TTC November Bus

Hi loves,
I'm out of the game for the Oct bus so I thought I'd kick off November bus early so people can join if AF rears her ugly head.
Brief summary of me - TTC since Jan, mc in Sept, just finished first period after d&c and ready to get pregnant already!
I've got a 4yr old ds and really hoped to be pregnant right now so pretty fed up with the whole process but trying to keep positive. IT WILL HAPPEN.

Well I tested again and BFN! However the test I used yesterday was 10 mIU/ml and the new strips I got from pharmacy this am are 25 mIU/ml. Unfortunately they didnt have any first response tests. Iv ordered some from amazon so will try again tomoz. I had a spare opk test and that is 10 mIU/ml and apparently opk cant tell difference between LH and HCG. iv read that if you have a line on an opk before AF then it is hcg it it picking up. Got a line on the opk so 🤞🏻 xx

@foxywall if your cycle was longer last month, theres a chnace you could ovulate later than usual, deffo keep an eye on the signs and keep BD!!!
I'm in my early 20's so I do wonder how long it will take my to conceive. Recently had my Nexplanon removed on the 23 September. But had my period on the inplamt anyway and the first period of october was only delayed 4 days which isn't too bad. I know some women take months for fertility to return.
Did see if I could catch in September but didnt work (expected as much) so this is first month fully trying!!

Would you say the last 2 opks are positives? I've had blazing positives before that are darker than the control line so I'm not sure if these still count as negative or not

Hi @Dogmum13 I would personally say not postive if you've had darker ones before! But theres still no harm in BD anyway just in case! Keep an eye out!

Hi all! So. My period finished yesterday, so what next!? When should I check LH strips? My husband works away so we can’t just dtd from today (but he will be back late tomorrow and lockdown will at least help keep him here 🤞🏻 ...). Basically- how do I maximise my chances!?

Hi @XPeach123 I use fertility friend and Premom. I find they are both pretty good. Fertility friend has a free and paid option. There are loads out there and it’s so confusing to chose which one to pick.

@BossyFlossie76 timing of OPK depends on your cycle normally. I have a 26-27 day cycle so start testing at 7DPO once a day and then twice a day from 10DPO. Just DTD regularity till you know what is normal for your cycle and then as often as you can when you enter your fertile window. Daily or every other day which is easier said then done!! I ovulated early this month and only caught the very back end of the fertile window.

I feel like a broken record but another BFN this morning at 11DPO. AF due tomorrow, possibly Thurs. only one IC left though so hopefully I can stick to my plan of not ordering any more. If I only have the expensive ones in the house I might be a bit more frugal with them. This is the first time I have done daily testing and it is not pleasent 🙈 x

@XPeach123 I use Femometer free app and like it. I think they're probably all good as long as you use them consistently. 👍

@Sohe there is still a chance! Last time I was 12dpo before I got a strong line 🤞🤞🤞

@XPeach123 I have been using Period Tracker since June 2015. I started using it just to track my period and even though I changed phones a few times since then the info always transfers only. We've only been TTC properly since June and I find it very useful.

@Sohe as @Bmeggar says you're still in the game. Good luck for when you test again 🤞

Constantly doing ov tests this week. If we fell pregnant this month that make it a july baby?

Ah well done on getting to the 2ww! 🤞🤞🤞 keep up the positivity! Yes we are in sync haha I got a peak smiley today after about 2-3 days of flashing smiley. DTD pretty much every day over the past few days and used pre seed so hopefully the magic can happen!

Ahhh congratulations on your upcoming wedding anniversary! 🥳 That is a shame about not going away... are you doing anything nice to celebrate at home (in spite of lockdown!)? We hit our 2 years wedding anniversary in September, will be 10 years together next year - eek! Xx

@Dogmum13 oh that's so confusing for you, I hope you feel better soon. Could it be a virus? Sometimes when I've had a bad cold I've had a breakthrough bleed.

@SRyellow @MamaMoonbeam I may have messed up my opk's this month by using different brands. A friend gave me a few, plus I had a few to use up, but had bought a new box, so used three different brands! opsie! How are you getting on today?

@Foxywall I thought the opk's showed that you are about to ovulate in the next 24 - 36 hours, so as you bd on day 13 onwards you will be fine! Plus you did it every other day before that, so covered then too. Fingers crossed!

Hey @Sunflowers81! How are you doing? Yay we are on the same cycle too 😊😊 have you entered the 2ww yet? Hows your week been? Accupuncture was alright thank you, it did make me feel more relaxed which is ironic considering you are lying with pins in your head and legs 🤣🤣 my therapist recommended lots of hot food for TT C (i.e. 3 warm meals a day) as it promotes good circulation. She did also advise eating rich meats like liver but I will give that a miss for the time being! 🙈 xxx

Yes and BFN! Tomorrow will be 4 months since mc. Doc said it can take up to 6 months for things to return to normal after an early second trimester miscarriage. I am trying to rush nature and its just not gona happen! Just need to be patient , something I am not good at !!!! Hahaha anyway il try not to get down heartened over it ..... no Af yet but temp has dropped. Just gona do every other day with pre seed in next window , not doing opks too stressful and I got way too obsessive !!!!! How are you ? Xx

@MgW1 ahhh nooo sorry to hear that, you’re still not out yet though so we still have time! Yeah I agree, preseed and eve primrose next cycle and no bloody OPKs lol. I’m okay, did a test this morning at 8DPO and got BFN as expected but still disheartening, I think I’ll wait until Thursday at the earliest to test again although the FRERs arrive tomorrow 🤣 I had my day 21 blood test yday so should hear back by the end of the week but I also picked up the Letrozole to start next cycle so that’s giving me hope lol. I’ve been frantically googling ‘8DPO BFN leading to BFP’ all morning, I think I’ve exhausted the forums 🙈

Gona test again tomorrow am and then if still neg , start evening primrose. I have a nail appointment tomorrow just in the nick of time before they close for 4 weeks 😊. I think we can fit 4 B'd s in fertile window , im not one for doing it every night cos worry my husband supplies will run thin 🤪 got everything crossed for aug or sept bambino 🤞🏻
So will that tell you if you ovulated? Im using the pre - mom app and logging symptoms. I am going to get a basal thermometer so I know exactly when ovulated and then I wont be tempted to take a hcg test too early xx

AF arrived last night so CD2 for me, is anyone else around the same time? App says I'll ovulate around 19 November so a long wait yet xx

@MgW1 yeah good idea, we DTD for like 8 days last time or something, won’t do that again, we hated each other at the end of it 😅 I had my nails done last week so Il be okay for a couple of weeks but wish I didn’t bother now as I struggle getting gels off and I know I’m going to have a nightmare when the salons are closed ☹️ Yes that blood test will tell me if I’ve ovulated so I’m hoping I get a call to day yes or even better a BFP in the next few days 🎉 yeah I’m defo going to get a thermometer, I wake up at the same time daily even at the weekends so I hope I can get accurate readings, where are you going to get one from?

Does It feel like that because Nov is going to be a long month with lockdown?! If I get my AF on Thursday then im booking in a bottle of wine on sat & Netflix and poss a take away!! My app says 21st for me , got BFN today xx
