@Tofu35 haha this is me today! I'm raging at all my colleagues and my husband has gone into the bedroom. I think he can sense that I'm not to be crossed today lol!

Hi girls! Cd16 now and had positive opk yesterday and today so either ovulating today or tomorrow :D

I also have my first nhs fertility appointment on Monday so ots good to get the ball rolling. My husbands SA results still haven't come through which is a bit annoying!

How's everyone doing?

@notyetamumbuttrying you must be quite far into the tww now?

notyetamumbuttrying · 03/10/2020 09:54

@Annny27 morning! Glad you're feeling good hun! Our SA result took 3 weeks in the end. Had to do some chasing for it! Yep I'm 10dpo today but got bad pms yesterday so AF will be here Monday or Tuesday. Confused I've come to accept it now as until his swimmers improve, no bfp for me!

Morning all, how is everyone? For some reason I've been feeling really down and worried about the whole infertility thing for the last two days. I had planned to start ivf in April but now I'm worrying that that is waiting too long and maybe we should start sooner. I cant have my HSG until next cycle and I know it doesn't make sense to make any decisions until we know the results of that but I'll be 39 in February and im just so scared that our time is running out!

notyetamumbuttrying · 03/10/2020 10:58

@Motherofkittens28 how long until the results of the hsg? Can you start ivf in Jan instead? We've agreed that if the second SA in Nov is still bad that we'll start ivf in dec, so we could be ivf buddies if you start around then!

Jilly1988 · 03/10/2020 14:35

@notyetamumbuttrying our cycles are the exact same. I am 10 dpo and AF expected Monday or Tuesday. Not feeling very optimistic this month so just waiting for next cycle to try clomid and progesterone. Anyone know how long IVF waiting lists are these days?

Motherofkittens28 · 03/10/2020 18:00

@notyetamumbuttrying I assume you get the results pretty soon after you have it, if I can get the appointment next cycle then it would be at the end of October and results by early November I guess.
@Jilly1988 not sure about NHS ivf waiting lists as I'm too old to qualify, private you generally don't have to wait at all.

notyetamumbuttrying · 03/10/2020 20:46

@Jilly1988 I'm never optimistic now seeing as we know we have an infertility issue. I'm trying soya next cycle. Try and get a nice strong egg. Just hope Dh's swimmers are improving and can bloody find it 😂 we've been referred so when I get our appointment, I'll let you know!
@Motherofkittens28 that's good then. So dec or Jan could be when you start ivf then.
I'm getting a transvaginal scan on Tuesday! Bit nervous, but at least it's the last thing ticked off the list.

Does anyone mind me jumping on.
I had my copper coil taken out october 2019. I cant believe a year had gone by and I guess I now fall into this category. Gosh, no one tells you trying to get pregnant can be so hard. I have been with my partner for 15 years so I've waited a long time to start my family. After having the copper coil in for 8 years we decided last year it was time to start trying, I am 33 and my partner is 41.

In april 2020 I had one pregnancy that ended in miscarriage at 6 weeks 2 days. My GP was kind enough to send me for a few blood tests that week and confirmed my hormone levels and I wasnt imagining the positive pregnancy test.
Miscarriage is such a lonely loss and grieving process.

Over the pandemic I have been so busy and stressed at work (social work) we haven't been dtd as much. Although these last two months we have been really going for it again.
I haven't got into ovulation testing as yet, I think I might start next month if I dont get PG this cycle.
I'm CD 16 today but I think I already ovulated (I had very watery, slippery CM CD10.
I feeling positive this month so I am Symptom spotting daily and looking forward to testing with two FRER ready.

notyetamumbuttrying · 03/10/2020 22:26

@Yellowbaby1 best of luck for this cycle! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage!
I would defo recommend ovulation predictor kits just in case you're getting it wrong. Keep us posted x

Yellowbaby1 · 03/10/2020 22:28

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks for your comment. Yes I think it's time to start with the ovulation kits.

notyetamumbuttrying · 04/10/2020 13:18

@kerrym87 I notice your test date is tomorrow...is that when you'll test or is that when AF is due?
@Yellowbaby1 I recommend the clear blue digital ones, either pink or purple ones. One flashes and tells you high days, the other goes straight to your peak day. Good luck!

OP posts:
kerrym87 · 04/10/2020 15:52

@notyetamumbuttrying, AF due today as have 15 day luteal phase each time, however, 16th raised temp and nothing yet. Also BFN, totally stumped. Haven't got a FRER just 1st response test strips

kerrym87 · 04/10/2020 16:03

Sorry I meant one step testing strips

notyetamumbuttrying · 04/10/2020 16:36

@kerrym87 hmm that's odd then. Do you think you could have ovulated later?

OP posts:
Yellowbaby1 · 04/10/2020 16:47

@kerrym87 keeping my fingers crossed for you. Any symptoms of AF coming?

Yellowbaby1 · 04/10/2020 16:48

@notyetamumbuttrying those kits with refills that are around 20 pounds?

notyetamumbuttrying · 04/10/2020 17:15

@Yellowbaby1 yeah those are the leading brands but you can get cheapies on amazon etc. I just use the digital ones for ease, but cheapies work just as well so others have said.

Tofu35 · 04/10/2020 17:25

AF arrived today, so positive thoughts for this cycle :) good luck to anyone still waiting to test!

Yellowbaby1 · 04/10/2020 18:33

@Tofu35 your positive attitude is great
1st day of your cycle and your thinking good thoughts i need that mindset, I'm really sulky for a few days when af arrives

Yellowbaby1 · 04/10/2020 18:43

@notyetamumbuttrying what is the best time of day to test

notyetamumbuttrying · 04/10/2020 19:26

@Yellowbaby1 if you're using clearblue then mornings, if you're using the internet cheapies then the afternoon is best.
@Tofu35 sorry hun but great you're feeling so positive on cd1! X

kerrym87 · 04/10/2020 21:54

@notyetamumbuttrying I don't think so but attached pics of bbt chart for some other eyes, think I'm 16 dpo, have never got beyond 15dpo
@Yellowbaby1 not really felt weepy yesterday for no reason usually means AF coming but really upbeat at work today, still got sore boobs but nothing else

I got a BFN a few days ago so I was expecting AF, so it's more a 'good, that's here now. Time to focus on this month'. Although day two is always the mega cramps so I'll be wallowing a lot tomorrow, haha! @yellowbaby1 @notyetamumbuttrying

notyetamumbuttrying · 05/10/2020 08:00

@Tofu35 day 2 is always my worse as well! 😫 I feel for you! I'm due on tomorrow or weds so already have period pain and pms 😭 get boshing the painkillers!

@kerrym87 any sign of AF this morning?
