Hello!

Im in my first month of trying with my partner of 12 years. With wedding plans up in the air due to covid we decided we didn’t want to put our lives on hold any more so here we are!

I came off the pill, had my withdrawal bleed and now in the two week wait until next week when I can test.

I guess I just wanted to come on here and see if anyone else is new to trying too. Or people who can give light in how long it took them to conceive after coming off the pill.

We haven’t told no one we’re trying so I feel like I haven’t got no one to talk too about it all. Trying to stay positive and would love to have a happy ending to 2020.

Sending baby dust to you all xxx

I think that's exactly it @GreenApplesYo is spot on. We are all so different you literally can't compare! My LH base line is literally zero. I'm lucky if I get to 10%, so for me to be at 80% means something is going on. But others will be different. And same with BBT testing, I can do mine in a 45min window and they seem to be fine, so I don't really bother with doing them very early. I just do them between 6.30 and 7.15 which is when I usually wake up. For me I love my little FF chart, it gives me a distraction from the much more scary thought of being a mum and having a human to look after 😂😂 even at 32, very nearly 33 I feel way too young!!

GreenApplesYo · 26/10/2020 08:20

Haha I keep thinking that the little ones are OK... But one day I'll have a teenager(s) to deal with!

AMS19 · 26/10/2020 10:30

All moving in the right direction today!! I've realised premom only will call a test peak after it has done one whole cycle and seen it go back down. So I'll only get peak retrospectively. I would say this is very close to a peak?! If not peak? Fermometer is staying peak obviously but it was from last night...

I'm not tracking my ovulation with test kits just yet, but I did buy some cheap ones off Amazon a few weeks ago. They are easy@Home Ovulation Test. Anyone else used these?
I have no clue how to track, what to do etc 🙈😄
So, I'm following all your posts with interest for this month so I can pick up tips for next month.
My nausea has disappeared today.

AMS19 · 26/10/2020 11:21

@PowerOfFlowers happy to talk you through what to do when you get nearer to start! You should probably start testing CD8 i would say

PowerOfFlowers · 26/10/2020 11:49

Thank you @AMS19 Smile I'm day 21 today so I might test tomorrow morning with the ovulation kit that I have.

AMS19 · 26/10/2020 12:02

@PowerOfFlowers do you not think you've already ovulated? You only use them pre ovulation.

GreenApplesYo · 26/10/2020 13:04

@AMS19 does 1.68 = 168%? Then I think that's a peak 🙂 photo was a bit blurry when I zoomed in but it looks to me like the test line is darker.

@PowerOfFlowers I have femometer OPKs which are similar to the easy@home ones. Very straightforward to use 🙂haha I can't decide if it's good or bad that your nausea has gone! Usually I'd say it's a good thing but must be a bit disappointing? Perhaps it can come and go

AMS19 · 26/10/2020 13:11

@GreenApplesYo yep 167%! So I think thay has to be peak, right? I just "made" my husband DTD during lunch 😂😂 working from home definitely makes trying so much easier! I was worried we would miss the peak so wanted to get it done. would ideally try again but I dont think the poor boy has anything left in him...literally!

GreenApplesYo · 26/10/2020 13:40

@AMS19 hahah your poor DH! Maybe feed him a sandwich? He might need recovery snacks 😂 Eek but seriously you'd think with all the baby dancing you'll be in with a great chance of making a mini-AMS.

AMS19 · 26/10/2020 13:52

I gave him a carot just before we did it to give him energy 😂😂 thanks @GreenApplesYo just nice to know you've done all you can. Then if it doesn't happen at least we tried and have no regrets!

Happythoughts91 · 26/10/2020 14:35

So exciting @GreenApplesYo defiantly sounds like a peak and the bonus of working from home! We DTD 11 days in a row over our fertile day. I can to miss you that have NEVER happened before and I don’t think he believed it was happening himself! 😂😂

Wow 11 days in a row! Good work @Happythoughts91 🤣
Yes, I might have already @AMS19 I'll start testing with them from CD8 next month. Love that you gave your DH a carrot!! 😄
We are both also working from home - its a LOT easier to DTD!!

AMS19 · 26/10/2020 15:36

Wow 11 days! We've done it quite a lot, twice Saturday. I'm keen to either do it again tonight or tomorrow. Really hoping for a BBT rise tomorrow 🤞🤞🤞

@PowerOfFlowers are you BBT charting as well next cycle? I would say once a day from CD8 until you get some progression, then do it twice a day to try and catch your peak. I'm going to do another one at like 6ish if I can stop drinking water 😷

I cant believe it is November this week! Where has this year gone?!

PowerOfFlowers · 26/10/2020 15:52

@AMS19 I wasn't planning on tracking my BBT (had to Google - yes, I am THAT clueless!!) but I might as well start from next month so I know how to track it all. Thanks for all of this by the way - you guys are helping me so much already ☺️
I know right, November already!

Happythoughts91 · 26/10/2020 16:04

Haha gotta be in it to win it lol
Today is the first day I’ve not felt ‘weird’ no stomach ache. No symptoms, no nothing. Just normal. Hmmmm wonder what that means. Xx

Hi everyone ☺ Could I join please?
Will be coming off the pill (mini) this week after being on it for just over 2 years.

I already have a DD who is almost 4 and was my rainbow baby after two ectopic pregnancies beforehand.

A little bit scared to go through it all again, but would love for her to have a little brother or sister to play with ❤ It might not happen, as tried for around a year when DD was 1. I only have 1 tube so let's see if there's still some life in the old girl lol x

GreenApplesYo · 26/10/2020 16:35

Hey! @Pudding01 nice to have you here 🙂good luck for coming off the pill. TTC can be scary, horrible to want something so much, but not have the control over if/when it happens. Hope your cycles come back quickly and you can start baby making 🙂

Pudding01 · 26/10/2020 16:58

Thanks @GreenApplesYo has been a big debate whether to put myself through it again, but just feels right.

Forgot to mention it will be my DP's first child too. But he knows the score, so there's no pressure from him. Just myself haha

Good luck to all you ladies too. It's a roller coaster isn't it x

Babymama996 · 26/10/2020 16:59

I am stopping the pill now (9 days into the pack) so will I have a withdrawal bleed soon after? With my last baby I stopped the pill, had the bleed and conceive that same month but I can’t for the life of me remember any details to help me this time. Will everything go the same with stopping mid pack as it does when you just finish a pack?

AMS19 · 26/10/2020 17:40

@Babymama996 yes you can stop mid pack it isnt an issue!

@Pudding01 welcome! Sorry to hear about what you've bring through. Hopefully a smoother ride this time around

Happythoughts91 · 26/10/2020 17:47

@Babymama996 Welcome! Hope it all goes smoothly for you xxx

@Pudding01 aw! I'm really hoping I can eventually have 2 dc (and I still have to make dc1 first!!) because it's nice to have a sibling to play with. I'm 35! It's going to be an intense 5 years or so, if I'm lucky with TTC haha.

How many kids does everyone else want by the way (in an ideal world)? Would be interesting to hear what you're all hoping for 🙂

AMS19 · 26/10/2020 19:32

@GreenApplesYo Ideally 2, but if I had 2 of the same gender I would go for a third! I really really really want a son and daughter 😂😂

Happythoughts91 · 26/10/2020 19:32

Haha. We want two! If again we’re lucky enough to have children. Age gap we aren’t to sure on. Me and my brother have 9 years which has made me definitely want a close age. I think maybe 2 or 3 years between is nice and will work for us. Especially as if everything goes to plan we will delay our wedding for the 2nd time and get married between 1st and 2nd child.

What about you @GreenApplesYo
