@Sleeeeeepy sounds perfectly reasonable to
me 😅

CurlyNo2 · 19/10/2020 20:37

Catching up on this thread made me laugh!

I've had a shit day, overloaded at work, just finished a 13 hour shift working remotely at home and now my 4 year old has to self isolate for 2 weeks!

I need to cry tonight to try and release some of this tension!

Felt little twinges like AF was on her way. It looked so promising over the weekend too

Keepeas · 19/10/2020 20:43
@Trying4mylastmiracle that's good news 😊

Good luck with cycle 8 @Loladoodle I've just looked and I'm on proper cycle 6 after about 6 weeks of naffing about at the start

If it hadn't been DH's birthday I just wouldn't have bothered again tbh, I need a holiday not a shag. I didn't tell him it was peak but I've noticed he is much more interested at that point in the cycle, I think it must be the pheromones (it's not the sexy vibes or special effort, he's lucky if I brush my hair)
@sleeeeeepy hahahaha
My OH asked me why I snorted, this has made my day 😂

We decided to pay to see a fertility consultant privately because I've been losing my mind, and we thought maybe it made sense to start looking into IVF. I thought I'd be frustrated if they told me that everything was fine and it would just take time, but actually it was such a relief to have someone who knows what they're talking about take the time to listen to all my concerns and reassure me that everything is fine. All the numbers are slightly lower than average for my age, but still good, so I'm feeling really positive again that it will (eventually!) happen for us. 🤞
Wishing everyone else luck too!

Trying4mylastmiracle · 19/10/2020 21:31

CurlyNo2 · 20/10/2020 15:24

Think I'm out this month as I've been having heavier than normal spotting 😔

Trying4mylastmiracle · 20/10/2020 21:20

@CurlyNo2 sorry to hear that atleast you have a normal cycle mine started yerstday no spotting nothing just a lot when I wee then turn into a full period within an hour heavy then today Slow down and I think tomorrow might be last day seems to be slowing down just went for a wee realised I didn’t to change my sanitary towel since about 6 o’clock there was just a bit on it so really which means my cycles are still all over the place that’s the second time now so feel a bit down really I thaught this was gonna be my first proper period didn’t even need paracetamol for the cramps 😒another month to wait for my 2 or 3 day period

CurlyNo2 · 20/10/2020 22:27

Ah I'm so sorry @Trying4mylastmiracle, its bloody tough being a woman!

Heres to our next cycle! X

Trying4mylastmiracle · 21/10/2020 12:08

Well I woke up this morning my period is completely gone so it lasted two days anyone ever had this before ? so again sat here like 🧐so grab a test today and do one tomorrow morning just to make sure my period was due tomorrow

CC81 · 21/10/2020 12:50

@Trying4mylastmiracle - Have you had any tests to check your hormone levels?

If not, I'd definitely advise it. If you have a deficiency (in progesterone, for example), you may be able to get treatment from your GP to help.

Trying4mylastmiracle · 21/10/2020 13:02

@CC81 no I haven’t it’s never crossed Lyn mind but now you mentioned it might be something worth looking into might explain things a bit more thank you

Sleeeeeepy · 21/10/2020 14:44

@Trying4mylastmiracle I quite often have a couple of days then a gap then more days bleeding. My cycles were pretty short though and I think my hormones are probably a bit out of whack - I've found b vit complex useful to lengthen my cycle but still getting the gap.

An update on the sexy fun times, I've now got cystitis. FFS.

Trying4mylastmiracle · 21/10/2020 15:28

@seleepy I really thaught this month was the one I get my proper AF I can’t believe I’m sad about not getting a proper period but here I am oh no I hope you feel better soon no sexy fun time for you till you feel better lol atleast you don’t have to explain me I don’t even no sexy fun time at those I’m happy with crisps and chocolate

Loladoodle · 21/10/2020 16:53

@Sleeeeeepy I used to drink cranberry juice by the gallon for this but I started taking cranberry tablets from Holland and Barrett a couple of years back and I’ve NEVER had another bout since! Highly recommend as part of your daily vits!!

Sleeeeeepy · 21/10/2020 17:40

@Loladoodle Ahhh great tip, thanks! I've not had a bout in ages, I'd forgotten how painful it is!

Loladoodle · 22/10/2020 09:22

@Sleeeeeepy it’s grim! Feel better soon!

claireb7rg · 22/10/2020 11:56

Now on cd5 but think I'm done, I'm not going to open a new box of opks (have an unopened box of cbd advanced sticks in the cupboard) and am getting fed up of temping for it to go nowhere

I've cried myself to sleep the last few nights as I think I'm grieving for the child we can't have. And in fact typing that has just set me off again 😢.

Good luck to all of you but think I'll only pop back in to update you after our fertility app on the 11th November as its too hard to be on here now

Keepeas · 22/10/2020 13:37

@claireb7rg I'm so sorry 😞 this is such an incredibly difficult process to go through.
Definitely understand the desire to walk away from it all. I hope that taking a step back from all the monitoring gives you space to grieve...and its not like the monitoring is what makes you pregnant anyway!
🤞fingers crossed for you that it happens once you've stopped expecting and hoping it will.

LT103 · 22/10/2020 14:16

@claireb7rg so sorry you are going through this!! Hopefully the appointment will bring you some options!! Take care and maybe a couple of weeks not thinking about it all will help. I think it’s easy to get to the stage it’s all you can think about!! I’ve def not been as proactive with all the monitoring last couple of months, it has helped a bit!!

Trying4mylastmiracle · 22/10/2020 14:57

@claireb7rg I’m sorry you going through a hard time give yourself time cry if you need to whatever makes you feel better and yes the monitoring can make you hope I stopped opk’s long time as I never got a positive and we also decided to stop for a while we just gonna do it as normal if it happens it will be a miracle but for now I doubt it we stopped as my body ain’t responding to any of it think I left too late

Highlandmama · 23/10/2020 10:19

@claireb7rg sorry you are having such a tough time. Out for this month ladies. Roll on cycle 6. Also the mice are back in the loft, directly above our bedroom!! Argh. So maybe mice reproduce on some sort of 28 day cycle too?! 🙄

CurlyNo2 · 23/10/2020 22:12

I'm so sorry you are having a tough time! X

AF arrived 3 days early making this a 25 day cycle. That's never heard off with me, its always 28 and has been for years, without fail.

Vie8126 · 24/10/2020 07:52

Hi all, can I join? I'm 39 and ttc #4 but 1st with DP whose 30. We've been ttc now for 11 months its draining emotionally! I had so much hope to start with but each month its waning. Had a CP in June which was horrible for us both but positive was that well hey at least I work still albeit not completely. Been using CB 4 day opks for last 3 months been getting highs and peaks but my cycle has also changed from 28 days to 24 the last 3 months so starting to think it's declining fertility. AF due Monday but can feel it coming on have cramps and am so irritable/snappy - god help DP! Feel like throwing the towel in as it's never happening so just needed to offload and talk to others in the same boat!

Half term for me now too so looking forward to some r&r this week with my youngest who started year 7 this term and had a rough ride.

Trying4mylastmiracle · 24/10/2020 10:26

@CurlyNo2 😂 we always on the same boat me too that’s exactly what happened to me now I’m just a miserable person really like I’m not that old why is my body failing me soo much oh you can only laugh otherwise you will be drowning in pain which I am coming to terms with it all .

Trying4mylastmiracle · 24/10/2020 10:29

@Vie8126 welcome 😊

LT103 · 24/10/2020 12:06

@Vie8126 welcome. I’m 38 and ttc#1. We’ve been trying for 6 months (although timing wasn’t great last 2 so I’m not really counting those). Have you had any tests done? I’ve decided to give it til xmas and if still nothing then I’ll contact the doctor. I had my d21 progesterone checked a couple of months ago and that was fine at least. I always ovulate though this cycle im going to be later than usual. Day 20 and still no peak opk 🤦🏻‍♀️
I totally get you. I always feel so optimistic with every cycle but as time goes on I’m starting to lose that a bit. I knew it would be longer at this age but I just worry it’s not going to happen!!
