Hi loves,
I'm out of the game for the Oct bus so I thought I'd kick off November bus early so people can join if AF rears her ugly head.
Brief summary of me - TTC since Jan, mc in Sept, just finished first period after d&c and ready to get pregnant already!
I've got a 4yr old ds and really hoped to be pregnant right now so pretty fed up with the whole process but trying to keep positive. IT WILL HAPPEN.
Sending baby dust to everyone! Summer babes for us all round Smile

Welcome @Vi2020 & @Ells19962000

@Ells19962000 that sounds as though you've done all you can this month - fingers are crossed for you!x

@Vi2020 not too long to wait until you can test! When do you think you will? It's frustrating how long it can take isn't it 😕 and I have to actively stop myself from stressing about time/age each bfn I get. It's not helping that my DS (almost 4yrs) is absolutely desperate for a brother or sister and keeps saying 'please can you make me a baby in your tummy soon?' FFS, I'm trying kiddo! 🤣
I'm only 2dpo so got a bit of a wait to test. Will probably do 1st test on the 11th. Fingers crossed all round xx

@Bmeggar yes! I do think failed implantation and chemicals knack you up skin wise. I don't think wearing masks helps skin (not objecting to masks btw). My skin is horrific, it's quite embarrassing really. I keep thinking my body is really fluffed up off my chemicals.
Hopefully ovulating in a few days. Not tracking this month as we've decided to chill and not actively try due to work (can do with not being pregnant for Christmas). It's taking every ounce of willpower not to pee on opks!

Bmeggar · 02/11/2020 06:36

@Theawkwardblonde that'll be us next month if it doesn't happen this month. Trying to avoid very early stages of pregnancy over Xmas and an end of Aug babe (I'm the 29th Aug baby and I think it's tough school year wise). Will be incredibly hard to not track though! I used up the last of my opks this month so will TRY to not buy any more 😬🤣

Although of course I will get pregnant this month so that won't be an issue....🤞🤞🤞

@MamaPheebz I find the opks very frustrating! Just can’t seem to find the surge! Maybe you ovulated late but I think you can get false positives too so ovulation still might have been the earlier one!

The temps aren’t helping me much. I’ve attached my chart which suggests I’ve ovulated but no positive opks so I also have no idea what’s going on! X

@SarahMumof1DS
Oh no! I can’t believe the hospital were so unhelpful. Don’t be afraid to take him back again if he isn’t ok. It’s good you have the appointment on Wednesday though. At least you know they will take you seriously. How is he today? X

Bmeggar · 02/11/2020 07:49

@SRyellow I think that's a good looking graph and definitely suggests you ovulated. The opks are unreliable in my opinion as you can easily miss the surge. Keeping fingers crossed 🤞

@SRyellow
It’s so confusing. Will just wait and see I guess. I hate waiting!

Vi2020 · 02/11/2020 08:10

@Bmeggar I caved and tested on Saturday (8 DPO). It was BFN. I promised myself that I would wait until AF is due on Saturday (let’s see if I can wait 😬😬😬). DH wants me to wait as well. It’s just hard to stop yourself from testing when you get all symptoms. Fingers crossed to all of us!

It’s nice to be on this journey with some supportive people though! 💪 It can super lonely at times.

Baby dust to all of us.

Theawkwardblonde · 02/11/2020 09:09

@Bmeggar we've barely dtd this month so not really expecting much to happen. Caved and did an opk this morning and it's positive-it's so hard to bloody resist tracking 🤦🏼‍♀️

Figarosbow · 02/11/2020 09:34

I tested this morn ... BFN. I'm either 10dpo or 9 depending on which app I go by. Boobs are starting to hurt like the lead up to AF so not very hopeful.

Sohe · 02/11/2020 09:49

BFN for me at 10DPO aswell. Iv got two more ICs and when they are gone I’m vowing not to buy anymore so I can’t test early! I only have a 10-12 day LP normally so AF due any day really. Was really hoping for that second line this morning. X

Ells19962000 · 02/11/2020 10:50

@sophe 10 DPO is still early though so dont get your Hope's up!!
I'm only 5DPO today and I have waves of sickness and slightly sore nipples which has happened only in the last day or so. Though not trying to symptom spot as it's my first time TTC so not sure what signs my body would give me anyway!

My period is due on the 10 Novemeber this month, was going to test on the 7th? Would be 10DPO and be 3 days before period. Or do you think I should wait longer? So scared to test omg!!

XPeach123 · 02/11/2020 10:57

Good Morning all!
Hubby and I have a good talk last night and have decided to arrange a doctors appointment to get things moving. We've been on zero contraception since May 2019 so it's easily 18 months now...
Hubby bought a sperm count test last night and I'll be taking myself to the chemist to get some ovulation kits.

Has anyone been the doctors to discuss? I'm curious to understand what happens on first appointment? I imagine it'll start with a phone call (given the circumstances) but I'd rather have a good general understanding from some who have stated this route 😊

Bmeggar · 02/11/2020 11:15

@XPeach123 that sounds sensible. It's really easy with the docs. I just had a telephone call and explained how long we'd been trying and they were really nice. First I had bloods checked for thyroid issues as I had a few other symptoms, then I had bloods for hormones at a certain point in my cycle. Once those all came back normal, Hubby spoke to doc and he referred him for a semen analysis at the hospital. This took a 3 month wait! Basically he just had to jizz in a cup. In the meantime I also had an internal ultrasound (wand like stick, uncomfortable but fine, better than a smear test) to check my ovaries/uterus etc and make sure no cysts etc. All of that was normal for us. Now we've had all the checks we can be referred to a fertility clinic. However, as I did end up getting pregnant (ended in mc), I think we'll wait until the new year to get referred...although that may take another 6months so might do it sooner! Good luck! It's all a really painless process though x

XPeach123 · 02/11/2020 11:23

Thanks @bmeggar it's good to know what to expect - there isn't really much on the NHS site specific to this.

Bmeggar · 02/11/2020 11:34

@XPeach123 no worries! Always less daunting when you know what something entails x

XPeach123 · 02/11/2020 11:41

Absolutely. Just frustrating that the current pandemic is likely to slow everything down even more... Told hubby that some areas have different rules for fertility support after you've turned 35 which is (late) next year for me he was shocked to learn this!

Hope everyone has a good day, sending positive vibes to you all xo

Foxywall · 02/11/2020 11:54

Hi Everyone,
I'm currently ttc baby no 2. On month 3.
Great there is a platform I can talk.
I had my peak about 4 days ago.now my opks are getting lighter. Should I still test. My opks were all light the boom on day 13 it was dark. I also am doing clearblue digital too. So both were low on cd 12 which we didnt bd. But boom did opk on day 13 and it was peak. So bd everyday since then so now on cd 16 and they are getting lighter again. Do you think I missed my window this month as the opk went so dramatically to peak from low. Anyone experience this. I've bd every second day since my period so bd on cd 11.
Advice would be welcome. Baby dust to everyone. Hope this is our month.

Ells19962000 · 02/11/2020 12:22

Hi @Foxywall!
How long are your cycles?
Opks can vary from each woman, this month mine were dark for 2 days. If your opk was positive then thered a chnace you've ovulated! Plus since you've been DTD every other day, you should be covered! Though if it makes you less stress then no wrong in taking the tests until you feel sure you've had your LH surge.
though just because you get a positive opk doesnt mean you necessarily ovulated every time and some women can also have 2 surges.
Wish you good luck!!

Sunflowers81 · 02/11/2020 13:13

Hello @gracie2307! Thank you, my weekend was good thank you!
Eek, it sounds like we are on around the same cycle again! Fingers crossed for us both! I hope you had a good weekend.
It is a testing time, perhaps it will take our mind off the tww? (As if!)
Do you feel better for the acupuncture?

@Dogmum13 oh that's so confusing for you, I hope you feel better soon. Could it be a virus? Sometimes when I've had a bad cold I've had a breakthrough bleed.

@SRyellow @MamaMoonbeam I may have messed up my opk's this month by using different brands. A friend gave me a few, plus I had a few to use up, but had bought a new box, so used three different brands! opsie! How are you getting on today?

@MgW1eeek so exciting!

Oh @SarahMumof1DS
I'm so sorry to hear that. It's so unfair for you. You are right to write the letter. I hope DH is doing better today. All the best for Wednesday's appointment.

Welcome @Ells19962000 @Vi2020! @Bmeggar I'm 39, totally understand the age worries!

@Foxywall I thought the opk's showed that you are about to ovulate in the next 24 - 36 hours, so as you bd on day 13 onwards you will be fine! Plus you did it every other day before that, so covered then too. Fingers crossed!

MamaMoonbeam · 02/11/2020 13:19

@Sunflowers81 XD oopsie! Im not doing books bad thanks lovely. A bit crampy and bloaty in the lower abdominal area but hoping to ovulate in the next couple of days so we can chill on the DTD for a few weeks!
How are you doing? Xx

Dogmum13 · 02/11/2020 13:31

@Sunflowers81 yes could be. Still feeling a bit rough but headache not as bad. Ewcm today, ov cramps and a much darker opk today so must be ovulating really late!

Foxywall · 02/11/2020 14:10

@ellis19962000
My cycles are normally 32-34 days.However last month it was 37. Which gutted me as I was nearly a week late 😢

Figarosbow · 02/11/2020 14:17

@sohe sorry yours was a bfn too. Fingers crossed we were both too early. Thats good willpower, I however have none and just went a got another frer, well 2 packs actually as it was buy one get one half price Blush

Welcome @foxywall Smile

@mgW1 ooh that's exciting!

SparkyLauz · 02/11/2020 14:45

@gracie2307 Hi! Yes had a good weekend thanks literally just starting my TWW, it feels like its been a long wait to get to the TWW this time. Feeling really positive as DTD many many times this past week, going to try not to symptom spot too this time.

We are both pretty much in sync arnt we! Fingers crossed for our bfp this month its also our 2nd wedding anniversary in 2 weeks so that would be a lovely surprise! Gutted that we arnt able to go the lakes for the weekend to celebrate it but if its a bfp this month then ile be happy with just that!
