TTC November Bus

Hi loves,
I'm out of the game for the Oct bus so I thought I'd kick off November bus early so people can join if AF rears her ugly head.
Brief summary of me - TTC since Jan, mc in Sept, just finished first period after d&c and ready to get pregnant already!
I've got a 4yr old ds and really hoped to be pregnant right now so pretty fed up with the whole process but trying to keep positive. IT WILL HAPPEN.
Sending baby dust to everyone! Summer babes for us all round Smile

@SunnydazeQ YES to non alcoholic beers. We bloody love em in our household. My favourite is lucky saint, hubby loves the brew dog one. I'm practically a blimin low alcohol beer connoisseur these days 🤦🏼‍♀️
Agree with you on Greg low alcohol wine front though - that shit is either too sweet like grape juice or just plain nasty 🤣

So today has been a bad day for me. After spotting on Sunday night, then again this morning, I've had nothing else and should be full AF by now. Still bfn on the tests so I'm putting it down to post-mc bullsh*t. Feeling deflated and fed up. I think I'm going to stop trying for a month for several reasons. Firstly I think my cycle is a bit screwed and needs time to settle, secondly if I did conceive it would be due 26th august and my ds would be starting school at the beginning of sept so I feel that's too much change in one go for the little sprog, and finally, it's bloody Christmas and I just feel like enjoying myself! I was pregnant in august and ended up having a rotten bday full of pain and worry from the pregnancy and a bit of me just feels like sticking 2 fingers up at the last year of trying and instead having a footloose and fancy free Xmas without a 2 week wait in sight! So I think I'm going to drop off the November bus soon. I'm not quite ready but soon. And in the nicest possible way, I hope I don't see any of you on the January bus 😘

@bmeggar
Have you spoken to GP ? Had a blood test? We arent bothering next month - inlaws have brought us plenty wine and gin back from spain so I shall be over indulging if it doesnt happen this month 🤪👍🏻 xxx

bmeggar · 17/11/2020 18:01

@MgW1 that makes me feel better - although fingers are still crossed for you this next cycle! 🤞🤞🤞
We've done the fertility bloods/semen analysis. Not had a blood test since mc but it was a d&c so very unlikely anything left inside. And pregnancy tests were positive for 2 weeks after d&c then went negative. But you're right..I guess if AF doesn't show up tomorrow then it might be worth contacting doctor to ask WTF and see if they can offer any pearls of wisdom x

@bmeggar
Thank you. Yes you definately should. I think it will take me until some point next yr. I think mc has caused me a lot of stress ( ended up on anti depressants) and think i am still recovering. But we shall see. I want to keep trying but keep as chilled as i can xxx

gracie2307 · 17/11/2020 18:29

Hey @Dogmum13 how are you? Sounds very positive re the sore boob symptoms! Fingers crossed its a BFP when you test xx

gracie2307 · 17/11/2020 18:33

Hey @MgW1 how are you? So sorry for my late reply. You still on flashing smiley OPKs? Yeah the medicheck tests sound like a good idea and speaking to your GP, keeping everything crossed for you 🤞 I am ok thanks, AF has arrived properly today. Nevermind, it is what it is. The chasteberry tablets are called SM Nutrition and I got them from Amazon. They are supposed to help with shorter lutueal cycles and PMS/hormone issues and can help ovulation. They taste rank but have been highly rated haha! Xxx

gracie2307 · 17/11/2020 18:35

Hey @SparkyLauz how are you? Its been a weird month hasnt it? How are you feeling? Im definitely out now - AF in full swing. Im fine now I've come to accept it but my god last week was hard I kept crying over everything. My hormones and pain were all over the shop. Going to try SMEP this month, keep on with accupuncture and see how it goes xx

gracie2307 · 17/11/2020 18:40

Hey @SunnydazeQ how are you? Thanks for your lovely message really cheered me up! AF is definitely here to stay. Im a bit confused as to why I was having random spotting to then stop then start with AF. All very strange. Definitely didn't feel right last week, kept crying over everything felt very very down. I feel fine now but its been a weird month! Yes definitely get the chastberry tablets from Amazon they are meant to be very good for hormone stabilisation and lutueal phase. Ooh havent tried matcha powder where do you get it from? Ahh how lovely sounds like the accupuncture is working wonders for you! How are you finding SMEP? Gonna try it this cycle read so many good reviews about it 👌 xx

gracie2307 · 17/11/2020 18:41

Hey @SRyellow how are you? Hope you are getting on all ok in the 2ww! Xx

gracie2307 · 17/11/2020 18:41

Hey @Sunflowers81 how are you? Hope you are doing ok sweet xxx

gracie2307 · 17/11/2020 18:44

Hey everybody! General group question- do you count AF spotting as Day 1 of cycle or when AF is in full swing? I feel very confused now and don't know when to count my first day of AF. Really want to do SMEP this month but as I had random spotting over the weekend then stop then AF properly appearing last night/today, do I count yesterday/today as cycle day 1? Thank youu! Xx

MgW1 · 17/11/2020 18:45

@gracie2307
Yes i have read they are really good so will look into them for Jan if no joy this month. How are you doing ? I guess it means you can try again , a month on the chasterberry may make all the difference 🤞🏻 xxx

gracie2307 · 17/11/2020 18:53

@MgW1 Will let you know how I get on! 😀 fingers crossed the funky herb smell is the secret to baby success lol 😆 I am alright thanks sweet just focused on trying this SMEP and seeing if it helps! At least I can have a big G&T tonight! Xxx

sunshineandshowers3 · 17/11/2020 18:54

Hope people don’t mind me jumping on this thread. Pretty new to MN but finding it really positive and supportive already. I’m 28 and my fiancé is 30. We’re currently TTC baby no 1 (have been trying since April this year). I know it isn’t that long but I can’t help feeling desperately deflated every time AF rears it’s ugly head!

Raffaella13 · 17/11/2020 19:03

@Emc16x @keepingfaithandhope

Good luck to both of you! Is this your first time TTC? it's my first time, first cycle...feeling hopeful but also aware of how long it can take.

@Emc16x it's good that you've got something else to focus on! I actually feel quite calm at the minute, like nothing is happening! I'm sure by next week I will be itching to start testing!

SRyellow · 17/11/2020 19:14

@gracie2307 Hi Gracie, I’m ok, I have lower backache could be good or bad but the coming days will tell! Otherwise not much going on other than distracting myself! How have you been feeling? Hope the SMEP goes well, I think I would wait and see how long full swing AF lasts, if short, id count the spotting as day 1 but if it’s a good few days, I’d start the count from when it was full swing if that makes sense! X

keepingfaithandhope · 17/11/2020 19:18

Hi @sunshineandshowers3 and @Raffaella13

Welcome sunshine and showers!

It's my 3rd month trying..I just realized my app I rely on is quite innacurate about my fertile days. I used digital ppl first time this month so hoping it's good news soon. My 2ww starts tomorrow.

Wishing us all the best xx

Emc16x · 17/11/2020 19:38

@Raffaella13 I’m on my 14th month on no contraception but 7 months TTC & tracking for baby no1! I have been referred to fertility clinic in January so just hoping I fall before then!

I’ve already started symptom spotting. There’s no way I could get them by now!

Good luck to you! Let me know how you get on x

keepingfaithandhope · 17/11/2020 19:38

Sorry *opk not ppl

sunshineandshowers3 · 17/11/2020 19:47

@keepingfaithandhope I feel like my app isn’t all that accurate either. Going to try SMEP this month... we have been trying every day some months but (both working full time) it’s pretty bloomin hard to maintain!

keepingfaithandhope · 17/11/2020 20:04

@sunshineandshowers3 i know right when both working full time, it's tricky to keep up!

Also using SMEP first time this month. Wish I came across it when I first started trying 😅 It's been quite full on tbh

sunshineandshowers3 · 17/11/2020 20:19

@keepingfaithandhope It certainly is! How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? It’s ridiculous because I keep beating myself up thinking ‘I wish we’d started trying earlier as we’d potentially have a baby by now’. Even though I know full well we weren’t ready and this is the best time. I think everything is so accessible and readily available in modern life that when we have to wait for something it comes as a shock. It certainly has to me!

🤞for us all this month. Wouldn’t it be lovely to have baby news by Christmas? Xx

keepingfaithandhope · 17/11/2020 20:35

@sunshineandshowers3 exactly, I've thought that way as well.. wished we started trying earlier, wished we tried different things like temp, opks etc but I'm learning to accept the present & take it one day at a time. It will happen for us all, and soon too!

I'm 34 end of this month. How about you? Yes @ Christmas news for us all🤞. Hoping it can even be birthday news. Ha! Xx

sunshineandshowers3 · 17/11/2020 20:46

@keepingfaithandhope Yep it’s so hard. My fiancé is the complete opposite and very pragmatic about it all. Thank god one of us is 😂. You’re so right though, learning to accept the present and the way things are currently is so important.

I’m 28 and my fiancé is 30. Yes, November news would be even better! 😊

Have you modified your diet/lifestyle at all whilst ttc?

gracie2307 · 17/11/2020 20:50

@SRyellow Thanks for your reply 😀 Ah good im glad you are keeping busy, any good distractions? I am ok thanks bit gutted about AF but I've accepted it and will focus on the new cycle! Ah thank you 😊 I will count it from today. Have you tried SMEP? Xx
