@WicketBasket um not sure when would be best to test, I'm not an early tester! I would personally wait untill af was few days late.

@kerrym87 hope af stays away for you!

ActonBell · 22/12/2020 08:33

Well, had another very clear positive test yesterday afternoon. Woke up this morning with period-like bleeding and this morning’s test is negative. Cried a lot but have to pull myself together to look after DS as DH is at work today. Sad Wishing you all better outcomes this month Flowers

crazycatlady1981 · 22/12/2020 08:51

@ActonBell so sorry to hear that, hope you can take a bit of time out today, take care of yourself x

@kerrym87 fingers crossed for you!

5dpo, but I’m starting to get cramps this morning! ☹️ It’s usually followed by spotting in a few days and then I know I’m out. Got my acupuncture session tomorrow so I’m hoping that will help! 🤞🏻

Tofu35 · 22/12/2020 17:19

A festive FW gang- @motherofkittens28 and @notyetamumbyttrying! Maybe the secret to a festive BFP is "loads of mince pies and wearing a paper crown all day". I'll give it a go Xmas Wink

notyetamumbuttrying · 22/12/2020 17:59

@Tofu35 so will I!! Xmas Wink
@ActonBell sorry about the bfn and Af, hopefully next month sticks!
@crazycatlady1981 hope acupuncture goes well!

So I'm awaiting ovulation. Due to ovulate on NYE according to the app, and guess what? At work throughout all of it 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
It's proving increasingly harder getting timing right around my fertile period.
We are in tier 3 where I am. I'm at work Christmas Day though so seeing no family, not even my husband. Feeling very sorry for myself today due to the final friend in my group announcing pregnancy. It just doesn't get any easier. I went a little bit overboard mast night and indulged far too much on crap food and alcohol 🤣 thought it would make me feel better however I'm still sat nursing a hangover now

Chel93 · 22/12/2020 22:35

Hii hope everyone is ok sorry I've been so quiet been up the wall with my little boy being in n out of hospital got his first op in Jan 🤞 and then Christmas and his birthday next week 😩
So I went back and seen the fertility doctor today after complaing being discharged with blocked fallopian tubes no explanation or anything so she seen me today and agreed on a laproscopy and die, to check my pelvis and ovaries and then my tubes do a flush of die which is supposed to be a lot better than a hycosy and if they are blocked they will know why. But she told me about a medication which is not prescribed by NHS you have to buy online, she said its used by the best fertility clinics in the US and over abroad clinics, its used by both men and women, she said with my partners morphology being so low this will take it right up as well as other benefits if they have low count or motility, also helps women to produce good quality eggs, also helps with women who are having ivf to have good egg quality, they are called impryl, the website is called www.fertilityfamily.co.uk, she couldn't say enough how amazing these tablets are and people with unexplained fertility and fertility issues have ended up pregnant off them she said there better than any high stress tablets you can buy, just thought I'd share incase anyone wanted to have a little look into them im going to order myself also being doing caster oil packs so hopefully all will help 🤞🤞

WicketBasket · 23/12/2020 08:50

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question. So AF came by yesterday (booo)! My question is, normally I have 35 day cycles but over the last two months they were 34, 32 and then this month, 29 day cycles! I’m worrying that this means my LP is shortening. Should I be concerned? Xxx

ActonBell · 23/12/2020 09:05

@WicketBasket - my understanding is variations of up to 7 days are totally within the bounds of normal and don’t necessarily mean anything is changing with your luteal phase. It could be to do with ovulating slightly earlier. Sometimes there’s just variation due to external factors like stress. I don’t think I’d worry unless cycles were getting really, really short, super long or very irregular (7+ days variation each month).

WicketBasket · 23/12/2020 09:51

Ah thanks @ActonBell! That makes sense! I guess I will monitor what happens this cycle and then go from there. To be honest, I’m just so sick of having to restart each cycle- the journey has tired me if that makes sense? Lots of love to you Flowers 💕 xxx

kerrym87 · 23/12/2020 10:06

@Chel93 that's hopeful for you! AF arrived at 4am and I'm in agony I've never had before, had spotting 4 days before which I never had and fit in with implantation and dip in bbt 10dpo. Had the worst nausea, food aversion, sensitive smell and boobs like cannonballs that were so painful! Really thought it was it this time as never felt like this before, hate getting hopeful! Clinic appt 6th so hopefully move forward with a plan, fingers crossed for all the rest of you. Getting merry and eating our vast mould ripened cheese mountain is my Xmas plan now!

tavileh · 23/12/2020 12:09

Hi ladies, my first Mumsnet post! Just finished 12th cycle ttc, and its really getting me down.. it hasn't been quite a year, I've got short cycles, but GP already signed me off to get the blood tests, which all came back ok. Just waiting for DH to do his.. don't want to have to do the whole medical thing, but I guess now we're 12 cycles in, that's the next step..
So hard to manage emotions at the end of each month, hopes always get raised even if I try not to let them!

Tofu35 · 23/12/2020 14:56

While it sucks AF has arrived (does she not know this month is for Santa only), enjoy your mouldy cheese and festive drinks @kerrym87!

Tofu35 · 23/12/2020 14:59

Welcome to the thread @tavileh! Sorry to hear you're in the 12cycle+ club, I hope your DH manages to get his tests done soon :)

ActonBell · 23/12/2020 15:23

Argh - so I said yesterday’s test was bfn. It wasn’t. It was a barely there line. And the same on today’s test. Photo 1 Close up is the positive I got a couple of days ago, Photo 2 is today’s faint line.

How long after a chemical before I get a negative test? I’m still bleeding and the lines I’m getting are fainter than the positive I got so I am not hoping for anything. I just feel I need to see a negative test so I can ‘let go’. Just want to move on and try to get in the festive spirit a bit. Anyone know how long the lines might go on for? I should probably leave testing for a few days now I guess. Thanks.

@ActonBell it may have bene a chemical :( thats really sad if so xxx have you had more beleding/taken another?

I just wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas- naturally I will be busy and not checking phone much the next few days so I will catch up and speak to you all in a few days :D

P.s ovulating in a few days so let's hope Christmas miracle happens 🤣🤣

ActonBell · 24/12/2020 09:55

@Annny27 Bleeding has basically stopped but I’ve essentially had a normal period, though 4 days long rather than my usual 5. The bleeding has been a bit weird at times - light pink and watery but then other times just red and like a normal period. This morning’s test still has a faint line.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas!

ActonBell · 24/12/2020 09:58

This morning’s test. Thinking the best thing is probably to forget about it as much as possible and test again in a few days’ time. Easier said than done!

@ActonBell sorry about the chemical. If you're bleeding and getting faint positives it may well be one. 🫂 Do try and forget if you can enjoy your Christmas x

@Motherofkittens28 thank you, same to you too x
