@MummyToPrince yeah I'm really confused. I've googled so much and everywhere says it happens before or during ovulation - no where says after - so maybe I haven't ovulated yet?! Although my OPKs have dropped to pretty much nothing ever since my peak on Sunday! The thick CM is a good sign 😊 that's exactly what I thought I was going to have yesterday 😂 x

@robodo those are great signs! How many DPO are you again? x

@RBCoxie could it be from having sex? I had what I thought was ewcm right before my period but was from having sex not ovulation, I did also read somewhere last month you can get it again in your cycle due to hormones but the second time would not indicate ovulation, I will try and find it again.

@robodo oh that's interesting! Potentially! I would have thought I would have noticed in earlier on in the day though if it was due to sex. I noticed it as I was getting ready for bed so 24 hours after last DTD. Maybe it's due to the second hormone spike - who knows!

@RBCoxie I remember reading that you can get EWCM when the egg has been fertilised, I could be wrong though.. Could it be the left over from the preseed? I hope it is a good sign as I don't have sore boobs or anything just mild abdomen cramping x

Todays list of distracting jobs will take me on an 8 mile walk around the city. I could cut that down to 7 miles by using the post office in town but that would mean missing out on a GG coffee. I will be stepping through the doors of superdrug today, let me stay strong!

@MummyToPrince I would LOVE for that to be the case! It could be preseed, although that tends to be more watery than EWCM. I just don't know why it appeared at night and not throughout the day. We DTD just in case anyway so it's fine but I'd just love to know what's going on. It's definitely a good sign - means you're definitely in the TWW x

@RBcoxie how strange and random for it to only appear at night, so your still 3dpo right? Times like this I wish our pee really did change colour lol x

@RBCoxie I done a OPK 2 days ago could barley see the line it was 0.08 done another one today and it's rising its 0.30 x

@MummyToPrince weird right! Yep! Supposedly 3DPO today. I'm trying to work out the maths. I had my peak on Sunday which means extreme case I could have ovulated 48 hours later - Tuesday. Then I had EWCM on Wednesday so a day after ovulation? Normal? Who knows! I just want purple pee!! 🟣😂 did you have less diluted pee today for your OPK today potentially? x

@RBCoxie why do our bodies do this! I want purple wee too 😂🤦‍♀️ I've googled everything for it and no one has an answer! I had a mad idea this morning and thought shall I buy tests! Absolutely not! 😂 The one I done 2 days ago was fmu and today's was SMU x

@MummyToPrince me too! I'm going to keep taking OPKs, monitoring CM and DTD until I'm absolutely sure I'm past ovulation. Can't hurt to keep DTD can it?! Oh interesting! May be worth keep doing OPKs just in case - I'm definitely going to continue with them! x

@RBCoxie yeah I would DTD for next 2 nights if you can, my son noah bless his heart! Sorry for tmi but I'm sat on the toilet gagging because of this thick cm 😂🤦‍♀️ and he's knocking on the door saying 'mum ok?' 😍

How’s everyone doing?

I havnt anything I don’t normally notice around this time in my cycle. I’m 6DPO and my temp dropped this morning which I guess is the second oestrogen surge.

I think tbh I left it just that bit too late this month. But hopefully I will be able to time the next one better (unless of course this is the somehow the one, in which case I’m gonna have an OPK bonfire)

@Supermathsdoc I've just got mild af cramps and thick creamy cm.. I think you done really well with timing, do you have a date on when you will be testing? I don't feel hopeful this month but I'm hoping everyone has a BFP.. We could all have a OPK bonfire haha! I would like to try the OPK trick though to see if it actually works if your pregnant

@MummyToPrince yeah that's the plan! I'm overthinking everything now 'what if we've DTD too much?' 'Will DTD stop implantation?' - honestly this does nothing for anxiety! Omg that's so cute of your little boy ❤️ absolutely love the name Noah too! What's the OPK/pregnancy trick btw?

@Supermathsdoc it sounded like you had timed it really well! What makes you think it was too late? A quick google shows that the second estrangement surge happens around 6DPO so it sounds spot on to me! Loving the sound of an OPK bonfire! 🔥

@RBCoxie I don't think it will stop implantation because say your egg has been fertilised surly your cervix will be closed? And if you can have sex during pregnancy I can't see it doing anything.. Apparently some women have got a positive OPK and been pregnant at 11dpo I wonder if it actually works, if one of us get a BFP we need to try it... The surgeon chose noahs name 😂 we wasn't sure on names and after 44.5 hours in labour and 2 week stay in hospital me and my oh agreed with the name noah x

@MummyToPrince how many DPO are you? I’ve lost track of the messages with your suspected second surge! I think both your symptoms could be either way....same here really hoping we all get the outcome we want, and trying to stay positive.

I will test on the 29th I think as it’s the first day I’m due on. If it comes it will save me a test!

That’s very kind about the timing, but it was so down to the wire that I’ve either nailed ovulation day or been too late. Given all the info about most people getting pregnant 1-2 days before ovulation, and how long sperm survive vs. the egg, it was a bit silly to leave it so late with my one shot! But it’s all a huge learning curve for me.

I stumbled on a forum yesterday called ‘the Bump’ I think it’s American and oooff it’s brutal. Have any of you seen it?

@RBCoxie I don’t think you can do it too much either. But you can definitely do it too little!

@MummyToPrince why did they use an OPK and not a pregnancy test at 11DPO? Was it because they’re cheaper??

@Supermathsdoc I'm 3dpo same as @RBCoxie.. My af is due the 2nd Nov.
But if you ovulate 12-36 hours after a peak then there is a chance.. What do you meant by brutal? No I haven't seen it, is it on here?

@Supermathsdoc they didn't have any HPT so they used an OPK and it come back positive and then when they done a pregnancy test that was also positive

I was reading that the older you get the closer to your peak you ovulate and I’m 38 so mainly I’m thinking I could have got my peak, ovulated 12 hrs later and then had an egg that lasted 12 hours and I would have been too late.... but I have no way of knowing, even if AF shows up, I won’t really know what happened. I clearly just enjoy torturing myself!

It’s not on here, it’s a separate website. I found it after my usual Googling ‘is [insert literally anything] a sign of early pregnancy’ and someone asked the same question on that forum - so I clicked on it, natch - and they were so harsh with this poor woman about how stupid it was to symptom spot. I felt very much put in my place.

Ah yeah I’ve heard that about OPKs I think the hormones are similar so you can pick it up, but if you do then a pregnancy test would also be positive I think.

When I first got pregnant in 2019 may which ended in a miscarriage, I done ovulations tests all month then I googled why I would get a positive ovulation test twice in one month and it came up as you may be pregnant, and I was
