@stabal aww that sucks to have such long cycles. After I got off the depo last year, I only had a period after three months. Then I started seven seas folic acid in December and got my regular periods in February this year.

Stabal · 25/09/2020 22:23

@Sjevin I'm glad your cycles are back on track! Isn't it funny how they don't warn you of all this when they hand out these hormones

Sjevin · 25/09/2020 23:06

@stabal yeh if I knew the depo would stop me from getting pregnant, I would not have taken it at all! But the doctors don't seem to care because they think I'm still young (I'm 28). I bought hubby a Sperm test from amazon, but looks soooo complicated!! 😕🤔

butterfly5291 · 25/09/2020 23:16

@Stabal yeah they all look about the same to me... hopefully you're still building up...have you ovulated this late before?
I'm trying to just dismiss it now, had 2 coors light and 2 gins tonight...not going to not drink at all when I don't think I'll even get a tww!

Stabal · 25/09/2020 23:27

@butterfly5291 I have but not since I got my cycles back regularly. The latest since then was CD22. But it's been a weird week with stress.. It's also coming up to a year since my dad died and a few days ago was a year since the last day I spoke to him before he went into a coma so when I think about it, it's not surprising. He rang me from ICU and I didn't answer because I was at work and when I tried to ring him back that night he was in a coma and never came out of it. I carry a lot of guilt, I know I shouldn't but it does eat me up. I'll keep doing the OPKs in case. I'm right there with you with the few drinks, hope you've enjoyed ❤️

@Sjevin we looked at getting one of them from boots before my OH had his SA properly so do keep me informed how it goes just out of curiosity haha

butterfly5291 · 25/09/2020 23:41

@Stabal oh my goodness....that's a lot for you to deal with ..on top of TTC journey. Have you ever spoken to a counsellor? I have in the past for much more trivial things but I loved it and really helped.

OP posts:
Stabal · 25/09/2020 23:51

@butterfly5291 I've had counselling a number of times throughout the years and I had a complete breakdown in February over my dad's death and was referred back to see someone and began taking antidepressants again after being off them for a few years. Unfortunately my first appointment was the 24th of March and that got cancelled with covid.. And then I had a miscarriage May.. So now I have a whole new issue to speak to someone about before I even get to the previous issue 😂 did you go through NHS or private? I've thought about seeing someone private but I'm worried about how much it'll be and it might not be the right person for me and it be money down the drain until I find the right one

LT103 · 26/09/2020 06:47

Oh god @Stabal that is so much to deal with. It might be worth contacting nhs again now things are getting back up and running. Maybe look into cost of private too. So sorry to hear you’re going through all that!!
I’m not convinced you’ve ovulated yet from temps but there is some fluctuation so not 100% sure.

I had peak opk on Thursday and temp rise today so think I ovulated yesterday. Been spotting really light pink yest and today. I think I did this one cycle a few months ago and spotted right up to af 🤦🏻‍♀️ Hopefully not that again!! I’m not holding out much hope this month, our timing of dtd really isn’t as good as normal. I’m thinking if not testing this month and will just wait and see what happens.

butterfly5291 · 26/09/2020 09:20

@Stabal I've suffered with depression on and off since I was a teenager and saw different NHS counsellors....I wouldn't say they helped with my depression really. The last NHS one I saw was a guy and I loved talking to him, I went in with a new dating issue almost weekly. The main stem of my depression came from not dealing with rejection and panic about never meeting someone to have a family and get married. I had to stop seeing him because my sessions ran out. 9 months later I ended up paying for private sessions, it was £45 an hour and think I had 4-5 she was amazing...I actually dealt with the problem (turns out I was with a narcissistic, manipulative man on and off for 8 years and he'd totally warped my brain) and I've been so much better since. I talked to a few on the phone before I decided on seeing so that's an option if you're worried you won't feel comfortable with them. But you should definitely try for through NHS again too.
@LT103 hope you don't get spotting for two weeks! This cycle has been crazy!

How's everyone else doing?

OP posts:
crazycatlady1981 · 26/09/2020 14:16

@GNKx no peak yet! Temp is still low and I’ve run out of digital opks so I’m using one step cheapies now which will hopefully still give me some idea!
Lots of EWCM this morning so I think ovulation is on the way! Got the weekend off with my OH so we are going to BD as much as possible! 😬
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

GNKx · 26/09/2020 15:27

Aww @Stabal that must be so much to do deal with, I can’t even begin to imagine Sad like @butterfly5291 said especially on top of the whirlwind journey that is ttc! I hope you do manage to speak to someone. If I’m going by my app I’m 19 DPO but I’ve got a feeling I ovulated a lot later due to vitamins but hadn’t started temping at that point so can’t know for definite.

@crazycatlady1981 hoping you get your peak soon as it sounds this weekend will be a great relaxing weekend to BD!! Wishing you lots of luck this cycle!

No AF yet but I can tell she’s on the way Hmm trying to keep positive as I’m still only five months in. Just wish she would hurry up so I can focus on next cycle! Hope everyone has a lovely weekend Grin

Stabal · 26/09/2020 15:39

@butterfly5291 oh wow I'm so sorry you went through that but I'm glad you've found the counselling helpful and you're feeling better for it! The last woman I had was amazing and helped me see a logical way out of our housing situation that consisted of an alcoholic neighbour being abusive to us, noisy and causing us distress. We were so tired from his actions we couldn't see a way out. Within the 12 sessions I had with her we managed to get a new home. She was lovely and works for my GP surgery directly so I would really like to see her again. That's a good point about phone calls before deciding, I had never thought of that. My problem is I was sexually abused from 10-18 so sometimes men can be slightly triggering for me especially if something is similar about them so I'm very aware it could take me a few goes to find the right match! @LT103 my GP surgery has their own mental health team and when I asked a few weeks ago when things were going to be back to normal they just said not for a while yet.. So private may be the way through all this! Yay that you've seemed to have ovulated! My OPK is the same colour again today, feel like banging my head against a wall lol

@GNKx hopefully now with temping you can pinpoint better in the next cycle 🤞 unless that BFP comes in a few days!

Crayon7 · 26/09/2020 20:58

Finally peak opk after week of high 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sjevin · 27/09/2020 00:46

@stabal sorry to hear about what you've been through, it must have been really tough.

And as for the Sperm test, it says not to ejaculate within three days.. So not going to use that yet as I haven't ovulated yet.

LT103 · 27/09/2020 10:52

@stabal sorry to hear you’ve been through all this. I guess private may be the fastest way to help. And like @butterfly5291 said, may be better way to find someone that you can connect with. In the meantime, you can always just vent to us! It helps!!

I had peak opk wed and thurs. I normally ovulate within 24 hours of peak tho temp saying ovulated thurs. my temps are so all over the place this month because I missed so many that I don’t think I can trust them. I’ll just say ovulation day was Thursday tho it may have been Friday. We only really dtd once in fw that would have been close enough to count For various reasons so I’m not holding out much hope this month but we’ll see!

butterfly5291 · 27/09/2020 11:11

@Stabal wow I can not believe how much you've had to deal with. Maybe the counsellor you saw before through GP also works privately?

@LT103 certainly a strange month for everyone.

Stabal · 27/09/2020 11:50

Thanks @Sjevin @LT103 @butterfly5291 it's been a difficult journey but I never envisioned even still being here at the age of 30 (sorry a bit morbid for a Sunday morning 😂) but here I am, I ploughed through and I'm proud of it

My OPK is still the same today. What the hell is going on with this cycle for everyone lol

CAG14 · 27/09/2020 15:32

Hello ladies! I'm back from holiday and just caught up! I've missed you all (yes I realise that I sound mad).

So sorry @butterfly5291 to hear about your wedding again being cancelled, but so glad you are doing a smaller official ceremony soon - how exciting!

@Stabal I hope your sister is okay and sorry this is another frustrating month for you, as well as all the stress with your dad's anniversary etc which of course will add to things being a little different for you and contribute to how you are feeling.

@gnkx hello and welcome!! So glad you took the plunge and joined us. When I started this thread (3 threads ago) I thought no one would reply and was so nervous, so I am so glad we have our little community now.

Holiday was lovely and just what I needed, however not that relaxing as we were so busy every day. We made the decision not to do opks or anything this week so I have no idea when I ovulated or if I have yet. We DTD 3 times this week, thought it would be more as we are on holiday but think the pressure is once again getting to my OH as there were a couple of times he couldn't get it up and we had to stop. We had a good chat (with some tears) though one morning about it all. My OH has had issues in the past with not being able to perform. It is all mental, not physical and we have tried lots of ways previously to relax him and for him to feel "in the zone". I think as it has been a year now since we have started ttc the old mental blocks are coming. I also don't help when I get frustrated and it becomes obvious to him I only want to DTD for ttc purposes not because I'm turned on! Slippery slope isn't it? I think we need to make more effort to DTD more outside of FW so it doesn't feel so unnatural and forced.

Anyway sorry went off on one a bit there! Praying this is all our months and sounds like a lot of us are in the waiting stage or just about to ovulate!

Crayon7 · 27/09/2020 16:08

@CAG14 glad you had a nice break ❤️

Stabal · 27/09/2020 16:33

@CAG14 welcome back! Lovely to hear you had a good time and it sounds like you got some things off your chest which is always helpful. I can totally understand your OH feeling under pressure, I feel like my OH is getting that way too. Especially this month when I said I would be ovulating soon and still haven't. I don't know if it'll work but we've decided next cycle I'll mark my fertile week on our shared Google calendar so that I'm not announcing it etc.. Will see how it goes anyway

Mia1985x · 27/09/2020 17:23

Hey everyone,

Hope you are all good!

@Stabal so sorry to hear everything you have been through. Can't imagine how difficult it all must have been, you are obviously a very strong person now. @CAG14 glad you had a nice holiday and I can totally relate to what you have said, I also need to try and make more of an effort when it comes to DTD outside fertile window.

AF arrived this morning as expected. And the only thing stopping the overwhelming disappointed feeling I have learned to deal with each month for the past 2 years is that I am going to be straight on the phone in the morning to hopefully try and book my HSG as you need to wait until CD1. I have read up so many success stories of people falling pregnant soon after having HSG after months/years of TTC. Trying not to think too positively but it is helping me to stop thinking about the actual procedure or if it ends up showing that I have a blockage or serious issue.

Also hi and welcome @GNKx glad to have you on here with us.

Stabal · 27/09/2020 18:33

@Mia1985x ahh let us know if you get an appointment! I really love hearing everyone else's stories and I hope you're one of the lucky ones to fall after the HSG 🤞

I've done another OPK.. Still looking the same to me. I still have EWCM and just now there was a tiny streak of bright red in it when I wiped. I've a headache just sitting here thinking about it all. CD27 now 😤 (ignore femometer saying I'm CD25, it's wrong and I don't really update it, just use it for OPKs now lol)

Hi guys sorry to jump on. So I’ve been really nauseous today unable to drink my tea.. had a random nosebleed last night and then felt dizzy today out of nowhere whilst gardening 🤷🏽‍♀️ tried a pink preg test from the co op and I’m sure it’s a faint positive. I did leave it 20mins before I looked though 😩 can you tell me if you can see it? Thanks in advance and hope you all get bfp soon xxx

@Kc91 I can see something.. Hard to know if it's an evap or not when it was at 20 minutes though. How many DPO are you?
