@Theawkwardblonde I think we had 2 success stories on the previous version of the thread in the autumn, so it does happen and helps keep hope alive.

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker great that he's taking them! Should see an improvement by now then as usually takes 3 months to regenerate. Make sure he lays off the booze and cigarettes if he smokes and make sure he does some exercise too.

Af arrived for me at 5pm on New Year’s Eve, I’d been ridiculously emotional all day, bursting into tears all over the place, so it’s a relief to get the witch out the way and start afresh this year!

Started my levothyroxine on 1st Jan and been getting headaches since, hopefully it goes away over the next few days. It says it's a common side effect.

I wish I needed WFH wear haha, I am still going into work as I'm NHS. We have so many covid patients now it's insane. Nearly 3 times as many as back in April! I'm worried I'm going to catch it just when I start treatment 😬

@Narwhal88 wow well done for doing what you do. Such respect for nurses and doctors! Can you get the vaccine or won't because of ttc? Are many of the patients older or obese or is it a real mix? I've had friends who have had it but it's been like a cold or flu so no hospitalisation.

@Narwhal88 massive respect to you working for the nhs. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on getting vaccine (as @notyetamumbuttrying has asked) due to TTC. I'm ever so slightly envious of the WFH wear 😂 I'm emergency services too so none of that for me. I can only imagine the effect covid is having on you at work-it's making our shifts hell at the moment-front line policing/nhs working in a pandemic is not ideal 😂

I'm not front line but work on baby unit, spoke to fertility clinic (1st appt tomorrow!)as was worried about getting vaccine but they said risk if getting covid is higher than any other risk at the moment and the mhra has released info saying it's not saying don't have it, just they don't have full info yet to confirm completely ok for conception etx. I think if all other vaccines and how little side effects long term they have and thought if I do get pregnant or they want to start treatment I just won't have second dose. I also have lateral flow tests from work was terrified it'd come up positive before I had my appt!

I'm not frontline, I am in charge of medicine supply, including oxygen for 3 hospitals, so whilst it is stressful at the moment I have no direct contact with patients, therefore my risk is a lot lower. My IVF clinic have said if I get the vaccine I won't be allowed to transfer until 3 months after the 2nd dose, which could be 6 months away. So I am not getting the vaccine. If they change their guidance then I will get it as I do want it but I don't want to postpone for that long. It might be different if I were a nurse though.
