Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 4

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

Fab news @Alicespring!

@Juno231 wishing you the best of luck for this cycle, what a Christmas gift that would be Smile

mumof23188 · 25/11/2020 22:13

@Alicespring awww I’m so excited for your update ☺️🥰

@LarasMama yay 😁 I’ve been testing since my peak and all negative! Definitely have got to of ovulated yesterday. OH came home today unexpectedly and we DTD so feel like I’ve covered fertile days as much as I can. Glad to hear ov is approaching for you! Imagine if we have two sets of multiples on here 🎉

mumof23188 · 25/11/2020 22:15

Forgot to add that I’ve been taking 75mg aspirin daily. I’m unsure wether to continue! Wwyd if you were me? Started taking it a couple of days ago after my peak OPK.

Juno231 · 25/11/2020 23:23

@mumof23188 I'd say considering you've had a few CPs it's not a bad shout to try out the aspirin route! No idea about dosage though I'm afraid.

mumof23188 · 26/11/2020 06:32

@Juno231 thank you lovely! I’m going to carry on. I can’t see it doing any harm?! I read lots took 75mg so will stick with it!

LarasMama · 26/11/2020 08:46

@mumof23188 I’ve heard of taking a low dose of aspirin to prevent early pregnancy loss but have never taken it myself. Try but check with your doc when to discontinue if you get your bfp or if you should continue throughout the first trimester.
I stopped vitex and b6 when i got my bfp and was put on progesterone for the first trimester.

Oh, multiples would be crazy! And awesome that you got all fertile days covered! 😎 Opk turned positive last night. Hope dtd only once in my fertile window two days before ovulation will be enough. I think next month I’ll actively start trying. 😊🤗

MrsKin90 · 27/11/2020 08:04

Please could I gatecrash for a quick bit of superior advice? Just wondering if you think AF is still going to arrive (yes, I expect you to know everything) or if I should still be hopeful 🙄 and if anyone has had this and what was going on?
I hope you don't mind, I did join you all in an old thread once but clearly have commitment issues and couldn't keep up 😂
My RHR is being so weird. I marked O as a green dot and AF due date as an amber dot, I also got a BFP on this date when it was 70 and I was 15dpo. I had some spotting with my big drop back to 68 yesterday but now it's back up to 69?! I sort of either want my bfp or to know I should give up completely on this cycle now ☹️ I do feel like AF is coming with lots of 'hot' tummy cramps. But nothing since the spotting.

MrsKin90 · 27/11/2020 08:48

*that should say I got a BFN. I didn't get a BFP 😂 wishful thinking

SarahTTC2020 · 27/11/2020 13:57

@MrsKin90 it's possible that that u shape before your amber dot was an implantation dip as that's what I had although you would expect to see a bfp at 15dpo. It's promising that you haven't had a big drop yet, does it normally dive before AF?

Just a little update for the regulars, I had my 12 week scan today and it went really well, the baby was so wriggly 😊

MrsKin90 · 27/11/2020 15:22

@SarahTTC2020 that's what I was hoping but then a BFN and some spotting. Have had even more spotting today and another BFN 🤔 my RHR does similar to my BBT and dives off a cliff as AF approaches and then hits rock bottom when it's on full swing. I think I just need to wait for AF but it's so frustrating! If it's a no I want it to be a no asap so I can move on. Thanks so much for responding.

Congratulations on your wriggly baby scan 😊

Juno231 · 27/11/2020 17:17

@MrsKin90 Hm the only thing I can think of is that you ovulated later than you think? How did you confirm ovulation this cycle?

@SarahTTC2020 ah I can't believe you're at 12 weeks already! Congratulations on a healthy scan :) What's the due date again and does everyone already know or were you waiting for the scan?

SarahTTC2020 · 27/11/2020 17:27

Thanks @Juno231 due 7th June, we'd already told parents and siblings but told a few more friends and family today which has been lovely. It's so nice to give nice news this year!

MrsKin90 · 27/11/2020 17:42

@Juno231 I used BBT to track. I have PCOS and usually my chart is a bit rocky in the follicular phase, and then evens out in the LP but has done the opposite this cycle so a bit harder to be sure although did link in with my usual RHR ovulation pattern. I stopped taking my BBT when I was sure I ovulated though willing to accept maybe later than I think 🤔 bodies can be so annoying!!

LarasMama · 27/11/2020 20:52

@MrsKin90 Maybe your RHR will pick up again after today. If implantation happened late, you may get a BFP later as well. But with PCOS cycles to tend to be more erratic it seems. Good luck!

LarasMama · 27/11/2020 20:56

Needed to switch over to my mobile for the screenshot. 😀

So, i did ovulate yesterday evening and did feel it first on the right side and after an hour on the left. OPK turned negative as soon as I ovulated.
So i’m officially 1 DPO, RHR has picked up by 1 bpm.

How are you lovelies doing? 😊

GlassLily · 28/11/2020 03:12

I was filled with hope after a bumper month for RHR, but today it has dipped a little which is exactly the pattern of my usual AF approach. Can already predict that tomorrow it will drop by another 2bpm, then within 72h AF will be here and RHR will be way down.

Which is ok, because I got to 10DPO today and might even make 11 days of LP if I'm lucky, not too bad.

mumof23188 · 28/11/2020 07:30

@MrsKin90 hopefully your RHR will rise again today or as Juno said you may have ovulated later? Good luck!

@SarahTTC2020 ahh lovely news. Great to hear that all was well and you saw your wriggly baby. Will you find out the sex of your baby?

@LarasMama yay to ov!! So you felt the pains on both sides? Eeeek!!!

@GlassLily you aren’t out til AF shows 🤞

So ovulation confirmed for me wooohooo!! 3dpo today. I’m feeling strangely calm this cycle and don’t feel like I’m obsessing as much. Just feeling hopeful. Find it strange that I felt ovulation pains the day before? Is that normal? I don’t always get ovulation pains, just occasionally. HR isn’t doing anything yet.

SarahTTC2020 · 28/11/2020 11:06

@mumof23188 no we won't find out 😊 have always wanted a surprise
Fingers crossed for you this time xx

mumof23188 · 28/11/2020 11:35

@SarahTTC2020 ahh amazing 😍 so lovely! If I’m ever lucky enough to have another I’d love a surprise too. Thank you so much 💕

LarasMama · 28/11/2020 13:36

@mumof23188 Yay! Fingers crossed for you too! How’s your RHR? I’m 2 DPO. We’re almost at the same stage then. 😍 I keep going between being calm, excited and freaked out if it ends up being a twin pregnancy. 🙈

I felt it on both sides this month. So my doctor was right and both follicles popped. I do tend to feel it on both sides once every 3-4 cycles too, it’s interesting. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older. 😂

Honestly, I don’t understand the science behind these ovulation cramps as some sources seem to say that they’re most probably not at the same time as ovulation occurs. But for me it seems to be because I can comfirm with opks and RHR. 🤷🏻‍♀️

mumof23188 · 29/11/2020 07:43

@LarasMama thank you 🤞. My HR isn’t really doing a lot yet. It’s 62 today. Last cycle it didn’t start rising until 6DPO so I’m waiting to see what happens. How’s yours?

Yes I’m literally one day ahead! Eeeeeek!! So excited. Crazy how you felt both pop out. Twins would be hard work but amazing.

Here’s my chart! Interesting to see how HR ties in with BBT!

How old is your DC?

GlassLily · 29/11/2020 09:37

@mumof23188 I'm out. And only 10 days of LP which is a step in the wrong direction. This is too hard, does anyone else feel like they are living their worst nightmare?

MissBPotter · 29/11/2020 09:40

Hi everyone, how’s your Sunday? I’m cd8, probably need to get on with dtd soon. I decided to start on the b vitamins and I’m really trying to eat healthily this month, lots of green veggies and nuts etc. I must have the most boring rhr this cycle, hasn’t changed from 60!
