@stabal that's a good idea with the calendar. My OH usually asks me and I tell him. I've decided to focus on losing weight and being healthy this month. Especially after all the crap I ate and drank in Cornwall. I need to lose about 4 stone and I reckon it will make a massive difference to TTC. How did you lose the weight before did you follow a specific plan?

@mia1985x sorry about AF but hope you can get your test! Keep us updated. I really hope everything is positive and okay but you also get some answers and help.

@CAG14 so my weight loss journey is a strange one. I had just gone through a period of acceptance in my weight, bought a whole new wardrobe not caring what the labels said but going by how I felt in them. But around that same time my sister was diagnosed with diabetes which was caused by cancer treatment (she had breast cancer) and the diabetes diagnosis scared her more than the cancer did so she asked me to come with her to slimming world for support. I went but didn't intend to get on board, just to help my her. I've been to slimming world about 3 times before and never got any further than a stone but when we walked in we were met with a consultant that honestly changed my life. She was extremely open with us from the get go about her mental health and her personal story. I remember coming home and crying because I felt like someone might understand me, I'd never had that with any other consultant before. So I threw myself into it and she was quite literally amazing support for me. She was so proud of every step and her classes engaged every single member. I won slimmer of the year and greatest loser. However there's a few things with slimming world that grind my gears.. Like how mullerlight yoghurts are only half a syn but the same calories as a kitkat and you'd syn that at 5.. So people are eating pots and pots of yoghurts because they're low syn. So after 3 stone I started to just use group as a weigh in and began calorie counting. It was much easier, less restrictive and I could enjoy wine at the weekends without feeling guilty and going on a binge for the guilt. I stuck to 1900 calories and lost the further stone. Then my dad died and I maintained the loss until around February this year and I've now put about a stone and a half back on. All my own fault, I know that. But it's really hard, food is my vice. I'm an emotional eater. I struggle with binge eating. But I'm trying my hardest to get back into some sort of discipline again, starting with one meal a day at a time!

@stabal how frustrating with your OPKs. Although the 2nd one for today def does look darker than others and obviously that wasn't FMU. What's your temp been doing?

@Kc91 I can also see something on that. Did it take the full 20 mins for it to appear or is that just when you took photo? Do you have anymore tests?

@Stabal no thank you so much for sharing. I did slimming world when I was losing weight for my wedding a couple of years ago and lost over 2 stone so it really worked. However after my wedding I have gradually put it all back on along with another 2 stone!! I am also an emotional eater so can totally relate to that. However the thought of being pregnant being 4 stone overweight worries me as it can be so dangerous so I think i really need to do something about it. With the hope it will help my mental health and chances of conceiving anyway. I look back on my wedding photos and think oh god how did I put on so much weight??? But the way totally agree with you on the mullerlights etc. I was always confused i could eat 2 bags of crisps a day and still be in my syn limit!!! I think I will go and join a SW group though as now I've moved areas and there are a few near me to try. Although not sure what the rules are now with covid and attending groups??!!!

@CAG14 I'm the same. My niece posted a photo on Instagram the other day and I'm in the background and I cried haha. We never really notice it day to day then it sneaks up on you. My sister still goes to that group but I haven't gone back since covid, they closed and only done online (I refused to pay money for an online class and wasn't willing to use zoom, I hate stuff like that!) until about 4/5 weeks ago and now they just socially distance and because they're providing a service they don't need to adhere to the newest rules so definitely worth looking into!

@Mia1985x yes so I got interrupted by my step daughter so hid the test while I sorted her out and by which point 20 mins had passed! That’s when I took the photo xx no more tests I’m going to do another in a couple of days xx

@CAG14 thank you it feels so good to be able to talk openly with people who are on similar journeys! I hope you had a lovely break, and I can completely understand wanting to just go with the flow an not add extra pressure with OPKs. Like the others I know my OH deffo started to feel the pressure so we did start to try DTD more not just in the FW, everyone is different but it helped with us a lot. Hoping it helps a little with you too 🤞🏼

@Mia1985x thank you! Sorry to hear about AF Sad but I have seen on a few posts about pregnancies after HSG procedures so I will have my fingers crossed for you and really hope it helps, do keep us updated!

@Stabal the last one from today does look abit darker so hopefully in the next few days you reach a peak! Also well done on the incredible weight losses!! Shock

My weight isn’t the healthiest for my height so I know it would definitely help to lose a few stone! I did start again at the gym when it opened and been a few times, but working from home and will be for most likely the next 6 months so that hasn’t helped being so close to the fridge and snacking Blush. OH works for nhs so has been working a lot during the pandemic and been finding it quite hard, he has put on quite a bit so trying to talk to him about it without hurting his feelings. I know he has been stressed and it is understandable but I also know it can affect our chances, and I also know how unhappy it’s made him feel in himself Sad

@CAG14 @GNKx I’ve made a conscious effort not to tell my OH when I’m in fw as I don’t want to add extra pressure or have him think we’re only having sex to ttc which isn’t the case. Unfortunately that’s meant that for the second month since We started trying that out timing hadn’t been great. I feel like I will need to have the conversation again to explain how the cycle works and the fact that there is such a narrow window. Definitely torn between putting too much emphasis on timing to give us the best chance and keeping things fun. Don’t know what to do

@GNKx thank you! I've found suggesting we start eating better together is an easier way around approaching the subject. My OH has lost some weight recently from buying the exercise bike and I'm religiously giving him good food for work and making sure he eats a good breakfast.. But then I'm eating absolute crap myself 😂 I'm such a hypocrite!

@Stabal yes definitely getting darker! so glad you got there in the end.. making me think maybe I should continue with OPKs too.
@LT103 have you tried showing him ff app and the intercourse timing section? I have the opposite problem, my oh sex drive is so high he has to relieve himself several times a day... trying to get him to stop doing this during fw because I'm worried about the quality /quantity of sperm he'll have left for me!

Morning all!
Finally got my peak yesterday so I think I will ovulate today or tomorrow so we’re going to try and fit one more bd in tonight!

@CAG14 my oh is also feeling the pressure, especially when doing SMEP, we’ve had a few occasions this year with getting it up and I always feel awful for putting him under so much pressure. I think it’s partly psychological and partly because OH has physical job and is exhausted after work. We definitely need to start doing it more outside fw to make things more fun, I think it will really help!
I’ve also been on a weight loss journey, lost nearly a stone and half and like @stabal I’ve also done it through calorie counting, using my Fitbit to tell me how many calories I burn and then making sure I always eat less calories than I burn. I’ve cut out all the sugary stuff, but still allow myself treats now and then on days when I’ve burnt more calories, so I don’t ever feel like I’m starving myself or even actually on a diet!

@Stabal could you have ovulated overnight? What did your temp do? Test again later.
I did one this morning....think it looks darker in real life too....so I might ovulate after all!

I'm going to Keep testing now. The irony that if I do ovulate next day or two and don't get pregnant....then I'll be due AF on the wedding!!

@butterfly5291 @LT103 darker again now.. Honestly losing the plot 😂 mine usually go from very faint to peak very quickly, none of this days of high malarkey to drive me insane. I'm CD28 now
