Hey!

Now on month 14ttc, feeling quite deflated by it all. Dp has a second seamen analysis this week so hoping that comes back OK. Just really tired and fed up with it!

SeriousComedienne · 28/09/2020 15:05

HI! I'd like to join please, I'm 32 currently on month 17 of TTC for first and losing hope.

Had SA which is fine (super sperm apparently?). Had private tests & scans which showed PCOS and fibroids (which I am about to get removed). Cycles generally vary from 26-40 days, but currently on CD 50!! with 2 BFNs. Started having cramps this morning, so I think AF is def. on the way - pulling my hair out.

notyetamumbuttrying · 28/09/2020 18:26

Same @RobinRose what was his first SA like? Mine has low count, motility and morphology!

@SeriousComedienne hopefully the removal is the thing that does it! Best of luck to you. When you getting it done?

OP posts:
RobinRose · 28/09/2020 19:14

@notyetamumbuttrying do gad slightly low morphology 2% , everything else ok. dp had a reversal so this was quite good but hoping it has improved (these results were 3 months post op)

notyetamumbuttrying · 28/09/2020 19:22

@RobinRose that's good it's only morphology then. My Dh was 2.3% so not great either. Only 14% in motility, should be over 32%! Hope it improves too! Has he done anything different lifestyle wise?

SeriousComedienne · 28/09/2020 19:23

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying removal is on the 8th October then need to wait 3months before TTC again. I hope that does it!

RobinRose · 29/09/2020 08:49

@notyetamumbuttrying I just hope these results are not worse than the last results! No not really, he has been taking multi vitamins (now on wellman conception) and C0Q10 which can help improve sperm quality.

notyetamumbuttrying · 29/09/2020 12:58

I hope so too @SeriousComedienne!
@RobinRose yeah they can, here's hoping all is good then! Keep us posted.
Mine still needs to start running, he's waiting on new gear so when that arrives I'll be on his case to get outside and run around!

Not hopeful for my cycle now as temps dropped 11 and 12dpo (still above coverline) but this happens every time I get a BFN so not getting hopes up. Just need to get OH's SA done to move forward I think. I said if this cycles a no go he needs to get on and do it! Fingers crossed forntje rest of you!

Tofu35 · 30/09/2020 10:52

Thanks @kerrym87! I hate seeing my temp drop and knowing what could be coming next. Near the end of the month I dread doing my temp!

Good luck with your OH's SA.

Not sure where I am this cycle, my two apps (one using temps, one just regular tracking) are telling me different things this month- not helped by the fact I had a cold around FW/TWW so my temps were playing silly buggers.

The graph is like the world's worst rollercoaster 😂

Jilly1988 · 30/09/2020 13:12

Just back from my ultrasound. The dr showed me that there was a tiny tiny darker spot in my uterus. She said it could be absolutely nothing and too small to comment if it could be a polyp. Not sure where to go next. She said the thing you could do is a hysteroscopy but as I went private that could cost £2k and there might be absolutely nothing. I have clomid and cyclogest to try for 3 months so might try that before going down that route.

The crazy ttc brain was hoping the dark bit could be an egg implanting 😂😂 can also depend on the crazy thoughts

Anitaatje33 · 30/09/2020 20:09

Hi all, so I had my HSG 2 days ago which came back absolutely fine, no blocked tubes. I should be happy but feeling deflated, we have now done all possible tests and scans and both me and hubby are totally fine medically. We've just hit the 1.5 year of ttc mark, all my hopes now on acupuncture, but not entirely convinced this will do anything as I'm not particularly stressed ..

Jilly1988 · 30/09/2020 20:34

Hey @Anitaatje33 we sound like we are in very similar situations. I know how it feels. Sometimes you think if there was something they could fix it etc. Did you get your HSG with NHS?

Anitaatje33 · 30/09/2020 21:15

@Jilly1988 I feel like I should be so grateful that everything is ok, that we just have to be patient, as so many here do have medical problems or male fertility issues.
Yes I had my first consult with the NHS on 21/9 (after having other tests done privately already), and got booked in for a HSG a week later! Don't know if I was just lucky they had a free spot

Whilstwewait · 01/10/2020 18:00

@Anitaatje33 Aw so glad it all came back fine but I get how annoying it is waiting and nothing happening you feel so unlucky. I had 4 acupuncture sessions the month I got my positive so it may do something to help. Although may have just been a coincidence. I had spotting from 9DPO which the acupuncture lady was keen to sort out. I never got any the following month and got my positive.

Hope everyone else is doing as well as can be. I'll keep checking in to see how you're all doing. I can't believe how low I felt when I set up the first thread. It really is worth all the stress when you get that positive and I know it'll happen for all of you. Xx

Luluspies · 02/10/2020 07:37

Hi new to the site, just lookimg for advice im in a similar boat to a few and everyones story is different, so we are TTC 12 months im 37 and my husband is 41, first time TTC for us both and I feel like im following all the advice and making changes to help things along. Normally im very active i like running and gym do a few weights nothing crazy really but I have been thinking should I try one month just a bit more relaxed just walks and no jumping about, i dont know sometimes I just think could it help?

notyetamumbuttrying · 02/10/2020 07:52

@Luluspies yeah you made it over here! Grin
Like I said previously I don't think it'll hurt to ease up on the exercise for a month just to see if it makes a difference. Personally I don't think it will as exercise is good for you, but no harm testing it out! Have you started investigations with the drs yet? For me that was the best thing we did as turns out my husband has low sperm, motility and morphology!! All the time I thought it was me and it was him...so defo worth getting tests done! Thanks

RobinRose · 02/10/2020 07:55

Anyone else try to convince themselves (every month!) that af isn't arriving even though you know damn well it is?! Had cramping for past few days now, trying to stay positive but I know I should be expecting af soon. This sucks ☹

Luluspies · 02/10/2020 07:59

We are just waiting for an appointment hopefully it will happen in the meantime and we wont need it. I already had a lot of tests a few years ago when i had a long period and it all came back ok, were both in the mindset where we dont mind helping things along but dont want to force it if it wasnt meant to be xx

Luluspies · 02/10/2020 08:11

@RobinRose yeah I do the same just think its trying to stay positive and as the preggi symptoms are similar to AF symptoms i always think its not over until flow arrives! haha

RobinRose · 02/10/2020 08:35

@Luluspies it is so frustrating isn't it? I try to have that mindset but I just know it is af! Think some chocolate is in order!

Anitaatje33 · 02/10/2020 08:48

@Whilstwewait thanks, just have to be patient, your story gives us all hope :)

Luluspies · 02/10/2020 09:21

@RobinRose It is and I have tried all kinds, may of possibly had a chemical in the past but thats the closest ive got, im due AF 9th so until then im going to chill out just walk the dog nothing to mad if anything is trying to implant I think it will help if I just chill out for a bit! Deffo get some choccie and have a movie day I did that yesterday!

Tofu35 · 02/10/2020 10:04

@RobinRose I'm in the "it's not PMS, shut up" stage. Sure I cried at "the write offs" (like massive shuddering sobs) and kicked off at my husband for leaving the toilet seat up and not helping clear up after dinner (two crimes in one day, lock him up) but that's my normal reaction to things... right? 😬 Haha!

RobinRose · 02/10/2020 11:07

@Tofu35 I am definitely in that stage 🤣haha perfectly normal! I think leaving the toilet seat should be be divoceable offence!

@Luluspies sorry about your chemical, that is really rotten. I haven't had a sniff of anything. Just found a 'share size' bar of chocolate..... there will be no sharing whatsoever!
