@Firevie have you got a pic of your chart? It sounds very promising!! Are you going to do your drawing class tomorrow? Can you get out and have a nice lunch somewhere? Orrr get food delivered and stay in bed all day if you need the chill time and binge watch tv! Xx

@Re6ecca I'm glad you feel in a better place! Are you doing any of the testing /temp or seeing how things go? How has it been working there x

@MinnieMouse4 Any positive news this morning with your FRER? 😁 xx

chloedancer897 · 10/10/2020 08:12

@VP91x just nipping on here to say that I'm shocked and disgusted by that doctors statement to you. Completely unnecessary and uncalled for. I understand that weight can sometimes play a part in fertility but it's not the only factor and there is a bit of tact involved when discussing things like this. Please try not to dwell too much on what he said. I'm just annoyed that he refuses to even help you. Keep your head up and know that you are doing everything within your power to get through this journey and you've been pregnant before so you know his comments are just ill founded and wrong. Thinking of you xo

re6ecca · 10/10/2020 08:18

@VP91x we literally decided two days ago so we'll be using OPK next month I think - just to track when I actually ovulate! & its fun I love working here ngl, there's a really good online community

@KatiePlus3 morning all. I did take FRER this morning which showed a positive but I’m worried that the line is too faint? Can that be a sign of a CP? I’m just telling myself that I am only 11dpo and that FMU wasn’t as strong as I did get up for a wee in the night. The anxiety kicks in already!! Xx

@MinnieMouse4 no that is a lovely positive!!!! Congratulations!!! Xx

HappyVibes · 10/10/2020 09:19

@RichmondLady1981 @VP91x @Firevie thank you ladies. I had a pot of a pity party at first & then I just had an evening of researching & talking to friends/family and now I feel absolutely okay about it. Still a smidgen of ‘woe is me’ internally but I’ll get over that, it’s just our journey & sadly like many of us, we aren’t one of those couples with an easy TTC journey...which does makes it more special and unique and certainly makes the love stronger as a couple.

Anyhow my next step is to wait till Monday & hope the GP can share all the results with me. If not I’m at least going to ask out right if I have cysts. Then I have to wait till my consultant appt (likely to be end of November as I rang hospital to check) to get the rest of our results & discuss going forward. So if from Monday I have no cysts, we have made the decision that I am going to start clomid this cycle, cd5.

thanks VP. Although my cycles are regular, they are heavy, i do have to really manage my skincare to keep on top of my soon & the main one is I do have excess hair (I actually went to the GP before my 21st and said because of my excess hair I think I have PCOS but they were kind of dismissive about it & did a bloods test but that’s it (ofc not gunna show on just bloods, but I didn’t know that then).

The research I’ve done thus far identifies that although I’m getting LH surges on the OPKs etc, it doesn’t necessarily mean ovulation, it’s just that the body is Growing the egg etc but doesn’t mature enough to release...but it’s still picked up by the OPK. My friend is with a fertility specialist and they’ve advised not to use OPKs with PCOs because of this. So I’ve naively been thinking I’m ovulating every month which I may well not have been.

I’m going to do a bit more research today but I do think my POA is clomid this cycle if no worrying cysts, and then wait for the November appt thereafter. We may also consider private too...my friend has her first private appt Tuesday so will see how she gets on and recommends etc xxxxxxxxxx

If anybody has facebook and would actually like to add me I am under Katie Elizabeth and my profile picture is me wearing a black jumper :) I dont know if you guys wanted to keep it strictly to mumsnet but anyone who doesnt mind then feel free :) xx

Firevie · 10/10/2020 09:34

@VP91x see chart attached. We are going for brunch now and then We both have dental hygiene booked after brunch! Then not sure what I’ll do - May go for a swim or gym later.
@MinnieMouse4 congrats! Looks like a good positive! Yay
@HappyVibes still amazed at your positive attitude. Thank you for inspiring me!

Ladies what OPKs do you use??

MinnieMouse4 · 10/10/2020 09:38

@KatiePlus3 thank you! It’s surreal but I’m scared of getting excited for the same thing to happen. Suppose it is normal for every pregnant mother after an MC. I did have a quick search on fb but it seems there are a few Katie Elizabeth’s wearing black jumpers/tops. Xx

@HappyVibes I am in awe of your ability to bounce back and stay positive! You are absolutely doing the right thing researching but this is a big shock so It may be a good idea to allow yourself some time. I agree though, this diagnosis could be the beginning of the end of your fertility issues and you are closer to having your little one in your arms xxx

MinnieMouse4 · 10/10/2020 09:39

@Firevie thank you xx

KatiePlus3 · 10/10/2020 09:44

@MinnieMouse4 this is my profile pic :)

I am the same, I had a CP and then a MMC so I'm really not letting it sink in yet, im going to wait it out and try and get myself an early scan! Xx

Lollol86 · 10/10/2020 09:53

@VP91x we are ok thank you, should be 12 weeks today so fingers crossed all goes well on Tuesday at my scan. How's Bella doing? So what's your plan going forward, will they literally do nothing until you lose weight? Xx

Lollol86 · 10/10/2020 09:55

@MinnieMouse4 that's definitely a positive lovely. Congratulations 🥳 x

MinnieMouse4 · 10/10/2020 09:58

@KatiePlus3 I have added you x

@Lollol86 thank you lovely xx

Bellabubble · 10/10/2020 10:01

@VP91x thank you! I’m feeling ok, work is a great distraction to keep me from worrying or obsessing too much, as I have a tendency to do that! I’m mostly trying to stay excited/positive though - and I’m not sure if I will continue temping, as I know I’mm going to be watching the temp like a hawk as I’m paranoid that my bbt temp isn’t high enough to sustain early pregnancy! I’m so sorry to hear about the dr - what a horrible man! Are you continuing on with the clomid? My friend had to use it a few monthd before she started to ovulate xx

@MinnieMouse4 that’s definitely a positive- congratulations :)

@Pugprincess thank you for the reassurance! I’m now waiting until next week to do the date one I have - as last pg I never got past 2-3weeks as everything stopped at 5+4, so I sort of want to see the 3+ as an early peace of mind before I book an early scan x

2alreadywantanother · 10/10/2020 10:18

@minniemouse4 can see the line without opening. Congrats 🥰🥰
Let's hope theres a few bfp over the wkend. We are certainly due a good run

Northernsoul90 · 10/10/2020 10:22

Hi ladies, af is 3 days late tested again this morning and it was a bfn. I feel so down and frustrated especially after seeing a line on previous test. I don't know what's going on maybe it was a chemical or something I really don't know but I just want af to arrive now as I'm obviously not pregnant. DH is working away this month and had planned his shifts around fertile week but that will all be messed up now too as I'm still waiting for my new cycle to start. I feel really hopeless now and emotional as I really thought I was pregnant 😢 I don't feel like I can keep doing this every month

2alreadywantanother · 10/10/2020 10:23

So my RHR was still high after d&c, higher then what I was pregnant. Has finally started coming down. Hopefully that's a sign I'm heading for ovulation.
Doing 2/3 opks a day so hopefully get my peak.
Hope ur all well. Nothing much happening here.
Have my friend calling for drinks and pizza tonight 🥰 so looking forward to that

Northernsoul90 · 10/10/2020 10:24

@MinnieMouse4 Congratulations!! 🌈🥰 xx

Northernsoul90 · 10/10/2020 10:27

@HappyVibes Sorry to hear about the diagnosis but you seem really positive and well prepared and as always have a lovely outlook 🥰. I know 2 good friends who have conceived naturally with PCOS and there are loads of effective treatment options as I'm sure you have researched.

Sorry I've been a bit crap keeping up with everyone I was taking a step back this month and then the last few days haven't been great for me xx
