for us this am! I think because it was lighter this am due to the clocks changing the pup was awake at 0630 howling for his brekkie... Looks like an early 10k run for me then!

On another note, finished AF yesterday and DH and I actually had sex without it being about baby making for once!!

And actually @Sausage1990 your house looks a lot like the one I'm moving in to on Friday 🙊. Except ours still has a second front door in that space but we're planning on removing it and creating a little porch/portico area (whatever you call it) like you've got. 1900s and needs complete reno! I even have a loo in the "sunroom" lol.

Tell me - with your door I've got two questions: do the little windows not let in the cold and does it bother you that if someone rings on your door they can see that you're in through those windows? I'm asking cause OH probably wants a door just like yours and I'm not familiar with them at all!

OK girls, I caved this morning at 11DPO and it's an BFN. I cried a fair bit yesterday about OH not really bothering /sharing the mental load on TTC. When I spoke to him about it yday morning he said it's fine, he could still take care of himself that day but he never did. When I mentioned it in the evening I got met with a SIGH and nothing more, he won't even speak about it. So here I am, devastated each month that I get another BFN and he can't even do one thing properly to help us conceive.

@Vil10 I have been looking at a similar style to yours but in a light green colour. But we have a whole house to renovate so keeping us busy at the moment.

@Skip86 that door looks fab wondering whether we should paint ours to save some money since the rest of the house is in need of work also. The latest issue is electrics so currently trying to get them sorted.

@Juno231 thanks for the new thread and just wanted to say what an amazing lady you are for keeping up with us all!! I don’t know how you do it.

@Juno231 so sorry to hear about your BFN but your not out yet if your only 11dpo. Sorry to hear OH is not being helpful.

Morning! We were quite lucky with the clock change this morning, we kept DS up a bit later after wearing him out & he slept until just before 7.

Thank you @Skip86 damn deleting message! And @Katao I just read your message again from last night & you are absolutely right it's cos I'm reliable & boring & always there & don't flit in & out he doesn't have to be all over me 🙄. I do always tell him when daddy will be back but in the weekday mornings he goes before he's awake but if he's awake & DH if goes anywhere he says goodbye then DH literally runs after him, doing the comedy on the floor holding round his leg pulling him on the floor screaming or if he's closed the door he will pound the door screaming (after I've locked it as it goes onto a road very close) then collapse on the floor screaming for 15mins so I'm left with a whole heap of mess 🤷‍♀️even if it's just for a run

On the front door I will post a pic of mine tomorrow but think the colour of @Skip86 but just huge block of painted dark wood and no fancy windows 😂

I'm loving all the door pics! I honestly can't wait until we can buy a house. That's another thing that's shit about my life atm lol. Since Covid they took away the 5% deposit and that's totally fucked us over. It's so frustrating because we have a lot of friends who now have bought their houses because they either got parental contributions or have lived at home since uni. Meanwhile, we have no choice but to pay astronomical rent prices because we don't have any other option! Feel like we'll never get anywhere with anything 😒 sorry to be a Debbie downer.
Also, can someone please magic this rain away! Mentally I can't cope with shorty weather!

@lucyrp that's good! Hopefully they're a sure indication of a good progesterone rise after ov. And don't forget cramps can happen at the beginning, during or after ov so as long as you felt something it should be good :)

@Katao I'm a bit older now so that's worrying me.

What I found really worked was using the thermometer and pin pointing exact ovulation.

@newbie0818 I know how you feel about the house situation in a way, DH and I spent the 6 years we've been together saving saving saving and luckily bought a house in February and put the offer in. It then stalled stalled stalled meanwhile we were renting living an hour away from family during lockdown... Eventually it all went through and we exchanged and completed in June. Nightmare wait though thinking it was going to fall through. I think the govt are looking at bringing 5% mortgages back so I'm really hoping for some good news for you! X

@DJmum83 I haven't got into temping but I find it fascinating. I didn't even use opks this month just to give my head a break. Well I randomly did one cd14 and cd17, don't ask me why 😂 poas urge.

@Kirky658 I used to run a lot but got a knackered knee (skiing accident on honeymoon, a story on another thread comedy mr bean style going into barriers buggered me up!) it's really good you've finally got your house, I think it's awful how ppl pay such high rent which would be higher than a mortgage but it's cos of the lack of a deposit 😩I'm really fortunate to have got on the ladder young (that whole parents drilling savings in young thing) & annoyingly I had sold my house when I got diagnosed with cancer so had no critical illness cover but again...that's another story 😂

@lucyrp that's awful!! How can people get away with doing that! No definitely not enough to live off!! So glad you got out of it!! I do love it, she's had the business now for 20 years and it's got an amazing reputation and not to be big headed or anything, but I love bigging up my mum, but it's like the place to go in our area, she's done such a good job with it! Hahahha so many people do that!! My sister did primary education at uni and when she finished her placements and graduated decided she couldn't stand all the patience that was needed so went I to secondary instead😂

@Florence13 I love that colour!! Do you know about that frenchic paint?? You can literally paint anything with it, they have a light green colour called wise old sage and it's lovely!!

@Juno231 so sorry about the bfn and OH not being as supportive as you'd like!! Maybe he's nervous for the results so a bit apprehensive? I know how frustrating it is when they don't communicate though!

@Newbie0818 im hoping so! it was about two days before the ovulation date my apps predicted so hopefully 😬🤞🏼 on the house front i'm with you. i've not lived at home since i was about 16 so have had to pay rent or some sort of bills since then so never had the chance to really save. wish i had but can't do anything about that now ! hopefully be able to start saving lots next year, we will have about £600 free each month so!

@Juno231 sorry for the bfn and so frustrating dh, mine doesn’t talk either and it looks like he couldn’t care any less, but fw is the only time dtd midweek happens, and he’s very aware when af is due, even without me mentioning anything, so as the Spanish saying goes : la procesion va por dentro.

Last cycle update for a while, cd 4, no bleeding at all, and dtd has started back already, now to stop thinking about it till min November

also i was just wondering about the "up suck" we talk about often when orgasming ... does no one else actually come as such when they have sex ? surely that's bad as it may expel the sperm as you end up kind of pushing outwards ?!🤣

@Juno231 sorry your test was negative 👎🏻 it seems most of us find our OH don't seem as invested or bothered as we do with the TTC malarkey. I might be wrong but do you think he's worried if he releases some in the days before the SA he will be depositing a smaller amount or unable to provide a sample at all? I can tell when I mention the possibility of having a semen analysis to my husband the reluctance and fear in being tested. Yours might be hiding his worries. Completely understand your frustration though!

I've had a nightmare of a Saturday and as soon as I finished dinner and sat down with my wine I heard water in the roof and within 5 minutes we had a bucket down in the living room, bedroom and bathroom as the flat above ran a bath and it was leaking in 😔 @Newbie0818 I completely agree renting absolutely sucks. We were stuck with no help as we rent too.
