@BettyM90 I always look at OPK results in relation to the trend. So while your picture doesn’t look negative, my tests instructions say positive is ‘as dark or darker than the control line’

But I think probably all the tests are different and mine definitely different to yours.

Sorry for not super helpful answer but I didn’t want to leave you hanging!

BettyM90 · 22/10/2020 18:26

Thank you @Supermathsdoc that is a helpful answer :) it’s just the darkest line that I’ve seen all month so didn’t know?!

Im definitely not an expert and others may be able to give better advice (especially after my debacle this month) but i would say definitely DTD! but also keep testing.

The key one (for me) is between 1200-1600, that always seems to be my peak. It might be darker tomorrow, but equally if it isn't and that was your peak peak you'll kick yourself. If its helpful, mine do go darker than the control line when its the proper peak....

Please take everything I've said with a massive pinch of salt though because i always say, if i knew what i was doing i imagine i wouldn't be here...Wink

MummyToPrince · 22/10/2020 19:02

So I've just been to the loo and I've got what seems like creamy ewcm :-/

@Supermathsdoc my husband is not feeling DTD tonight and we epically failed last night...with thanks to our 3 year old son having a bad dream. I am so gutted 😭 x

robodo · 22/10/2020 20:36

I must keep my self occupied tomorrow and not buy any tests im all of a sudden very aware that I'm one week down and all I can think about is testing😪

Supermathsdoc · 22/10/2020 20:36

@BettyM90 remember that sperm can live up to 5 days and also that this is probably not your peak, if you peak tomorrow you have tomorrow and the next today. If this was your peak you have tomorrow !

You can only do your best, I definitely know how you feel and we just have to be kind to ourselves x

BettyM90 · 22/10/2020 20:43

@Supermathsdoc thank you, it’s super hard isn’t it to not beat yourself up. We last DTD on Monday so would be reaching 5 days if it was my peak!
I’ve just taking another OPK and it’s a lot more faint now and also took a clear blue digital and that was a flashing smiling face...so maybe it wasn’t my peak. Ugh...I’m getting so stressed out about this whole process 😭
Sorry rant over x

Supermathsdoc · 22/10/2020 20:48

It’s really rare I think to get an evening peak, as hard as it is, try to remember you’re doing your best and test tomorrow, you might find the peak is later... and even if it’s today you can still DTD tomorrow... it’s not over!

BettyM90 · 22/10/2020 20:54

That’s true, I will test again in the morning :) my husband keeps saying if it’s meant to be, it will happen. I know he’s right, but equally still really annoying 😂
How are you feeling today? What day are you now? X

RBCoxie · 22/10/2020 21:18

@Supermathsdoc I'm due AF a couple of days after @MummyToPrince but let's be realistic - I'll end up testing earlier than my AF date 😂 that's interesting about age and ovulation/peaks! Maybe I ovulated a bit later than I originally expected. Who knooooows!!

@MummyToPrince ah you've got EWCM too!! It's so odd isn't it?! I'm still trying to make sense of it and can't. I seem to get it more in the evenings too.

@BettyM90 it definitely looks like your lines are getting stronger to me! I try to take them at the same time each day and then compare those at the same time for each day (if that makes sense?). If that was your peak then you still have fertile days ahead of you - so there's definitely still time!

@robodo only one week to go - you've totally got this! Could you potentially buy tests but specific a delivery date so you know they're coming?

Supermathsdoc · 22/10/2020 21:19

I'm 6DPO, trying to stay relaxed and remember that it hard to pick just one day! so this is likely to be a long journey for me, but somehow within that also stay positive and think, but also it could happen this time!

Also doing some last minute prep for my interview while simultaneously Googling random symptoms that I probably don't even have......

MummyToPrince · 22/10/2020 21:31

@RBCoxie yeah I've got it but it's mixed in with creamy cm almost yellowish 😷 makes me gag 😂 I keep reading other threads and some say it's a good sign of fertilisation and others say they had it before there BFP and a few that day it's normal for them, I suppose time will tell ... I don't want to test early I would like to wait until next Sunday but I don't honestly think I will, I mean I'll try x

RBCoxie · 22/10/2020 21:37

@MummyToPrince lol sounds lovely 😂 tbh that all sounds positive reasons for getting it so I'd be happy with any of those! I don't know whether to DTD tonight or not - part of me thinks if I'm getting EWCM then I should, just in case, but the other part of me is bloody exhausted and thinks if my OPKs are not getting darker then I've definitely ovulated and I can give it a rest now! Yeah the earliest I could test is next Sunday and that's 12DPO so 2 days later than before. I can see me testing then tbh - I need to buy tests though so maybe that's how I'll hold off! x

MummyToPrince · 22/10/2020 21:46

@RBCoxie Lmao glamorous part of being female 😂 I checked and some an opk and it was negative in not going to bother, plus sperm can live up to 5 days so I think you are safe if you don't dtd .. Yeah I need to buy tests to.. I worry I'm going to crumble at 8 9 10 dpo x

OP posts:
MummyToPrince · 22/10/2020 21:47

Done not some .. Sorry I'm on my tablet

OP posts:
RBCoxie · 22/10/2020 21:57

@MummyToPrince honestly being a female is just ridiculous sometimes 😂 I've barely felt any 'symptoms' today. Maybe it's because I was distracted with work, no idea! Yeah that's very true actually about sperm living for 5 days. I think I'm going to give it a miss - it's been 8 days, I need a break 😂 we can do it! I think if I aim to get to 12DPO (Saturday, not Sunday!) I'll consider that a win. You've gotta do what's right for you though 😊 x

MummyToPrince · 22/10/2020 22:05

@RBCoxie couldn't agree more with you! I've not had anything this month compared to last month mild on and off cramps only slight tender boobs and cm ... I dtd loads when I thought I ovulated the first time and then realised I didnt ov so when I actually did ov I only dtd on the day of my peak and the day after, but with that being said my son was conceived from only dtd once! We can do it your right, we really have to be head strong, I would ideally like to test on sunday

OP posts:
RBCoxie · 22/10/2020 22:12

@MummyToPrince same! Last month I swear I felt loads more, but it was my first month so maybe I was looking for it? I just don't know! The one thing that's definitely different this time is sensitive nipples from ovulation - that didn't start until 7DPO last month. You're right, it only takes one time! I'm just so pleased you caught your actual peak! Do you mean next Sunday?

MummyToPrince · 22/10/2020 22:45

I had more cramping last month than this month but it's still early, I'm so glad I decided to test that morning! Was so lucky, yeah next Sunday lol and last month I had sore nipple and sore boobs from ovulation but badly any discomfort this time .. Strange isn't it x

OP posts:
RBCoxie · 23/10/2020 07:48

@MummyToPrince yeah I keep trying to remind myself that it's still early. Next Sunday is a good goal! With an FRER, I'm sure that would pick it up for you then! x

RBCoxie · 23/10/2020 07:57

Okay, so. Confession time...

I bought tests this morning.

BUT. They were from Amazon, FRERs, and delivery time was only available between 30 October - 2 November and they were half the price of the likes of Boots/Superdrug. So technically I won't have them in the house until later anyway but I know they're arriving so I have to wait 😊

I feel less guilty now 😂

BellaBella84 · 23/10/2020 08:39

@Supermathsdoc Good luck today, it's yours for the taking! 🤞❤️

Supermathsdoc · 23/10/2020 08:40

@BellaBella84 oh wow! That’s so kind of you to remember ! Thank you x

robodo · 23/10/2020 08:54

I'm honestly losing the plot today, please convince me not to buy frer because I know ill take one tomorrow and I'll only be 9dpo but the temptation is so strong
