TTC cycle 1 (just come off pill) for #1

Hello!

Im in my first month of trying with my partner of 12 years. With wedding plans up in the air due to covid we decided we didn’t want to put our lives on hold any more so here we are!

I came off the pill, had my withdrawal bleed and now in the two week wait until next week when I can test.

I guess I just wanted to come on here and see if anyone else is new to trying too. Or people who can give light in how long it took them to conceive after coming off the pill.

We haven’t told no one we’re trying so I feel like I haven’t got no one to talk too about it all. Trying to stay positive and would love to have a happy ending to 2020.

@GreenApplesYo it is pink so I assume it isnt an evap if it has colour? It is very obvious in "real life" much less so in the photo. It is just very light and the fact my temp dropped so much tells me it isnt going to stick. But, as I say, the positive it i did get pregnant. Now it is a waiting game for AF or more tests! I'll do another one tomorrow im sure if I don't wake up with AF. I would love to say i will wait until Tuesday when AF is due but who am I kidding 😂😂

Ha yes it's hard to take a photo of a faint line, recent discovery if mine too. I do hope it's a sticky one. I don't envy you the wait though! Keep us up to date 🙂x

Thanks @GreenApplesYo it will be what it will be. If it doesn't stick, which I'm not expecting it to, then it is for the best as clearly it won't have formed correctly. Just hope it doesn't mess with my cycles in anyway!

Hi @Happythoughts91 are you going to track everything too? I think you have the right attitude of not wanting to get your hopes up too much. Thats how I'm feeling too. Its our first month ttc and I thought I'd be chill but I'm symptom spotting like mad, testing earlier than I should etc 🙈
I'm still spotting over here and also BFN this morning so my plan on having a steak and some red wine tonight is on! Day 33 and 11dpo so it all makes sense. Happy to know that everything works like clockwork and all that but still feeling ugh that it didn't happen the first month.

@PowerOfFlowers I'm definitely feeling like AF is on her way. I feel rubbish but have felt pretty rubbish all week. If my temp hadn't crash off a cliff I'd feel more positive. AF is due Tuesday so still got another 3 days 🙄🙄
I'm so jealous of the steak and red wine! I was taking a test to rule it out completely to have wine 😂😂 even though I'm not expecting it to stick I'm obviously going to be good now 😇 especially after the 2 bottles of red wine i smashed through Wednesday...ooooopsy

@PowerOfFlowers sorry meant to say no spotting. But I only usually get spotting the night before AF, so expecting based on temp that to start tonight

Oh my goodness @AMS19 how confusing for you! Sending all the good luck your way! I'm still so new to all this I'm wondering about the temp drop because it looks like it's still above the line on your chart so still higher than pre-ovulation? Is that still a bad sign?

@Bells20 no your are right the fact it is still above the line is technically good. But I think it dropping by so much isn't a good sign. If it had creeped down I feel like that would be better. The last time I had a drop that much was before I came on my last period! If AF doesn't show up today or tomorrow morning I'll take another test tomorrow and hope my temp picks back up 🤞🤞

@AMS19 I did wonder about the temps as well. Will be interesting to see what it does tomorrow. I'm sure you've already thought of this, but maybe if it didn't implant until 10dpo or so maybe that's why you're just picking up the HCG now.

@GreenApplesYo it is definitely not out the question. I had some spotting on Thursday so would be odd to have the spotting and dip on different days?!

@AMS19 implantation on thurs would make sense if it's showing up now on the FRERs? That would be about the right time frame for the HCG to be strong enough to show on a FRER, you'd think. The temp thing could be unrelated? I know there is nothing you can do but wait and see. An not get excited. Which is how you're playing it already obviously 🙂 fingers crossed for you.

@GreenApplesYo yes the implantation bleed would work and it was the day after my BFN which would make sense. It is literally only that my temp has dropped so much and it is still quite light for 12Dapao. Although maybe not so light for 2 days past implantation 🤷‍♀️ it is all very confusing. If ny temp goes back up tomorrow and AF doesn't show and the line is still there/slightly darker, ill feel much kore positive! But until then as you say will play it cool

@AMS19 My 9dpo evening FRER was like this, which I think would be 2 days after implantation (2 days is a guess based on me feeling 'weird' on 7dpo).

@GreenApplesYo that is what mine looks like now! Im going to the loo every bloody 30mins because I feel like I've come on 🙄🙄 it is going to be a long day! Ha!

@AMS19 have you mentioned it to your husband by the way?

Hi all, just trying to catch up- I've downloaded the app but it's still a little confusing for following discussions! I'm on a Facebook group with Premom and they all seem to talk about very faint lines as positive and to check again the next day? So this looks good?! Keeping everything crossed for you xxx

@GreenApplesYo yesh I told him. He is also relaxed though and won't get excited until we get past the 5 week mark I dont think knowing how common CPs are!

@DrS44 this is my first proper cycle TTC, but my second cycle off the pill! The first "cycle" was between withdrawal bleed and my first proper period and I'm pretty sure I didn't even ovulate!

@AMS19 ahhh ok I get you! Ya I feel like I haven't ovulated after my withdrawal bleed so I'm hoping to get a good cycle and be able to see a rise in my OPKs next month. Did you do OPKs this month? Xxx

@drs44 yeah OPKs and charted my temp! Would definitely reccomend at least doing OPKs. It helped me pin point thr exact day I ovulated! If this doesn't stick which I dont think it will, then I'll defo be doing it for my next cycle 🙂

@AMS19 ya I've been doing them (but not since the start maybe a week in) and I've not seen a significant rise! Hopefully next month ☺️ is it best to do OPKs late in the day? And at the same time every day?
