hey everyone! can i get your advice? i started having some brown spotting on cd 23 (second cycle since ERPC) which i hoped at the time was implantation bleeding, but it's since progressed and i think it's just my af now at day 26 (it's still dark brown though). has anyone had a shorter cycle since their miscarriage? my first one back was almost 6 weeks, and i used to be pretty much bang on 28 days, but this was way shorter and the colour's all off. i'm wondering if i need to see my gp or if this is just my cycle still trying to get back to normal. anyway, i think i'm out for this cycle!

RichmondLady1981 · 10/10/2020 12:06

@northerngal20 hi. I just had my period which was my third cycle AF. Exactly same happened to me. Had very light brown spotting for a couple of day. Never thought it was enough for full AF but then it came. Never had spotting before ERPC so thought it was a good sign. We are all different though so see how it progresses. X

northerngal20 · 10/10/2020 12:13

ahh ok thanks @RichmondLady1981 -- that's reassuring, i was starting to panic, and it's so hard to find anything out online about weird cycles after the first one! I guess i'll mark this as cd1 and just take it from there :)

RichmondLady1981 · 10/10/2020 12:23

@northerngal20 I’ve spoken to a few people about it and they say wait till you get more of a full flow to count as CD1. Not spotting. I know it’s a learning curve isn’t it. So many things different about my cycle now since my mmc. Now have spots on my chin at ovulation time (never ever before) and now spot a day before AF. Perhaps Body just needs some time to adjust. Have a good Saturday x 🤗

RichmondLady1981 · 10/10/2020 12:24

@northerngal20 ps it could still be implantation!

Bellabubble · 10/10/2020 12:40

@northerngal20 my first post mc was 31 days, then they flipped between 26-27days, with my last one being more normal at 29days. All af’s post mc started with 3-4days of spotting, but I only ever counted red fuller flow as cd1. My cycle just gone was 29days and it was the first time I didn’t really get any spotting, there was a tiny bit that eve, and when I woke the next day af decides to make herself known! It was my 8th cycle post mc that things were more like I was used to experience before.

2alreadywantanother · 10/10/2020 13:17

I'm of no use I'm afraid. Havent had 1st cycle yet 😥

northerngal20 · 10/10/2020 14:26

ok thanks so much everyone!! really good to know that spotting for a few days before and shorter cycles can happen - i'll see how the next few days go to see exactly when my next cycle starts. i don't think it's implantation as i got a bfn on a clear blue this morning (since the spotting started on weds i reckon if it was implantation there'd be some hcg in my system by now). it's all good - i feel like this is good practise for how the next few months could go, when we conceived the first time it was on our first month trying, so i guess at least this will teach me to have a little bit of patience throughout this whole process!

RichmondLady1981 · 10/10/2020 17:49

@northerngal20 same with us. We got married on 4th August 2018. Had unprotected sex for the first time on our wedding night and over our honeymoon, then I found out I was preggers the last night of honeymoon! That was with my DS who was born in May 2019. All very straightforward. I then fell pregnant second cycle with my second pregnancy before my mmc. Makes it so much harder when AF arrives when you’re used to catching quickly. My cycles are much more irregular (in terms of when I ovulate and my luteal phase) compared to before the mmc. Some bodies need more time to reset than others I guess. I’m now on third cycle of ttc after mmc.

Good luck for your next cycle 💕

2alreadywantanother · 10/10/2020 18:26

@Richmondlady1981 I totally get u. My 2 are 10 and 11, caught pretty quick. The decided in june to try caught in 2nd cycle, mmc in sept. 2 wks over D&C and worried my cycles will be all over the place. Plus I'm 40 so that's a factor too. Not even waiting for af to arrive, if I get an opportunity and ovulation between now and then I'll take it and try. Fingers and toes crossed

RichmondLady1981 · 10/10/2020 19:03

@2alreadywantanother I don’t blame you for going for it. Wow I bet your two are keeping you on your toes. I’m 38.. 39 next month so feel the need to get a move on now. 🤣. Also, I never tracked ovulation or did OPKs, wondering if I should just go au natural if things don’t happen this month. All seems a bit robotic and mechanical don’t you think? 😘

2alreadywantanother · 10/10/2020 19:06

I did. I tracked the, bbt and did opks, got peak last time so have been tracking this few days and nothing so far. Had ewcm this 2 days but nothing on opks.
Ah they are good kids. Do what they are told thank god.

RichmondLady1981 · 10/10/2020 19:33

Sorry meant I didn’t track or anything for my first. But I’m doing the lot now! 🤣. Good parenting! Not enough kids do what they’re told so good on you! Yeah keep with the OPKs. I find that’s the OPKs alongside CBD are a good combo.

Furbsies · 10/10/2020 21:51

Hey all. Hope you guys are well. Just had a little break whilst AF is around. Trying to keep to good mental health. Have had lots of babies being born and pregnancies being announced recently so have had a hard time trying to keep to a sane mental state

susiebluebell · 10/10/2020 22:06

@Furbsies it's hard isn't it. I've been spending the weekend with my in-laws and my sister-in-law is 7 months and starting to look really big. What to do? Can't avoid seeing it, can't ask them not to talk about it. My OH hasn't been hugely helpful recently, so it's a case of feeling the feelings on my own time and just not taking it out on anyone unfairly. I haven't got any answers but I'm there with you x

TJM123 · 10/10/2020 23:39

Hey all. I don’t know if some of you may remember me, I had a MC at 5+1 in June, well I got pregnant again (BFP on 24 August). I made it to 10 weeks but sadly the baby hadn’t been developing and I started bleeding just over a week ago. They’re letting me go through the MC naturally as nothing was showing on the scan. I’ve been bleeding for over a week now, has anyone had similar and how long did it last? Sending love to anyone who is struggling especially as it’s baby loss week, I know I’m finding things really tough. xx

Pugprincess · 11/10/2020 06:13

@MinnieMouse4 congratulations definitely positive 🌈❤️

@Northernsoul90 sorry you are getting messed about with it 😔

@Firevie really hopeful for you with that chart! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@TJM123 sorry to hear you are having another loss 😔 I guess the further you are the more you bleed? Hope it’s not too painful x

Firevie · 11/10/2020 07:33

Ladies had a major bbt dip this morning so tested / BFN 😔 so now I’m just hoping for af to start ASAP xxx

susiebluebell · 11/10/2020 07:36

Morning all, @TJM123 so sorry to read about your losses, my mc was like your first at 5+1ish. I bled for about 4 days but I think a week is normal, or longer if you're further along. Hugs

@HappyVibes so interesting to read about your pcos diagnosis - I mean that in the best way. I know quite a few people who have it (with kids!) but I didn't know it could be so.. asymptomatic? Got all my fingers crossed that you can now go forward armed with more knowledge and conceive with no problems 💕

susiebluebell · 11/10/2020 07:37

Oh so sorry to hear that, be kind to yourself. Maybe test again in a few days if you feel up to it? X
Northernsoul90 · 11/10/2020 08:15

@TJM123 I'm so sorry for your loss lovely, I think around a week is normal - I bled for almost 2 weeks after mva procedure. Sending lots of hugs your way ❤️

@Firevie I'm sorry it was a bfn, how many dpo are you? I'm 5 days late now no sign of af and no bfp so I'm feeling very fed up with it I just want af to arrive xx

Firevie · 11/10/2020 08:31

@Northernsoul90 thank you. I’m 13dpo and hope af starts soon! I was taking progesterone pessaries and think it says it can shift your af by couple of days so hope it will just start soon! I totally feel you! 😔😔 xxx

Northernsoul90 · 11/10/2020 11:11

@Firevie Fingers crossed for you.. you worry when your period is late I'm now thinking well why on Earth is is late is something wrong 😫 xx

Northernsoul90 · 11/10/2020 11:15

Any advice welcome please ladies... I'm 5 days late today, definitely not pregnant (clear blue ultra early negative this morning) but no signs of AF. I had a faint line a couple of days ago on an internet cheapy although this could have been some kind of evap line as I didn't see a line until hours after doing the test. All tests since have been negative. I had quite bad cramping around the time when af should have been but that has eased off. Is it possible to have some kind of chemical pregnancy missed miscarriage style and not start bleeding?

I'm not sure what to do maybe me stressing about it is stopping af arriving and I have been under quite a bit of pressure at work this month. Do you think I should contact my GP? I've looked online and the NHS website says they won't do anything until 3 missed periods?! I have attached the test pic that I saw a faint line on.

Hello, sorry think my last message was missed, is there any chance anyone can give me advice on the best ways to track ovulation &opks to use? We are going to start tracking this month because my app doesn't seem to cut it since my MC
