TTC cycle 1 (just come off pill) for #1

Hello!

Im in my first month of trying with my partner of 12 years. With wedding plans up in the air due to covid we decided we didn’t want to put our lives on hold any more so here we are!

I came off the pill, had my withdrawal bleed and now in the two week wait until next week when I can test.

I guess I just wanted to come on here and see if anyone else is new to trying too. Or people who can give light in how long it took them to conceive after coming off the pill.

We haven’t told no one we’re trying so I feel like I haven’t got no one to talk too about it all. Trying to stay positive and would love to have a happy ending to 2020.

@AMS19 ok took your advice there and added the result into Premom, which is giving me a Low Result! I find it so strange how 2 apps could read the results so different, a low versus a high! 🤔

This is my first one, will I test again tomorrow at the same time? 😊

@positivitytree2020 do another test at 5pm just in case! Feels very early to he ovulating but let's just check! Make sure you don't use the loo for at least 2 hours before and try not to drink much. If it is still around the same level then test tomorrow (the same time as you tested today)

Yeah I reckon you're okay and that is probably your baseline. I think @GreenApplesYo had a baseline around this level?!?!

@CardioQueen haha I appreciate the support 😂. Hadn't realised you were over in Aus! I was supposed to be there right now actually but obv cancelled because of covid 😭. Still, trying to see the bright side which is that I get to start TTC a little earlier than planned!

@SweetShopSurprise that absolutely sucks that you've had such trouble getting someone to listen you you! Sadly not the first time I've heard someone say that about trying to get endo diagnosed in particular. I hope you get the answers and support your looking for from the gynae appointment ❤️

Update on period pants: they arrived today just in time for my withdrawal bleed to finish 😂 so I'll review next cycle (or hopefully not if I manage to get a BFP!)

Thanks so much @AMS19! 😊 I will test again later today just in case and then back to my the same time tomorrow morning! Does seem very early in cycle to be getting a high, so more inclined to use Premom interpretation! 😂

@positivitytree2020 are you BBT tracking too? If so definitely start now as you need a baseline for that too before O day!

Yes and No! 😂 unfortunately my BBT thermometer was delayed in post so was just using a regular thermometer since CD1 (better than nothing). Got a text that BBT one is due to arrive today though! 🙌🏼 My morning temps have been fluctuating between 35.9 - 36.3 Celsius! 😊

Haha you will have to live the charting through us so, and we can live the pregnancy experience through you! 😂 you can be our chart reader! 😂

Ah yes I remember you saying @positivitytree2020 that's fine just switch to the Basel one from tomorrow, that will be long enough to get a good baseline so we can pinpoint O day easily!

@AMS19 my thermometer just arrived now! 🙌🏼 Looking forward to trying it out tomorrow! Hopefully this will help with tracking Ovulation!! 😃

@positivitytree2020 If you see my post a little further below yours I asked a similar thing last night and we're in beth similar places as I'm CD6 too and was getting high results on Femometer. My highest today is 68% 🤷🏻‍♀️😬
I think it might just mean that this is our natural baseline and like @AMS19 said it doesn't mean anything until it surges. My reading was the same late last night and a tiny bit higher today after the 10 min wait time for it to fully develop.
I also have stretchy CM this morning which I never had on the pill but then I don't know if I'm overthinking it as we did DTD last night 🙈
I went for a run this morning too and nearly had to stop as the right side was aching so much down there- it was like I had a stitch in my ovary! I'm possibly massively overthinking everything now it's on my mind but think I'll keep testing OPKs regularly this month just to get a sense of what my body is doing!

Hey @emmgrem 🙂 I'd keep checking that CM. And keep peeing on those sticks!

@AMS19 @positivitytree2020 my 'baseline' was about 25% on femometer although I did once have a random 37% reading.

I think the first month with OPKs can be confusing. These are good to have a look at if you haven't already:

@Emmgrem they all sound really positive signs! I only had one lot of EWCM in the whole 2 months off the pill and it was 5 days before I ovulated!

Can I ask a vile question to @AMS19 and @GreenApplesYo and anyone else with a BFP... what's yer CM been like since 😂😂😂 mind is sticky and a little yellow today... I'm due in about 5 days I think x

@DrS44 hello. It's creamy. Like white but wet and in fairly... generous quantities hahah.

@GreenApplesYo 😂😂👏🏻 brilliant! The reason I'm asking is I've loads too... so strange. Mostly white but some had a tinge... 🤣🤣

@DrS44 I think that's supposed to be a good sign, isn't it? More usual to stay dry before AF? What dpo are you now?

@AMS19 the cm is definitely an annoyance for that! I've got more used to it now but the first week I did keep double checking it was good wet not bad wet haha

@GreenApplesYo I'm going to drive myself insane by the time I get to 12 weeks 😂😂😂

Maybe tmi but the thing that really freaked me out for a few minutes was wiping blue-green! Turned out DP's pen had leaked and he'd used some loo roll to clean his hands and left a smudge on the paper.

Maybe I'm a gradual onset type then 🤞 That would make sense. I'm just happy seeing anything above 0 to be honest as 0 was my first ever reading. Going to test twice a day from now on then and maybe invest in some of the easy@home sticks that work best with the app 👏

@GreenApplesYo thay proper made me laugh! Another TMI from me, wiped last night before bed clearly too vigorously and must have torn thr paper. Could see my finger but thought it was light brown blood and my heart jumped out my chest. Nope...just my finger popping through 😂😂
