@MummyToPrince ah exciting! Yeah I think it takes an average of previous months - my Ovia & PreMom is only one day different so I'm using both for now.

@Supermathsdoc I'm hoping the relaxed feeling continues! 😂 congratulations for your friend! I'm trying to channel my inner patience too. Not too long until ovulation for you - exciting! Keeping absolutely everything crossed for you! 🤞🏼

MummyToPrince · 11/10/2020 20:58

@RBCoxie Premom and Ovia hadlve 5 days difference 😂 I'm soo glad I am using opks this month! I haven't got EWCM yet like I did early last monthso we will see

@Supermathsdoc how exciting!! Just keep telling yourself We have got this!

Morning girls, I think I'm going to have to miss this month 😢 I've woke up with 2 covid symptoms and have ordered a test, I'm fuming because I stick to all the rules and only go out for pull ups for my son and there's people that don't wear a mask and go to the pub yet I have symptoms I don't go out because it scares me! Sorry for ranting I'm just so mad xx

RBCoxie · 12/10/2020 09:18

@MummyToPrince I am so so sorry to hear this!! I hope you're feeling okay? Maybe if the test arrives quickly and the results come back negative quickly you may still be with a chance of catching ovulation? x

MummyToPrince · 12/10/2020 09:34

@RBCoxie my partner said this morning it would be silly for me to miss this month as the results may come back negative, all I have is a bad headache and no taste or smell, he said to continue what I'm doing so long as I feel ok as I may miss a month for no reason but I can't help but think it would be selfish if I done that? The lady on the phone said the whole process will take 7 days which will be after my ovulation period... I really don't know what to do x

@MummyToPrince could you call your GP for advice and ask what they think? Not necessarily book an appointment as that takes time but just ask for a call to explain the situation? I've just been doing the maths on it - let's say worse case scenario you do have it, that means you'd need to self-isolate for two weeks which takes you to the 26 October. After then, it would be fine. Depending on when you're due to ovulate, you may not have implanted then, and if you do implant then it'll be right at the end of the two weeks when the virus would be on it's way out? Could have completely got the dates wrong on this! I'd definitely try to speak to your GP if you can x

robodo · 12/10/2020 09:57

@MummyToPrince personally if I was in your position I would continue trying as if you happened to fall pregnant this month the virus would be out of your system before the baby uses your body/placenta/blood etc, also like you say it could come back negative and you would have missed a month, but obviously its completely your choice i hope you start to feel better soon xx

Supermathsdoc · 12/10/2020 10:08

@MummyToPrince So sorry to hear you’re not feeling well, and the 7 days for a result must be so frustrating.
I don’t think there’s a right answer but like @robodo I would also carry on trying

  1. It might be negative 2. Even if positive there’s no evidence (that I know of) that it affects anything.

I had a quick look on the NHS website just now and it says:

‘There's no evidence coronavirus causes miscarriage or affects how your baby develops in pregnancy.‘

www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/people-at-higher-risk/pregnancy-and-coronavirus/

MummyToPrince · 12/10/2020 10:16

@RBCoxie @robodo To be honest I never really thought of it like that, you have made me feel better about it. Thank you so much

@Supermathsdoc thank you so so much for that information you have all helped me make up my mind and I will continue :-)

How is everyone feeling today? What CD is everyone? X

Been checking my Bbt for 6 days and it's dropped from 99f to 94f. From what I've read that's not normal at all. A 5 degree drop is massive😬

Have been feeling kind of sick, sneezy, sore throat, blocked nose, coughing, tired. So maybe I'm just ill.

@MummyToPrince Sorry to here your not feeling good either 💐 Covid didn't even occur to me, I usually get sick around Oct. Try not too worry too much. No advice other than ask Dr.

Do you guys think I need to get a covid test? Just feels like usual winter sickness.

Imworthit · 12/10/2020 11:39

OK Dr says I'm probably fine, just a cold. So that's good.

MummyToPrince · 12/10/2020 11:47

@Imworthit I thought maybe I was getting a cold but I only have a really bad headache and no taste or smell, I hope you feel better soon.

Ive called the Dr and he said exactly what @RBCoxie said, he said there is no harm in falling pregnant so long as I don't end up having breathing issues and require treatment from hospital but he was very reassuring and said I'm a spring chicken and will bounce back if it's positive! Wish I felt like a spring chicken 😂 x

MummyToPrince · 12/10/2020 11:50

@Imworthit if you want reassurance you can go on the NHS website and order a test that's what I've had to do as they wanted me to drive to a drive through test place but the truth is my gag reflex is bad so I'd rather gag myself at home 😂 plus I don't want to drive with my son in the car as I can't keep my head up, it's banging!

RBCoxie · 12/10/2020 11:57

@MummyToPrince so pleased!! Hopefully your test will come back negative too! 🤞🏼 feeling okay today - I'm only CD 8, fertile window is supposed to start in 3 days so plan is to DTD every other day until a positive OPK and then every day until it drops again x

@Imworthit glad your dr thinks it's only a cold! 😊 hope you feel better soon!

RBCoxie · 12/10/2020 11:59

@MummyToPrince yay! So pleased your GP agrees! 🎉

robodo · 12/10/2020 12:26

@MummyToPrince Good advice from your GP, I hope it comes back negative for you atleast you won't loose a month.

CD 9 for me hopeful for this month

Imworthit · 12/10/2020 12:28

@MummyToPrince I couldn't get tested right now in good conscience when others need it more and my Dr thinks I'm fine. Your case is different, loss of taste smell etc. So glad the Dr told you to continue TTC!

MummyToPrince · 12/10/2020 15:01

@RBCoxie I'm CD 11 we both have the same plan! This has to work surely!

So my OPK this morning was negative and this afternoon it looks like this, so I think I'm on the rise I hope! Literally winging it with these opks. My 2 apps have 2 different dates for ovulation so we shall see which one is correct

@MummyToPrince I'm keeping everything crossed that our plan works for us! I don't know what else we can do really! Your OPK is definitely moving in the right direction - that definitely looks stronger than before! Great news on the EWCM too - time to DTD for sure!! If you're having EWCM then I'd say that your Ovia app looks like the most accurate at the moment. The first pic you put up looks like it's a screenshot from November 2020 rather than October! Have you put the EWCM into the PreMom app? Maybe that will move it closer? x

MummyToPrince · 12/10/2020 19:30

It has to work!.. Definitely need to crack on DTD, sorry I didn't realise, heres the correct screenshot lol.. Yeah I've put that into Premom and it didn't change x

RBCoxie · 12/10/2020 19:35

@MummyToPrince that's so odd - just shows that the apps just go on different algorithms. Even more reason to use the OPKS! My OPKS are still very low atm - not expecting a rise until about Sunday x

MummyToPrince · 12/10/2020 19:46

@RBCoxie I wish we was ovulating on the same day, it makes me nervous being first 😂😂 I'm going to do anoth OPK tonight and see if it's darker, I think Ovia was correct last month but only time will tell, I'm still relaxed x

Oh my days I don't check in for a couple of days..!

So you know how I somehow manage to keep my shit together in the two week wait? (Work, work, work, clean the bathroom!) This is the point I start getting edgy before going bat shit crazy by the weekend. Seriously, it's like "hello pre parenting self doubt"! Top of todays list is what happens if my kid gets sick at school? What do I do if I'm in the middle of a 6 hr case, and then I need to get a bus? How long is it until the school start calling me a bad parent and calling social services?!

Ugh I've got at least another 6 days of this 😩
