Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 4

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@Juno231 so strange! Hopefully it stops soon for you. What CD are you now? Is it FW soon?

Ylladyoll · 01/12/2020 11:03

@Ylladyoll wow no need to be so sarcastic 😂😂 glad we could help 😆

How long have you been entering your data into clue? It’s very hard to say when you ovulated based on just one month. Have you been tracking your RHR long?

Ylladyoll · 01/12/2020 13:15

Yes for over a year, I've noticed on the months we DTD my period has been 28/29 days, on the months we don't my period is more like 32/33 days. So seems like a pattern. We live in different parts of the country and haven't seen eachother some months due to lovkdown which is why I'm seeing a pattern, I've only got my fitbit just before my last period and my rhr was 72, its not been that high this month, nowhere near, im wondering whether I'm having implantation misses, as on the months when we've done the deed, I've had symptoms in the TWW and an early is period. Could be that I'm 44 and peri which could explain the odd lengths of period.

I didnt mean to be sarcastic, I messaged in the early pages of this thread and didn't get much of a response either. If I'd not of posted again would it have been picked up I wonder?

LarasMama · 01/12/2020 14:48

@ChinChilly Great! Fingers crossed. I think minor ups and downs are normal. Within a few days you will either see an upward or downward trend as well as either a BFP or AF.

@mumof23188 That sounds so stressful. I can understand why you had to switch him to formula. Does he still have issues with regular milk?
Thank you! I hope she'll soon be ready to sleep better. :) She still nurses once or twice a night. She recently started nursery for 5 hours a day, so during the day she doesn't feed much anymore. I just hope it won't interfere with ttc. I had several friends who got pregnant even though they were still breastfeeding. So, let's see.

5 DPO, still strong carb cravings. I had some cramping last night and hot flashes. However, my RHR is still at 60. I know that it's early and implantation is quite unlikely at this point but I feel I'm out already. Simply because with DD my RHR started immediately rising by 1 bpm a day and implantation happened at 5 dpo with all sorts of strong symptoms. I just know that early implantation is favourable especially with a short LP.

@Juno231 I think a light period isn't too good. The endometrial lining needs to build up properly during the LP. Af should then be neither too light, nor too heavy. Could be a progesterone issue. That could also be an explanation for the spotting. Have you had your levels checked recently?

LarasMama · 01/12/2020 14:57

@Ylladyoll Hiya! How long is your LP? Could be implantation misses or early miscarriage. Have you had a scan to have follicles checked?
I think that would be really important to make sure there is no issue with egg quality as well as hormone levels due to natural aging of the eggs.

Ylladyoll · 01/12/2020 16:39

I would expect at 44 i would hardly get much help or investigation from any doctors. I would say that I have had 3 previous pregnancys 1 at age19, 1 at 27 and one at age 29, all were conceived after 1 time DTD, each time so never had to ttc before. It is probably an egg quality issue. My own mum had 7 kids however she had her last one at 32, my grandmother had her last child at 42. I suspect I'm just probably too old to get pregnant. I know it can happen, but I guess its not so much for someone almost 45 xx

LarasMama · 01/12/2020 17:15

@Ylladyoll My friend is in her forties too and just started clomid. So there are options. I would talk to your doctor and see what can be done.

Ylladyoll · 01/12/2020 17:45

I will when this whole covid thing has calmed down, 45 in April :)

ambs1994 · 01/12/2020 18:39

CD33 for me now, huge rise in the past week. Not sure when I've ovulated though, again didnt really track. Supposed to be due AF tomorrow/Thursday.

@ambs1994

This is very similar to mind when I got my BFP. Fingers crossed for you

lucyrp · 01/12/2020 21:36

I thought I might be 3dpo but not sure with my dip today. Had a temp dip too ☹️

Chlo2701 · 01/12/2020 21:49

@lucyrp don't worry about the dip, mine can do that after OV sometimes, the dip hasn't gone lower than when you OV, so I'd still say you were 3DPO

lucyrp · 01/12/2020 22:08

@Chlo2701 okays, il keep an eye on it tomorrow !🥰

SarahTTC2020 · 01/12/2020 22:24

@ambs1994 looks so promising! Will you test or wait for AF?

ambs1994 · 01/12/2020 22:26

@SarahTTC2020 probably wait to see if I'm late first and then test

mumof23188 · 02/12/2020 07:45

@Ylladyoll I’m sorry, I totally missed your post! Definitely could be implantation misses. It’s good that you know when you are fertile as that’s partly the hardest part. Now you have your Fitbit you should hopefully see a pattern with regards to Ovulation. Most tend to see a rise for OV then a higher RHR in Luteal phase and a big drop for AF. It does vary though, some months I have a drop for ovulation. Does it match up with clue this time? The apps are great but only if you have a good amount of data input. That must be so tough not being able to see your OH for so long. Any idea when you will see eachother again?

@LarasMama I loved breastfeeding, it was so much easier but I didn’t really want to give up dairy. Yes he still can’t have any milk products, he is on a total dairy free diet. Fingers crossed she does. Do you co sleep? I do think if your periods have returned then it’s all working? I must admit it was amazing to have no period for a year and a half 😂. I also could not stop eating yesterday again haha. That sounds promising, any change in HR today? I’m 7dpo and it’s gone up by 1! Can’t help but feel deflated.

@ambs1994 wow looking good!! Fingers crossed 🤞

@lucyrp yay to OV!!!!!!! 🎉

Ylladyoll · 02/12/2020 08:29

We hoped to see eachother 18th December, but with being both in tier 2, we probably won't be able to. I think that we are just seeing if a pregnancy happens, but if not, and he is moving in 2022, we will get a couple of cats when I'm 46. I think I'm just broody as fertility coming to an end, maybe having something to baby will help. In theory pregnancy could happen any time up to menopause but its quite rare xx I think the app is close and I probably do ovulate around mid month. I think I'm just concentrating on health, and maybe one month I might release a good egg, everything will align and we may get lucky.

lucyrp · 02/12/2020 10:47

Ovulation confirmed on Femometer this morning so currently 4dpo but my rhr is not playing ball 🥺

mumof23188 · 02/12/2020 11:03

@Ylladyoll ah such a shame you won’t get to see eachother. It’s tough isn’t it 😩. Hopefully 2021 will be better!! I think your plan sounds good, just go with the flow and i Hope it happens for you. Feeling broody is hard to deal with isn’t it. Hopefully 2021 will bring good news for us all 🤞

@lucyrp yesssss! That’s great. Don’t worry about HR yet. It’s early days. Mines 63 at 7dpo! Hoping it bloody rises!!!

Here’s my chart at 7dpo!

lucyrp · 02/12/2020 11:06

@mumof23188 it really is great if I definitely have as its 20 days earlier than last cycle ! Started the seven seas this cycle so thinking they might have helped already! 😄 don't like to say too much too soon though ! Fingers crossed for you yours rises soon! This is my ff chart it thinks I ovulated a day earlier than Femometer but I don't think its right. I still can't figure out how to add my rhr to ff 😫 someone explained to me and I honestly don't think I have the option on my app!

Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 4
mumof23188 · 02/12/2020 11:14

@lucyrp that’s amazing. 20 days earlier 😱. Let’s hope it’s a definite 🤞. Thanks 🙏🏼. Do you pay for the ff app? I paid for a month and I was fiddling about with the app and somehow managed to do it! It wasn’t easy to find tho!

lucyrp · 02/12/2020 11:16

@mumof23188 i know! I ovulated on CD45 last cycle and it was 59 days long and this one is only predicted to be 39😱 noo I don't I pay for Femometer but not ff! How much is it ? Is it worth it ? I've looked so many times to no avail 🤣

MissBPotter · 02/12/2020 12:36

I think today might be ov day! Only cd11 so probably not ideal but rhr up again after a dip and thought I could feel it this morning. Have only dtd once again which is annoying, I don’t want to pressure DH but need to get on with it!

@mumof23188 Your chart looks good, hopefully more of a rise in the next few days.

@LarasMama I conceived dd2 while breastfeeding, on the first try actually! Was quite a shock. Dd1 was about 16 months so not feeding that much by then, but I carried on for about a month after my bfp, but then the milk seemed to stop.

@lucyrp yay for shorter cycles! We have the opposite problem Grin

Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 4
mumof23188 · 02/12/2020 16:17

@lucyrp that’s so much better for you! 20 days shorter 😱🎉. I paid ten pounds for a month but it’s cheaper if you buy a few months at a time but I just wanted to test it out. It’s quite good, it gives you more info. I took a screenshot for you. Then you get access to the forums. I think if you like the one you’ve got them stick with it.

@MissBPotter yay for ov 🎉 what CD did you manage to dtd? I conceived my last baby on CD10 so it can happen ☺️. My dates were bang on all the way through aswell so I know exactly when he was conceived. Crazy when you think about it isn’t it!

Thank you! I’m praying for a rise 🤞🤞🤞
