@MinnieMouse4 thanks hun! I have heard that before! I’ll deffo have a big research into it.

Very surprising. I did not realise that regular periods & regular LH surges each month would still lead to this.

I was absolutely devastated and heartbroken in all honesty. But I think it’s the shock of it all more than anything as I now realise I’m ten steps ahead and better to be in the know for sure xxxx

KatiePlus3 · 09/10/2020 16:14

@northerngal20 I'm feeling the fatigue creeping up on me slowly now, starting to feel tired by about 2pm, slight headaches too otherwise no other symptoms as of yet! Literally trying so hard to be positive and not let the anxiety take over xx

KatiePlus3 · 09/10/2020 16:15

@HappyVibes so sorry to hear that you have PCOS, please still stay positive though! It will happen for you :) I have multiple friends with this and they have had 2+ children after diagnosis! Xx

KatiePlus3 · 09/10/2020 16:20

@MinnieMouse4 Eeeeekkk that's a positive!! If that has appeared this late in the day with a 20ml test the FRER will be so much stronger! Xx

Sully84 · 09/10/2020 16:34

Hi all. Looks very exciting @MinnieMouse4, congrats x

@VP91x what a total ass wipe you had to deal with. Some people have no empathy. I really need to lose weight to get to a half way decent BMI but it would not be helpful to have someone dismiss me over it.
Reading some of your experiences of people’s attitudes during the MC too makes me realise I was very lucky at my EPU and when I had the D&C, everyone from the nurse to the Anaesthetist were so kind and sympathetic to me.

I’ve been feeling really down since I woke up with my AF yesterday. It’s like the more I try to not care the harder I fall when it comes. I just got my 21 day blood test results and everything came back with all fine and no action needed. They were also checking thyroid and a few other things. I need to tell myself that it means all is ok then and to just continue on and wait and see what happens. I think part of me took it even harder this month as it was last October I fell pregnant (first month of trying too) and I think there is still part of me that believes karma or some higher being or just that it is only fair that by now I would be pregnant so it is just an extra kick in the proverbial nuts. Oh well, a glass of red may be in order over the weekend.

HappyVibes · 09/10/2020 16:40

Thanks @KatiePlus3 That’s really lovely of you to share the success story to give me hope thank you.

I’m trying to find PCOS threads on here but without much joy for active threads - I think we on here are just mega chatty, helpful and supportive hehehehehe xxx

Runnergirl1 · 09/10/2020 17:25

@HappyVibes so sorry to hear this but there is a lot that can be done now and doesn’t seem to stop people.

@MinnieMouse4 wow looking good 🤞🏻

Lollol86 · 09/10/2020 17:34

@VP91x just seen your post about your appointment. That's so awful that a doctor can be so dismissive at a time you really need help. I hope you are as ok as can be xx

Jadem83 · 09/10/2020 17:43

Hi ladies just popped on to see how you are all doing . I’ve been trying to keep myself distracted with other things and not let ttc consume my every thought So haven’t been posting or coming on mn very often but still over here silently trying and hoping for a 🌈 for us all . Huge congratulations to everyone who’s now got their bfp 💕 and thank you to you all for sharing and renewing our hope 🙏 It’s a tough old journey this . Currently 8po here , won’t be testing unless I’m very late after my first experience of a chem back in August and not much else to report really . Lots of love and baby dust to all who are still patiently waiting too . Hope October is our lucky month 🙏X

RichmondLady1981 · 09/10/2020 21:46

@VP91x sorry you’ve had a shit time. Sending loads of hugs your way. You don’t deserve to be spoke to or treated this way. Sorry you had to go through this. I feel
Like your BFP is the one we are all rooting for (especially) as you set up this group and five so much support and advice. It’s a matter of time- it will happen!

@HappyVibes I can imagine that was a surprise. Like others have said, there’s ways of conceiving with PCOS. I’m sure you’ll be able to find lots out from professionals. Google can be a minefield. Have you been given a next step in terms of your care.

@MinnieMouse4 ahhhhhhhhhhh yaaaaaaaayyyyy soooooooo exciting!!!! Such exciting times! 💕

VP91x · 09/10/2020 22:05

Thank you all for your kind messages, I'm really really grateful.

@Wishingfornumber2 @Pugprincess @Northernsoul90

@northernsoul90 Oh, I can't believe those two you dipped didn't show anything the other one I saw definitely had a line. Are you going to test tomorrow again with a FRER or anything?

@Rainbowhope11 He was honestly, the worst. How are you getting on with your cycle you must be towards the end of this clomid round now right? When do you have you next scan/trigger shot? xx

@Firevie I think what was difficult was I understood that I need to lose some weight, noone is overweight and not aware of it it is just the language! Anyway, I have another appt with my GP to see if they have any suggestions. If they also agree with the BMI restrictions then I will just have to continue to try to lose as much weight and carry on TTC when I do ovulate. How are you feeling? xx

@HappyVibes Yeah, I've been looking into lots of different plans and things to do so definitely going to invest in some other things to help with it all in general. It has just been so overwhelming! I was going to ask about your scans and just realised that you had them back!! Okay so to be diagnosed with PCOS you need 2/3 of the typical things. So your ovaries can be 'polycystic' but you might not have PCOS. Irregular periods and your bloods would be the other two parameters. What have they said about your bloods? Your ovaries could be polycystic and not cause you any issues. You get peaks on your OPKs every month dont you? And periods are regular? It might not be full blown PCOS. xx

@MinnieMouse4 thank you - that was definitely the issue. I can definitely see the beginnings of a line in your test! xx

@KatiePlus3 congratulations, gorgeous lines and 11dpo brilliant stuff! x

@Sully84 Yes, it was the dismissal and he even said it wouldn't be safe for me to be pregnant 'at my size' and that's why he would not want to help for now. It is really bad, because even if you are bigger it does not neccesarily mean you are unhealthy. Completely get the factor of BMI on your overall health, but it was just such a sweeping statement from him. I also conceived last October and here I still am, trying so I completely understand how you are feeling. Sending you a massive hug xxx

@Lollol86 thank you hun - hope you are okay? How is baby and your little girls?xx

@RichmondLady1981 thank you so much, your words are really kind I truly appreciate them. How are you?xx

@VP91x I’m so sorry your gynaecologist was so horrible. If your on Instagram follow “fatpositivefertility” she’s got a website too if you haven’t. She’s helped me loads when I went to my drs and they told me my weight is the reason for my miscarriages. My bmi is 37/38. She’s got loads of research that’s proves weight has nothing to do with it. I feel that if drs can’t find anything wrong then they just blame it on weight. I hope this helps you xxx

VP91x · 09/10/2020 22:13

@Sallyjo27 oh I actually do follow her!! I nerd to read more of her stuff on insta. I mean he knew I also now know I have PCOS which meakes the wright loss harder and probably won't make a difference with my lack of ovulation but hey. God, I'm so sorry you were told that. It's unbelievably cruel and very inaccurate. My BMI is similar to yours Xx

OP posts:
Sallyjo27 · 09/10/2020 22:22

@VP91x it’s amazing how “lose weight” seems to be the cure for EVERYTHING! I’ve heard it makes it much more difficult, I’m so sorry your having to go through this. It’s completely shit. Have you got any plans this weekend? Doing anything nice? My town is back in bloody lockdown so we won’t be doing anything nice. I had my 21 day progesterone test today fingers crossed I’ll get the results back Tuesday x

VP91x · 09/10/2020 22:26

@Sallyjo27 it really is shit, particularly lets say I lost the 5 stone or whatever it is to get under BMI30 and I'm still not ovulating because the main issue is the PCOS. What's he going to blame next? It's utterly insane. He was a dick. Erm, nothing actually nice planned! Oh no, what part of the UK are you in? Im assuming somewhere north? It'll be nice to be at home and get some bits sorted though. This week has left me a bit frazzled x

Sallyjo27 · 09/10/2020 22:27

Congratulations to those of you who have had BFPs over the last few days! Wishing you all the healthiest of pregnancies xx

Sallyjo27 · 09/10/2020 22:29

@VP91x exactly! Losing the weight wouldn’t make a difference and wouldn’t solve the problem. Have you thought about going private? I’m in South Wales. Yeah sometimes weekends at home are the best and exactly what you need x

VP91x · 09/10/2020 22:31

@Sallyjo27 potentially but now I think I would have to go somewhere specific that won't tell me the same. How are things for you atm? Xx

OP posts:
Sallyjo27 · 09/10/2020 22:34

@VP91x my private consultant was amazing she laughed at me when I said about my bmi. She said in no way is it having an effect of my fertility and/or miscarriages. We’ve been giving the go ahead to start trying again but to be honest I’m so nervous I’m not sure I’m ready xx

VP91x · 09/10/2020 22:38

@Sallyjo27 oh wow that must have been great to hear after that other awful experience. Completely understandable that you would be apprehensive. Go at your pace, 💜

Oh my gosh
This has taken forever to find & I doubt many/any of you will remember me (I was @Re6ecc4 but cant get into account) - I took some time off a few months ago because my mental health was being affected... but my fiancé is now feeling really enthusiastic about TTC & so am I and im currently TWW-ing.
Sooo happy to see some people i recognise have got their BFPs!!! ❤

Firevie · 09/10/2020 23:06

@HappyVibes what a shocker of events!!! I admire your positive attitude though goes to show what a wholesome positive person you are! I hope this will give you the answers you need. What are the next steps?
@VP91x hope you’re okay hun! I’ve had the most rubbish week at work. Broke down in tears when I got home this evening. Feel really out of sync with everything and I can feel the pressure I’m putting on myself. Binge watching amazon prime.
@MinnieMouse4 get your FRER tmr morning but looking good xxx
@Northernsoul90 how are you hun? Xxx

VP91x · 10/10/2020 07:52

@re6ecca yes ofc remember you, so lovely to hear from you! How have you been? ❤️

@Firevie I'm sorry you're having such a rubbish week. What happened at work? I think we put so so much pressure on ourselves and it destroys our mental health. Is there any hobbies you can go back to that will help keep you feeling less overwhelmed? Xx

re6ecca · 10/10/2020 07:59

@VP91x it is lovely to get back! I'm doing pretty good thank you!! Very excited to TTC! Have been working on a covid test site so thats all fun! How have you been?

Firevie · 10/10/2020 08:01

@VP91x you’re so right. All TTC and work has got to take a toll on all of us right. I usually do drawing classes Saturday and Sunday morning but cancelled today. Laying in bed watching amazon prime lol. Temp up again ....FF said today premom says tmr. Currently 12dpo but I think I will hold out until at least 14dpo xxx
