Hi All, I had a mmc at the end of June, and am now 8dpo after our first ovulation since the mmc. Surprisingly, I got this result this morning. Seems too early but it's there... Anyone else got a recent bfp after a miscarriage and is going through the anxiety of it all happening again? Hoping to see lots of rainbow babies xx

Me 😔 had surgical management for a mmc on 27/07 and think I’m about 5 weeks pregnant now.

I’m absolutely terrified. Every little twinge I keep thinking I’m losing this one too. I really have no hope it’s going to go well, but don’t everything I can do give it the best chance. Taking all my multi vitamins, given up all alcohol, & caffeine drinks. Taking it easy at work... at least this way i won’t be able to think “if only I’d...” even though I know that’s stupid.

Honestly though it’s awful, I didn’t expect to be this scared. I was sure it was going wrong yesterday, a bit of brown discharge, & the cramps, still no blood though.

Basically I know how you feel.

Sansa87 · 06/09/2020 14:02

This was yesterday at what I think was 20dpo

@Sansa87 aw so sorry to hear xx it's so scary isn't it? You want a wee baby but at the same time after something like that you know it will just be nine months of pure worry. Is it your 'first'? I have a two year old toddler already.

@ArjaD it’s our first, so I don’t actually have experience of a successful pregnancy, which I think has made it a bit harder to appreciate what’s a normal symptom and what isn’t.

We are 33 & 35 too, so whilst I know that not old, I keep worrying everything’s shutting down in me 😅

ArjaD · 06/09/2020 17:22

@Sansa87 that's amazing, we were 33 and 35 too when we fell pregnant the first time! Aw it will be fine, it's not old yet!! I'm 37 now 🤣 scary times!

Sansa87 · 06/09/2020 17:48

@ArjaD bless you.

Awful isn’t it! I’ve still got cramps, & wiped watery brown discharge when I went for a wee, so back to feeling down, & scared again.

I’m going away this week, & now I’m terrified of miscarrying in a bloody cottage with 5 of his family members 😩

I held on to the research that 2 Mc’s in a row was very uncommon, but then we fell pg both time’s on the first attempt. This one without waiting a cycle after the mmc, so we do like defeating the odds. Just didn’t want to defeat the mc ones 😩

ArjaD · 06/09/2020 18:05

@Sansa87 I really hope it goes well for you. I can totally understand the fear 😳 we had a medically induced miscarriage at 14 weeks as baby was very sick. So ours didn't happen naturally, but it certainly doesn't make it easier. Only about 3.5 weeks into this and wondering if it will even be real.

It’s a head fuck isn’t it @ArjaD

Wishing so much good luck for you though. What a horrific think to go through. I had surgical management at 10 weeks, but baby had stopped at 6 weeks.

recreationalcalpol · 06/09/2020 18:08

I got a BFP this morning at 11DPO after a MC in July. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, have a good feeling about this one

recreationalcalpol · 06/09/2020 18:08

Good luck OP!

ArjaD · 06/09/2020 18:15

@Sansa87 that's awful 😔 i don't think you ever stop worrying after something like that. Why do we put ourselves through it again huh. I hope you still get to enjoy your wee getaway, sounds like a nice family affair!
@recreationalcalpol (hurray for Calpol) congrats! Join the worry club 🎉

Sorry to hear about your MC OP - that test looks positive to me though!

I got my BFP yesterday after having a chemical in June.

I've had awful cramps last night and feared the worst. No bleeding yet though and I've done another test and the line looks stronger.

@Sansa87 that is a very strong line!

Praying everything works out this time around.

ArjaD · 06/09/2020 19:07

@Rumples welcome, so sorry to hear about the previous chemical. Fingers crossed we're all lucky this time. I find wee groups to chat like this does a lot for my fear and worrying!

I'm currently 5+2, my last pregnancy finished 1st august at 5+4.
This as felt totally different though and feels strong and healthy (because I feel sick and tired as hell 😂)

Good luck with your pregnancy, its important to remember that this is a different pregnancy and your last pregnancy ending in miscarriage does not increase the chance of this one also ending in miscarriage.

ArjaD · 06/09/2020 20:30

@Nottherealslimshady thanks, and sorry for your loss xx but congrats, wow you got pregnant very quickly after!! 😍

It's so odd, after an obvious positive yesterday I got a squinter of a line on a frer this morning. Definitely worrying now 😳

OP posts:
Sansa87 · 07/09/2020 07:28

@ArjaD how many dpo are you?

I’ve woken up still cramping, but my boobs don’t hurt today, & I don’t feel any sickness 😔

ArjaD · 07/09/2020 07:55

9dpo today, so confusing. I was amazed at the clear Line yesterday but on the frer today it's hardly visible. Hubby can't see it but his eyesight is worse than mine. Worrying now we had a faulty test yesterday or we have a chemical. Ugh I hate this wait. Don't worry @Sansa87, there are always days where you worry because you don't feel anything. Any more bleeding? X

OP posts:
ArjaD · 07/09/2020 07:55

I say don't worry but if only it was that easy to switch off huh 😒

OP posts:
Sansa87 · 07/09/2020 07:57

“Don’t worry” is the easiest and only thing to say isn’t it 😂 I’m the same, & then I think “of course you’re going to bloody worry. You’re human”

9dpo is pretty early @ArjaD but I am sending all the positive thoughts your way. ❤️

Littlebee1990 · 07/09/2020 08:06

Hi ladies, please can I join? I had an early MC in June and today at 10DPO I got this. I don’t really know how I feel tbh, a bit exited and a bit scared. I’ll test again in a few days x

Wow some good positive results there, congrats all! I fear my positive test may have been a faulty one. I took a frer this morning and there is the faintest of lines which may be an evap. Nothing else. So I'm losing hope now.
