@butterfly5291 was utterly convinced it would be a peak this evening.. No such luck 😂 driving myself mad. That really is crap timing for your wedding. Will you take provera to stop it or just grin and bear it?

butterfly5291 · 28/09/2020 20:18

@Stabal argh! DTD anyway and see what your temp does.
Mine is about the same as this afternoon. Femometer is saying about 70% but it looks darker than on the pic. I've yet to see a peak on opk.

butterfly5291 · 28/09/2020 20:19

Oh and I will absolutely not be taking anything that might f my cycle up even more🤣
Who knows....I might get my bfp that week...what a wedding present!

OP posts:
Stabal · 28/09/2020 21:02

@butterfly5291 truly would be the best present! I'm convinced provera helped me get my BFP. We were in Amsterdam in January and I was due on so I took it and then took it again in February to realign my cycle so I wasn't due on during my OH's birthday in April. I think the extra progesterone in my body might have helped! But maybe that's just my brain running away from me and trying to find an explanation as to why it happened then and never before

butterfly5291 · 28/09/2020 21:36

@Stabal would it be safe for me to take if I was pregnant? Wedding is 17 days away.

OP posts:
Stabal · 28/09/2020 21:43

@butterfly5291 you're not supposed to take it if pregnant so I wouldn't recommend if there's a chance you might be! For me though my periods are so awful that I'd have to take the risk or my whole day would be ruined 😣

butterfly5291 · 28/09/2020 21:47

@Stabal I don't think I should risk it. My last period wasn't too bad.

OP posts:
Stabal · 28/09/2020 21:51

@butterfly5291 no definitely don't then. Oh I'm so excited there could possibly be the most amazing wedding day present! 🤞🤞

butterfly5291 · 28/09/2020 21:54

@Stabal I'm still shocked I might ovulate! God this is going to be hard tww!

OP posts:
Stabal · 28/09/2020 22:47

@butterfly5291 I'll just be glad if I actually ovulate, right now I'm not even thinking about falling pregnant this cycle!

@Mia1985x did you get anywhere with an appointment?

Mia1985x · 29/09/2020 01:06

@Stabal and @butterfly5291 how funny that you are both having a similar time this month with your OPKs. Both are looking to be getting there though so hopefully you get your peaks tomorrow or following day 🤞🏻

I tried to call for my appointment seriously about 15 times today. Either rang out or went to answer phone so I did leave a message but didn't hear back. I'm just so impatient now and really would like to get it booked in this cycle. I don't want another month of thinking about it and googling all the cases that people seem to say are agony. And I also just want to feel like I am progressing along in one way or another. Will try again in morning as soon as they open 🤣

And ohh how amazing would it be if you fell pregnant this month @butterfly5291 just in time for your wedding 🥰

I took provera as I was due on my wedding day but literally took it for 2 days just to delay it enough as I was so worried it would mess up my cycles.

butterfly5291 · 29/09/2020 08:59

@Mia1985x that's so frustrating... hopefully just super busy after the weekend and you'll have more luck today.
@Stabal I did an opk before I went to bed and was barely anything there, then again this morning and it's not as strong as yesterday day time ones but stronger than last night. My temp had dipped yesterday to 36.34 and then 36.50 this morning. Just a waiting game to see what it does next couple of days.
How did yours look?

OP posts:
GNKx · 29/09/2020 09:52

How’s everyone doing today? Smile

Someone I work with announced their having a baby yesterday that wasn’t planned, I’m obviously happy for them just feeling a bit jealous as well Envy

Still no AF and not really getting any cramps anymore either.. taken a test and still bfn I’m just going to guess I haven’t ovulated this month. No idea what’s going on as this has happened to me yet since TTC, beginning to think I could possibly have PCOS so on my next day off I’m going to try get in at the doctors 🥴

Stabal · 29/09/2020 12:07

@Mia1985x that's so annoying! I hope someone gets back to you today or you actually manage to get someone on the other end of the phone!

@butterfly5291 sounds like you might have ovulated yesterday so 🤞 for temps. My OPK looks the same again today. No real change in temp. Sick of it all lol

@GNKx do you track your temps?

GNKx · 29/09/2020 12:23

@Stabal I started temping later on this cycle but haven’t kept up with it because I wasn’t really sure what was going on. I think there’s a chance I could have PCOS as I’ve never had accurate periods but I think I’d put it down to being on and off the pill the last ten years and other medications I was taking at the time Sad deffo think I need to get in at the doctors on my next day off!

Mia1985x · 29/09/2020 12:27

@butterfly5291 fingers crossed for your temp to go up tomorrow and confirm you did ovulate. Did you manage to DTD alot?

@GNKx ugh how nice but also annoying about the announcement

@Stabal no wonder you are feeling are fed up. Its a hard enough journey never mind when our bodies aren't doing what we expect and confusing us even more. How long are your cycles again normally, I know you said before they are white long.

Well I finally got a call back and gutted. The woman said there's about a 6 month waiting list just now just for the hsg scan due to the amount of cancelled appointments and months of lockdown. Currently looking into seeing if I can get the scan done privately but I don't want to mess any chances up for nhs referral of ivf as our fertility consultant was planning to refer us in February if the scan all came back ok. I had stupidly convinced myself this scan was going to be the answer so feel so down now that its not happening.

GNKx · 29/09/2020 12:38

@Mia1985x Oh no I’m so sorry to hear that 😫 I don’t really know much about private, is there a chance if you did look into it an decide to go the private route that it can affect your possible referral for ivf through the NHS? Sorry if that doesn’t make a lot of sense I don’t really know much about how it works with ivf through nhs and private Confused
I’m so sorry your feeling down after it all, I can’t even begin to imagine.. It’s like two steps forward three steps back especially with how the world is at the minute Sad

Stabal · 29/09/2020 12:43

@Mia1985x omg that is outrageous! I can understand why you're so gutted. I would be beside myself. I had to have swabs done before I could get the HSG and those results only lasted 3 months so I had to have them repeated as I was dealing with my dad's death and didn't call for an appointment until the February. I was actually pregnant when I had repeat swabs done and waiting for AF. Did you have swabs done? I can't imagine how you're meant to align all this for a waiting list! My cycles are usually 33-35 days, ovulating between CD19-22. They have been longer before but I really hope I'm not back to that.

@GNKx I think a GP would be a good call. I have PCOS and my cycles have been irregular most of my life until I lost the weight

Mia1985x · 29/09/2020 15:50

Thanks @GNKx thats exactly how I am feeling, perfectly put with your 2 steps forward 3 steps back. So from what I've read online a few people are saying to be careful that if you go part private then NHS can decide you are no longer valid for treatment through them. I could afford to pay for the scan but IVF would be another story altogether so don't want to ruin my referral when I'm literally months away. Then other people are saying nhs will take the results of private scan and still allow ivf referral. I've filled in a couple of private enquires online for places in my area so will see what they come back with.

Thanks also @Stabal they have not actually mentioned anything about doing swabs. She just said she would send an appointment through in post once I reach top of the list and if it does not fit in with being in first half of my cycle then to call straight away to change it. She said normally they would get you to call on CD1 and try get you booked in by CD8 but due to the backlog she said they are just making appointments for people and advising no unprotected sex from period up to date of scan. She did take a note of my cycle details and said she put them on the system so that when it comes to her making my appointment she will have an idea of when would suit in terms of my cycle. Did you have to get the swabs at a certain stage of your cycle too then?

Stabal · 29/09/2020 17:04

@Mia1985x so so crazy. I don't think my swabs were at a particular stage in my cycle.. It was all such a whirlwind from November after my dad dying in October I can't actually remember but when I rang to book in for my scan on CD1 near the end of February they couldn't do it because my results had ran out from November so I got an appointment with gynae to have them repeated and I don't recall them asking where I was in my cycle. And I don't even know what the swabs were but there were 3 of them.. I assume 1 was a smear! God, it has really been an odd year for me. I don't think I've really sat down and thought about it properly.

Stabal · 29/09/2020 17:06

@Mia1985x I've just googled, it's to check for STIs, pelvic infection and a smear

Mia1985x · 29/09/2020 17:44

@Stabal ooh thanks for that. That's handy to know and I'll ask about them if I hear back on any of the private ones. I said to the woman today can you please consider me if there are any cancellations but she just said it doesn't work like that im afraid. Worth a try I guess haha.

Really does sound like you have had some time of it recently! And even before that. I know you mentioned that as you fell pregnant it basically put you back to the start in terms of fertility treatment (still so frustrated at that for you) but would you consider asking if they would consider going ahead with your scan now seeing as you came so close twice previously? I don't know if I just have rose tinted glasses on due to the amount of googling I've done on it the past few weeks but I was shocked at how many success stories there seem to be from people having the scan then falling pregnant. Lots of people appear to be of the opinion that a flush out clears any debris (thats how they word it not me haha) and increases your fertility for 3 months after the scan. I actually find all this fascinating as frustrating as it is haha

CAG14 · 29/09/2020 19:57

@Mia1985x omg that is so annoying!!! Definitely consider private as my friend got ivf on NHS and still went private for her fertility checks. So hopefully the same for everyone and each situation.

@stabal any sign of peak?

@butterfly5291 I had AF arrive (6 days late and I'm never late) on my wedding day. Luckily wasn't too heavy on the day but delayed the romantic wedding night sex put it that way!!!

I have no idea what DPO I am on as didnt track this month on hols, but AF is due on my bday this month so hopefully it is a BFP bday present instead!

Stabal · 29/09/2020 20:39

@Mia1985x honestly I'm interested to see if there's a waiting list where I am so I might just contact gynae and try and see where I stand with that lol I'll keep you updated 😂

@CAG14 no peak. Have weird cramps tonight so wondering if the temp I discarded was actually ovulation as I'd be 10 DPO if that's the case. Who the hell knows anymore lol. Wow a potential wedding and birthday BFP, so excited!

@stepmumSW5 best of luck for your scan tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you 💕

stepmumSW5 · 29/09/2020 20:42

@Stabal Omg thank you so much! I can't believe you remembered ❤️❤️❤️ that means a lot to me. I've read your posts and have been keeping an eye on my girls here, hoping for your bfps 🤞
