@re6ecca I've always found clear blue the easiest to use as there if no deciphering of lines! They are expensive but just a lot more straightforward. Some ladies do cheapy opks alongside. Most apps have an option for you to input opks as well which will help the app best determine your cycle xx

RichmondLady1981 · 11/10/2020 16:18

@re6ecca I agree- clear blue are easiest. Thus alongside bbt and OPK cheapies works well. Ava bracelets make it even easier to temp. Loads online. X

susiebluebell · 11/10/2020 16:20

@re6ecca I bought a box of Femometer ovulation test strips from Amazon and used them with the Femometer app. It's really intuitive and simple. I didn't track any other info on that app as I was already using Clue (to track periods more generally, and mood and dtd) but it did a really good job. I would say the most important thing is to take the photo of the strip in the same place/time every day (bathroom windowsill for me) as the light will determine how well the app can 'see' your lines. It was really accurate with ovulation within a couple of weeks of using it 👍🏻

Lollol86 · 11/10/2020 16:20

@Northernsoul90 I'm so sorry I can't offer any advice, I just wanted to say I'm so sorry at is messing you around. Wow having to wait for 3 missed periods and in the meantime what about your mental health?
Really hoping at shows up soon xx

@re6ecca I agree, definitely clear blue tests, I found them much easier to read rather than cheapies, but can use cheapies alongside which is what I done. Good luck x

Furbsies · 11/10/2020 17:00

@susiebluebell thank you and yes we should just keep going. I am so sorry you have had AF show up. On cd5 myself. Never really reached a peak last month so here's hoping for next month.

@nothernsoul90 I am so sorry. I've just been through a 48 day cycle with one faint positive and all negatives. I mentioned this to my GP and the cramps I had which were unlike my normal period cramping and was sent to do blood tests.

I don't have much else advice but I'd say check with GP and mention you are TTC..

re6ecca · 11/10/2020 17:15

@Lollol86 & @susiebluebell & @RichmondLady1981 & @Northernsoul90 thank you for your advice!!
I will probably buy the clear blue at the start of next month if this month's BD-ing doesn't work!! They just seem the simplest tbh and especially for a newbie like me to them. Praying and hoping that this month i get pregnant though! 🥰

Northernsoul90 · 11/10/2020 17:57

@Furbsies @Lollol86 Thank you for your replies ladies 💕

@Furbsies Yours sounds like a very similar situation to mine... I'm on cd 37 today (usually my cycles are 31/32 days). I'd have been disappointed but would have accepted af arriving and not being pregnant but the faint positive and late period have both really affected me emotionally - it seems so cruel like my body is teasing me.

What was the outcome of your blood tests if you don't mind me asking? Has af arrived now? If af doesn't show within the next couple of days I'll call my GP xx

Furbsies · 11/10/2020 19:18

@northernsoul90 I basically have a 32day cycle which turned into 48 days. And I had a faint positive that some people on here agreed was faint positive. I then tested the next day and the day after with negatives. And then explained this to gp. By the time I had my bloods it was day 40ish. My blood tests came back with numbers that didn't match up any place in my cycle. So I was sent for another blood test. Which ended up happening on day 2.so AF showed up. I get the results tomorrow so will let you know.

The initial blood test showed raised FSH levels compared to LH, Oestradiol and progesterone and I think it just confirms I have pcos...
Never had an irregular cycle, missed period or anything before

Furbsies · 11/10/2020 19:23

@northernsoul90 I'd suggest letting the gp know of the faint line when you call. That pushed my gp to get some bloods and also a beta hcg test done

Northernsoul90 · 11/10/2020 19:38

Thank you so much @Furbsies I had the exact same... faint positive then all negatives since then, quite bad cramping and no af. I think I will ring tomorrow. I hope your results are okay 🤞🏼 keep us updated xx

Furbsies · 11/10/2020 19:42

@northernsoul90 I had pain but that was not like period so I actually said that to my gp.

Fingers crossed you find answers and clarity. I was desperate for AF in the end because I just didn't know what my body was doing

Northernsoul90 · 11/10/2020 19:46

@Furbsies Me too I just want AF to arrive as I know I'm not pregnant... I'll let you know how I get on xx

Furbsies · 11/10/2020 19:51

@northernsoul90 Yes definitely and I'll keep you posted on my results that I'm getting tomorrow

VP91x · 12/10/2020 07:21

Morning all 💕

@chloedancer897 So sorry, I just saw your message thanknyou so much for your kind words. I am going to continue to keep pushing forward, try and lose weight but continue doing what I am doing myself. How are you? How are you finding this month? Xx

@MinnieMouse4 massive congratulations 💕 xx

@HappyVibes sending you lots of luck for your appointment today. What time is it? Hopefully you get clarity on exactly what is going on. Here for you afterwards to support whatever the outcome!💜

@KatiePlus3 I'm so sorry, I don't have fb! Are you on IG? X

@Lollol86 sorry hun, I just caught up this morning. Wow, 12 weeks already! So so happy for you, let me know how baby is getting on Tuesday. Bella is good! Growing by the second, haha. We have lapland UK booked for next month and I cannot wait! Yeah, that was the gynae said that until my BMI was under 30 he wouldn't help. However I have another appt with my GP and I'm going to ask to be seen by someone else or ask her what I can do next. I must be able to access some help it's crazy.

@Bellabubble yes, going to continue! My ovaries aren't working, haha. Yes definitely ditch the temping honestly it's not worth the stress and it is SO varied once you're in the early weeks of pregnancy. How are you feeling in general xx

@2alreadywantanother I hope you get a peak soon! Xx

@Northernsoul90 oh god, I am so so sorry it has turned to be a negative. I saw your later post and I would definitely call your GP explain the faint positive and hopefully they are supportive in helping xx

@Firevie I'm so sorry you got a negative too 😩 how are you feeling xx

@TJM123 gosh, I'm so sorry that you had a second loss. Thats awful. Please be super kind to yourself and take all the time out you need 💜 I hope you are being looked after xx

Hi All, just catching up on some of the recent posts. @HappyVibes - just reading about your PCOS diagnosis. I'm sure you feel all sorts of things but I have a friend with PCOS who has had 2 healthy pregnancies.

@Northernsoul90 - Sorry to hear re negative test. It all sounds a bit weird so I'd call your Dr just for peace of mind.

I've got no idea what CD I'm on, but I think I'm in the TWW. I mc Sept 18th and did ovulation tests that suggested I ovulated last weekend. So we DTD and are now waiting. Thing is, I've got no idea what my cycle will be post mc. I was 26 days before, but I know these things can take time. I'd normally expect my AF this weekend, but not sure if I should be waiting longer? Any advice?

I hope everyone is well and keeping positive on this freezing Monday morning! X

2alreadywantanother · 12/10/2020 12:41

Just popping in to say hi. Have been popping on here and there. Still awaiting af and CD1. Still doing opks hoping I ov b4 af due.
Feeling sorry for myself too. Tomorrow I'd have been 13 wks and should be heading for my 1st hospital appointment 😭god this really is crap isnt it.
I've been good this 2 wks. It hasnt all been bad. Met with my friend sat night while went through the same 3 wks b4 me. So its nice to have that someone who relates to what ur feeling.

Hope ur all keeping well x

MinnieMouse4 · 12/10/2020 12:41

Thanks for all your well wishes everyone! I had definitely ruled out this month which was a shocker.

I have only really just began to realise the full affect MC has had on me. This should be such a lovely exciting time of mine and OH lives but it’s actually quite the opposite. I have had some cramping and dark red/brown discharge when I have wiped for the past 2 days now and we are both convinced it’s happening again. I’m a nervous wreck which probably isn’t helping matters but I can’t stop myself. Xx

2alreadywantanother · 12/10/2020 13:06

@tjm123 gutted for you. Sending u big hugs. Hope ur ok. X

This is my biggest fear now. If I get another BFP I wont enjoy it, I'll be a nervous wreck worrying.

MRJ86 · 12/10/2020 13:17

@MinnieMouse4 I worry I'll feel like that if I conceive again. I've actually just done a FRER test (with 3rd wee) and it's come back like this. What do you think? Am I imagining it? I left it for about 10 mins so maybe too long so inaccurate? It's hard as I'm not sure what my cycle is or even when to test (as not sure when AF is due). I think, according to Clear Blue kits I'm about 9DPO.

Any views would be useful - have I lost my mind? Did I leave it too long?

MinnieMouse4 · 12/10/2020 13:21

@MRJ86 I’m not sure about the length of time but i can’t see what 10 mins would do. I can deffo see the positive line there though.

So whatever it is looks like it’s getting heavier. I’ll speak to gp tomorrow but I’m not holding out much hope 😭 xx

MRJ86 · 12/10/2020 13:25

Ah @MinnieMouse4 - it's awful feeling so anxious :( Just remember that bleeding is common in healthy pregnancies. So it doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. Check with Dr and in the meantime just monitor it (and try to take it easy - easier said than done, I know!). X

Lollol86 · 12/10/2020 14:13

@VP91x I will update you tomorrow. Oh yes Lapland, I'm so jealous, my friend has just booked for Xmas eve there, cost her a fortune. Have you told Bella you are going?
Definitely ask to see someone else, my bmi is over 30 and I feel so self conscious about my weight, the last thing I'd want is some doctor belittling me about it xx

Lollol86 · 12/10/2020 14:15

@MinnieMouse4 I'm so sorry you are bleeding, really hoping it's just a normal bleed xx

northerngal20 · 12/10/2020 14:22

hey everyone! just catching up on here now - i missed so much! hope everyone is doing ok. i took a few days away to clear my head after what i thought was my period coming on saturday - i had some small brown clots after three days of brown spotting and a bfn on a clear blue (period isn't due til tomorrow), so i let myself have a drink and some coffee fully counting it as cd1, and started using my cup. but then the spotting stopped by sunday, and didn't come back so i decided to take a test just now - and i'm unbelievably confused now, are these false positives? given the clots over the weekend i'm worried it's ectopic or going to result in a chemical later this week? i'm going to wait a few days and take a first response if i don't have any more bleeding. but also if it is an actual bfp and i drank this weekend i'll feel so bad! argh what a nightmare

2alreadywantanother · 12/10/2020 14:35

@northerngal20 ah no way. Congrats. No I wouldn't worry. My 2 previous pregnancies I would have drank the wkend b4 finding out and they are 11 and 10. Come to think of it, the last 1 I didnt and had a mmc 🤔 maked u think doesn't it.
The brown and spotting etc couks just be old blood removing itself from ur uterus.
