No idea how we managed to smash through 1,000 messages (40% of them are probably me anyway, ha!) in such a short space of time, but a new thread is needed for the post pill TTC party, so here it is...

Tag anyone I've forgotten please, and new party-goers always welcome :)

Juno231 · 05/10/2020 12:41

Sarahp2308 · 05/10/2020 12:42

Here’s to the next 1000 messages 😂😂

PumpkinEverything · 05/10/2020 12:44

Haha, it was a very short amount of time! I wanted to be sure to read all the posts so I could see what everyone was saying, and I remember thinking wow, I’m only halfway through but the date was only a few days ago Grin glad it’s so active! It’s great company

Sarahp2308 · 05/10/2020 12:46

@PumpkinEverything so true about it being active, it’s good to have people to talk to going through the same thing

AMS19 · 05/10/2020 12:51

Yay love the name!!!

I'm CD18 from withdrawal bleed. O DPO 👎 haha

Flowerkm · 05/10/2020 12:53

@MintGreenLife Thank you Smile heres to another party 🥳🥳

MintGreenLife · 05/10/2020 12:59

@MintGreenLife Me too!! 😂

LisaLx · 05/10/2020 13:20

Does everyone's period go awol after stopping the pill? I finished the month had a period and now I'm off. I am cycle day 13 x

MintGreenLife · 05/10/2020 13:28

@LisaLx I'm not sure what you mean? If you stopped in the last couple of weeks you wouldn't expect AF for 20-30 days-ish. Did you get your withdrawal bleed? x

Sperr · 05/10/2020 13:33

@kay00 I think I might be copying your late ovulation!

Annoying that you start to think what ever tinge could mean! But my bloating is going down!

Does anyone check their cervix?

LisaLx · 05/10/2020 13:35

I completed the full packet of my pill, stopped as normal and had a period. This is me now trying to conceive but is my period unlikely to show up next month because I've stopped the pill? Sorry it's hard to explain what I'm meaning x

Kay00 · 05/10/2020 13:54

@Sperr yes, but my cycles are settling now (i hope) with the use of some B-Complex vitamins.

I also check my cervix.. it is a real revelation and I highly advise it. I'm currently CD14, no positive OPK yet, my temperature is still below the base line and my cervix is firm (sometimes high and sometimes medium high). As I approach ovulation (hopfully in next few days) I should get darker and then positive OPKs, my cervix should rise and become soft and then I will get my temerature rise. My body is a bit rubbish at EWCM, so I will be relying on these indicators to show me when I ovulate :)

Sperr · 05/10/2020 14:00

@Kay00 what vitamins are you taking please? I started checking my cervix a week or so ago- truthfully I’d never even really been up there 😂. It’s high at the moment and getting softer

Kay00 · 05/10/2020 14:06

@Sperr I wouldn't recommend them until you have had a few cycles to see what yours is like. But i'm taking a B-Complex with high Vit B6 (100mg) and Vit B12 (500ug) from CD 1-10 (pause to allow ovulation - this has helped bring my ovulation forward from CD27 to CD18) then from Ov day to AF begins (this was to lengthen LP from av. 9 days to 14 days).

I know what you mean about never being up there - haha! I was like.. wow! I'm 35 years old and had no idea!!

Sperr · 05/10/2020 14:29

@Kay00 I’m definitely glad google existed when I first checked it- I really panicked and thought I was broken 😂. I’m not worried about getting pregnant necessarily this month more just getting to know my cycle!

Kay00 · 05/10/2020 14:41

@Sperr yes, totally, just relax into it, there is so much to learn and it is so easy to get panicked and stressed about every little thing. Best to take a couple of month to settle into things before getting too hooked up on anything :)

MintGreenLife · 05/10/2020 14:45

@LisaLx your bleed after stopping the pill isn't a period, so to speak, that's your withdrawal bleed. Apparently most women will ovulate within 2-4 weeks after stopping the pill, and AF would arrive two weeks after ovulation (assuming your luteal phase is normal), so your first AF after the pill should arrive 4-6 weeks later, and as you're only on CD13 then you're a fair way off. This isn't the same for everyone though, some people take several months to have their first AF. Hope that helps? x

Juno231 · 05/10/2020 14:47

@LisaLx it really depends! I went straight into having fairly regular cycles after the pill whereas others here waited months to have their period. Hopefully yours will show up in two weeks though!

lilacflower12 · 05/10/2020 14:56

@LisaLx I’m the same, just come off the pill, had a withdrawal bleed straight away for 3 days and am now on CD 9 waiting to see if I ovulate although today I’ve been having bad cramps so I don’t know what’s going on there!

LisaLx · 05/10/2020 14:57

Thanks ladies x

MintGreenLife · 05/10/2020 16:08

Just got my blood test results back. GP says all normal. Results are...

FSH: 4.4
Prolactin: 205
Testosterone: 0.5

Didn't actually know they were testing FSH. Let me know if you know anything about the above results, quick google would suggest my FSH is a bit low, but GP seems to think it's fine.

She's advised DH does a sperm analysis and she's going to request my scan again after it was rejected first time!

OP posts:
MintGreenLife · 05/10/2020 16:37

Also FSH taken on CD21 may be completely unhelpful! Think now I've told everything looks normal, I'll carry on for another cycle or two, and maybe think about getting a private CD3 test done at some point if no luck x

Flowerkm · 05/10/2020 17:15

@MintGreenLife Thats good about the results and i agree about maybe going private. Its good thats an option :)

Hey to the new ladies Smile xx
